what's up everybody happy uh monday tuesday wednesday monday tuesday wednesday it's the

00:01:56 - 00:03:06 | Speaker 5:

week after the 4th of July. It sure is. I want to say before we even get started that. So we're recording on Monday. My birthday was yesterday. Happy birthday. It was a big one. It's the big one. And I feel like America is really competitive with me for its birthday. That's true. America is being such a pick me about their birthday. Like it's all about America. Oh, and you know, they gotta be a one-upper. Right. And they have to have like a birthday month, you know, which is very annoying when your birthday is at the beginning of the month, because nobody wants to be still worrying about your birthday. It's happened. It's done. Maybe we could have been excited about America the first, second, third, and then on the fourth, but now we're, you're done. We're done. Yes. Settle down. Stephanie have her time. I know. For anybody that's keeping track, Julie Kasem's birthday is on the 4th of July. Happy birthday, Julie. I know. Happy birthday. So imagine the competition there. Right. That's, yeah, poor Julie.

00:03:07 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah. So. I had birthday dinners I went out to this over the weekend too. You did? Yeah. Who? Glenn's birthday's on the 1st. His wife's birthday's on the 4th. and they had a big dinner at Mastro's oh yeah and Thousand Oaks yeah it was fun it was fun he had a it's like whole room to himself his kids were there his kids friends were there his kids friends parents were there and he saved me a seat up at by him at the head of the table because I really know anybody it was really nice yeah it was nice it was fun um I we are celebrating my

00:03:47 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

birthday tonight. So, because, so like I said, yesterday, Sunday, Elby had to work. Elby worked from like two to eight. Xander wasn't home. I didn't think Xander was getting home until today. Dying to hear about Xander. Xander got home yesterday, but so we'd already decided we're going to do Benihana. Cause you know, I like to keep it classy. Yeah. Well, I know you will. Do they have seafood? Cause I know you like your seafood. I only order the same thing. You know, me, I order the colossal shrimp, the hibachi colossal shrimp. Nice. What's great about that. If you're a person who loves shrimp, like me, it's my favorite food is they do the shrimp appetizer. Yeah. It's like, you're getting extra shrimp. Some people might be like, well, now that's too much. But I'm like, never enough. You know what I mean? Like I get, I get my, I wet my appetite with the shrimp appetizer, but then I know everybody's going to be done with their shrimp. I'm going to be just getting a big pile of shrimp. Do you catch it in your mouth? I have to wonder if these poor chef, these poor hibachi chefs are just like, I cannot do this fucking catching.

00:05:00 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 1:

the shrimp tail in my hat. People miss it all the time. Flipping the egg, doing the onion volcano. Do you think they ever just roll their eyes? Or they like, like Bob, next time have

00:05:10 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 2:

better aim. Poor guy's got his, you know, he's got to sweep up all the shrimp that you left on the floor, Bob. Get better aim now. Go to the batting cages and practice. So yeah, we skipped

00:05:22 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 1:

Benihana for a couple of years because they have some audacity with their pricing. Like for what it is I haven't been there in a long time my god the last time that we went as a family I believe the bill with tip came to like 500 bucks oh yeah just for ordering nobody was ordering like drinks or we're just ordering the regular shit and it was so expensive so we stayed away but I'm like it's the big one it's the big one back to Benihana we go good it'll be fun so that's tonight and then we're going to have cake, et cetera, tonight. So yesterday I was like, I don't care. I know it's my actual birthday, but I don't need to celebrate it twice. Right. You know how I am. I'm like, it's enough. We're doing it tomorrow. Like that's fine. Yeah. But my friend Cecily, um, my mom group friend Cecily was really sweet. She was like, what are you doing on your actual birthday? Like, do you have plans that day during the day? And I said, no, she goes, do you want to go to brunch? I was like, yes. Yeah. So she came and picked me up and we went to Malibu and we went to Marmalade cafe. Nice. We had brunch and then we walked around like a little farmer's market and okay, here's my only issue. So the, I'm not going to say the Mater D it's Marmalade cafe, the woman who like kind of seats people. And then, and then she came over during our meal. And she looked, I'm going to say she looked a good, like five or six years older than me. Okay. She was an older lady, you know, and she had like, I mean, she looked like she was styling her hair, but it was like a lot of gray hair and you know, she just looked older. Right. And I was like, I thought I was going to commiserate with her. You know, I was like, today's my birthday. I was like 60. And she was like, Oh, that'll be me in like six years. And I was like, and I had to just paste a smile on my face and go, oh, you're going to commiserate.

00:07:22 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 2:

I was like, damn, everybody's so young. Moted. Yeah. Luckily, I didn't go, you know what I, you know how I feel.

00:07:32 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 1:

You, you experienced that six years ago. Yeah. Luckily, I did not say anything like that. Thank God. Yeah. No. Oh my God. She's listening right now. I'm sorry. Well, you know what? I'm just saying I, I know that a lot of people, a lot of beautiful people, a lot of very good people are letting their hair go gray. And that's fine. I commend you on that. Not for me doing that.

00:08:00 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 2:

Me neither. I have a friend from high school that I see on Facebook all the time. She's like the same age as me. She was my best friend growing up and she, her mom was very hippie to be very healthy. She couldn't have any, like no junk food in the house. And she's the same way now, very healthy. She had the same color hair as me, same thickness hair as me. And she went full on gray silver. It looks beautiful on her, but I'm like, I could never, I know it does make

00:08:28 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 1:

or look a little old, I have to say a little older. Like even, I mean, some people can definitely pull it off, but there is just no way that you're going to look younger than your age

00:08:39 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 2:

with full gray hair. Unless you're in your 30s or 20s, like with, with your, with silver hair

00:08:44 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

or like that gray silvery. I mean, aren't you going to still look old? Yeah. Listen. And also the transition I feel for the people who decide to do it. And then I know it's just a long transition. Right. You got to like color your hair into the transition. Right. I think there are colorists that kind of do that. Anybody who's getting upset right now and like, why should we have to like conform to society's standards of aging? I say, no girl, do your thing. It's fine. And also most men, like a lot of men go gray and that's fine. John has totally gray hair. I don't care. I'm just saying not for me. I'm somehow like a little vain right now. I know I'm with you. I don't, I couldn't do it. And also I was thinking, I had this idea. See what you think. I was thinking that for people when they turn like, well, we don't want to insult people. So it has to be the right person like me. Yeah. But I feel like in lieu of gifts, people should just do like a Botox fund. There you go. Right. I would love that would be good. That's a good idea. Botox. And I feel like if everybody kicked in like 20 bucks, I would get a face full.

00:10:00 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 2:

Like I would be frozen like a fucking lake in winter.

00:10:02 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 1:

You should do that for your next mom's, you know, birthday brunch, lunch.

00:10:06 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 2:

Oh my God. Just have Botox fun. No, these ladies are not, they're not. They're not going to do that. No, they don't. They're not Botox women. Oh. I'll just tell them for me. Listen, for me next year, instead of a candle. Yeah. Just chip in a little money for Botox. You know, instead of charity. Yeah. You know, instead of being somebody who's like, hey, don't worry about gifts. just give to like a charity in my name. No, instead of a candle. Yeah. Botox. Botox fun.

00:10:38 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 1:

That's a great idea. I think it really is. Yeah. Maybe I'll do that too. Yes. Let's do it.

00:10:44 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 2:

Click register for it on, you know, on Evite. Right. Just like, here's the Botox fun. Yeah.

00:10:50 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 1:

There you go. And then everybody, then you have it pitched in and then you, next thing you know, you'll have like, you know, enough to get your, just, just the lines around your mouth done.

00:10:58 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 2:

Yes. People will be like, no filler though. Just Botox. I'll spend it on how I want it. Right. You know what I hate is, and I know I've brought this up before, but it's just on the same topic. When Evite asks you, do you want to send a gift when you RSVP? Yeah. No, I don't want to send a gift through Evite. Right. If I'm going to send a gift, if it's for a registry, that's fine. Otherwise I'm bringing a gift. I don't need Evite to suggest it. I know. I never do that.

00:11:28 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 1:

in fact all my evites always get lost in my in my in inbox and now with this phone update stuff like all your emails are separated out so people are like hey did you get invited to the party and i'm like what no they're like no they said you're there and they invited you and they're like no they didn't well came an evite then i have to go search for it it's in my trash right i i hate that Like, yeah, but yeah, no.

00:11:54 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 2:

Also, Evite, they're very nudgy about like, hey, did you take any pictures? Like, I'll just send it to the host. You know what I mean? If there's some cute pictures, I'll send them. I don't need to upload it to a mutual site. So, hey, let's all look at it. It's just another way to get eyes on your stupid Evite page.

00:12:13 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 1:

Exactly. Exactly. Shut up, Evite. I know. You know, who else does that is DoorDash. Take a picture and you'll get five bucks off your next thing. like taking a picture of my food. Right. I never do that. I've never done that.

00:12:25 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 2:

Show us your Taco Bell haul. No, I'm embarrassed. I don't need DoorDash to be showing that to all the people. Right. Here's Lynette Corolla. Embarrassing. She just ordered some sandwiches from 7-Eleven. Right. Here they are. They came intact. I had oysters the other night, which was

00:12:47 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 1:

so yummy yeah at glenn's dinner yeah dinner was on him so you know they're like what do you want and you know when you're there i'm like i'll just have like a salad like i don't need appetizer but like his wife's like no no what do you like to have i'm gonna order oysters you want and i'm like oh okay if you're if you're buying i'm taking i haven't had oysters in so long it's so good that's not something you can get on doordash either no there's just some oysters strewn on

00:13:17 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 2:

the front lawn. You're like, they didn't make it to the porch. Let me take a picture of that. So on, I'm going to be going to LV's restaurant where they do have oysters. So my, you know, my mom's group does the dinners for each other all the time. And, uh, my dinner is on Saturday. Nice. Yeah. So I'm kind of excited about that. Cause I'll get oysters. And so you guys are going to go there. That'll be fun. Yeah. Get oysters. Yes, I am. And LV's going to be working that night. Oh, that's so cute. I know. Love a kid that works. Oh yeah.

00:13:51 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 1:

My kids to work. Yeah. Update on that. Yeah. They're still looking. Natalia has been, she wants to get back to, she was going to go work for her dad. I don't know, but she wants to go back to the restaurant that she was working at. So she's applied there. She applied to a couple of places, but now she's gone for like a week with her boyfriend at his house in Lake Tahoe. so she spent the fourth down there. Sonny is still looking. So he says, but he's now was gone for a few days in Newport with his friends for the fourth. They always go down there. And so just waiting on that, I made dinner for Natalia speaking of food the other night. And she's like, can you show me how to make the lemon chicken? So I sat with her, I showed her how to cook it. I had to marinate it, what the ingredients were and everything, put it on a blender and marinate it. We spent like, you know, a good like hour in the kitchen, going over everything, put it in the oven to bake. And it's like, okay, check the time. It's almost done. Then I'm going to hit broil. So it gets crispy on the top. Just as I'm hitting broil, the oven goes out, all the electricity in the house.

00:15:00 - 00:16:49 | Speaker 2:

goes out at six, almost seven o'clock at night. Oh no. No lectures. I cannot wait to move. Our electricity goes out all the time, all the time, at least once every other month at that house. Once it was going out once a week at that house, say like same, like that's when they were working on it. But now it's just like, and it wasn't even that hot. We weren't like running the AC. It was a normal day. I think it was kind of cloudy that day. Why? Just went out. No, nobody has any idea why I'd get in the car. I couldn't get my car out of the garage because the garage door shut. Can't open the garage door. So I take her car, drive up the street to get wifi, find out it says it's out until 2 AM. No. I'm like, and when, you know, when the electricity's out, there's no wifi, you can't do shit. You can't even like make texts. You can't send texts. You can't barely make a phone call, like nothing. It's just dead quiet at the house. So of course, Natalia bounces and goes to her friend's house. Sonny was out. So he wasn't home and I'm just sitting there in the dark, like waiting for electricity to come back on. Like what am I? So I went up the street, like downloaded a couple of podcasts, listened to, and just like, then I got ahold of Mike. was calling him and he was checking the site and he was like, now it's saying back up by eight. And then it was like back up by 10 and that was eight o'clock. And he's like, no, back up by 10. I'm like, I'm just going to go to bed. But what am I going to do with the chicken that's in the oven? That's almost not even done yet. Like, like what the fuck? So nobody ate dinner that night. She went to her friend's house to eat. Sunny didn't come home because I told him electricity was out and then electricity came back on at like about 10 o'clock. Now is that like,

00:16:49 - 00:16:55 | Speaker 1:

what are you supposed to do? It's the worst. I don't love the fact that you don't get like

00:16:55 - 00:17:28 | Speaker 2:

any data at your house. Nothing, nothing. It's hard enough with the electricity on to make phone calls. I have to make phone calls through FaceTime audio so that it's like I get reception. But like if I'm calling, you know, I don't know if I'm calling my doctors, I can't FaceTime audio them. So like I'm on hold and then they're like, hello. And I'm like, hi, let me make an appointment. Hello. They can't hear anything. I got to walk around and go outside. It's just, it's the worst. It's bad. I can't wait to move for that. So do you think that you're going to move

00:17:28 - 00:17:34 | Speaker 1:

like on the day that escrow closes? No, I'm going to move in the month of August.

00:17:34 - 00:17:50 | Speaker 2:

okay because i gotta get in there and like you know get electricity get the wife i could do all that so i'm gonna move by the end of august i'll be moved in okay yeah there's somebody walking

00:17:50 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 1:

around in the backyard oh all right um so you'll you'll just have to be one more month yeah at your house that you're in now. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my God. Do you know what today is? It's, um, well, you wouldn't, why, I don't know why I was saying it to you. Like you would even know this today's the day that all the AP scores come out. Oh, I'm only interested because I'm just a super competitive tiger mom and I want to make sure my kids did better than other people. No, I want to know if because this is where they'll know Xander will know if he has to take certain classes or if he's exempt. Okay. If he gets credit for them. Okay. Curious. I also want to know how Sadie did on her AP studio art. Yeah. Sounds like she did great though. I mean, I thought it was so good. I'm just going to be really mad if she didn't like, if they didn't score her high. So do the kids find out and let you know, or do you go on? I don't, I can't find out. Okay. It's so funny. I have this one friend who's like, oh yeah, I went on the kids college board account or whatever. I'm like, who are people whose kids are giving them the, like the login information for shit? Like, I never know my kids' login information for anything. I had no idea when my kids got into colleges. And I have friends that are normal people that were like, oh, I signed in to their, to the UC account or whatever. And yeah, I know that they did get in or didn't get in. And I'm like, yeah, I know. Elby, even for UCLA, Elby gave me access. You're, you know, where this is going to pay her bill. Right. Like third party access, no access to anything else. Not her grades, not her schedule. Right. Right. Just to pay. She's like, you're on a need to know basis. Yeah. I was like, when, when you graduated, like, did you graduate? Like. Yeah. What was summa cum laude? Like, yeah. She's like, no. I'm like, what about like magna cum laude, whatever the other labs are. Right. She's like, no. No, just regular. No, nothing. I'm like, okay. Well, I can't believe it.

00:20:00 - 00:20:56 | Speaker 2:

I still cannot believe she's done with school. She's so done. Wow. Let's, you know what? Let's talk about something really quick that I love so much and you are going to have. I cannot wait. Yes. Laundry sauce. I don't think people understand that this is one of those products that like, Hey, I like a lot of the products that we do, but this one I have spent good money, hard earned money. I'm buying it myself because I love it. It makes me happy to do laundry. laundry sauce is these, the pods of detergent. And they also do dryer sheets. They do like pillow sprays. They do a lot of stuff, but the detergent is so yummy. It smells amazing. And it lasts on your clothes, but it's not cloying. It's not like too perfumey. It's just a fresh, delicious smell. And I always, when I get stuff out of the dryer, especially if I've used one

00:20:56 - 00:21:07 | Speaker 1:

their dryer sheets. I'm like, Oh my God, I can't. I've told my kids about it. I told them about laundry socks. It's my sister-in-law bought and she went to target by the way, cause they

00:21:07 - 00:21:54 | Speaker 2:

made their target debut. Oh yeah. Did she buy some? She didn't. She loves it. Loves it. There's the one that I have bought several times over is the Italian Bergamot. Um, but they also have Egyptian rose and I'm going to be trying the Australian sandalwood in this next shipment. and support with Honeylove. Now, this is not at all part of the ad, but I, it just, I remembered it and I've told this story before, but do you remember when I told you this was a lot of years ago, I was wearing this, I was wearing a jumpsuit like, and it was like, I don't want to say see through, but you could really see like kind of a cellulite sort of thing. Yeah. Like you, I had to be wearing Spanx under it to keep the shape nice. Yes. Thin material, all one length, kind of clingy. So I was, I had these, um, you know, the kind on that were, that go almost to your knees and then they're just there. It wasn't like a full bodysuit or anything, but I needed that. Right. Didn't have any underwear. Oh my God. I think I want to say I was with Robin Wazinski years ago. I was with somebody and we were somewhere far from home, like downtown and we'd gone to dinner and I started feeling like that time that I told you I was on the ride at magic mountain and I was having a panic attack. I was feeling that, but suffocated by these stupid briefs hurting, digging in. Yes. Not like our honey love. No, no. This was the probably size drawing for me. It was like, I was like, Oh my God, I can't breathe. But I was like, I can't take it off because you'll be able to like, like see everything. Yeah. Everything. Well, you know, I ended up, I had to take it off and abandon it. I was in a bathroom. So I had to take my whole bodysuit off. Cause it wasn't the cut, take the whole bodysuit off. I was desperate. I just remember I went in the bathroom. I took the whole thing off. I ripped the fucking compression garment off. I threw it in the trash. I put the bodysuit back. I put the jumpsuit back on. And then I believe I had a little wrap. So I just kind of put that around my waist. And then I was like, perfect. Yes. That's the worst feeling

00:25:12 - 00:25:30 | Speaker 1:

ever, ever. Remember we had, we talked about this recently, those body wraps that we had to wear after our like, Oh yeah. Surgery thing. Yes. And it was like summertime. And I remember wearing it and just sweating. And it's like, I hated it so much. That might've been what I was wearing

00:25:30 - 00:25:42 | Speaker 2:

when I went out to dinner that night. Really? Yeah. Because it was basically like shapewear, but really strong. Right. Right. That's the only time I've worn those things.

00:25:42 - 00:26:10 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Maybe, maybe I didn't. I probably didn't. I probably just wore normal. Yeah. Spanx. But you know, there are those, like those overalls. Wendy and I have matching ones. We wore them when we traveled right on the plane. And there was that lady that walked by and she's like, nice Alvarez ladies. And she's like, we like looked at her and she kept walking and she's wearing the same ones that we were wearing. It's like from free people. And it's like t-shirt material though, but it's so comfortable and so baggy. It's not tight. So you don't have to wear

00:26:10 - 00:27:23 | Speaker 2:

anything underneath. Right. Yeah. Those are the best. Yeah. Yeah. I just try to be careful. You you know, what's, um, funny is I had to shop for a dress. I'm going at the end of the month. We're going to John's sister, my niece's wedding basically. Okay. So we're going to be going to Massachusetts and the whole family. No, just me and John. Okay. They're like, we're, we're good. Just you two. Yeah. We're like, that's fine. Anyway, it's better because then Sadie and Xander can watch Bob. Nice. Yeah. Don't have to like put him in, you know, right. Board him this early on in his. Right. Stay. Anyway. So I swear to God, even at my ripe old age, I still get like, you know what I mean though? I'm like, I'm a full on, I've been adulting for a long time. I still get nervous when I'm like, Oh, black tie optional. Okay. What does that mean? Let's break it down. Right. I'm asking AI, like, what exactly does that mean? Can I wear, like, do I have to wear a dress? Does it have to be a long dress? Does it have to be? I mean, you can, but you

00:27:23 - 00:27:44 | Speaker 1:

could also wear like cool black dress pants, you know, um, and a blouse like that. You know, I think just like, I guess I'm picturing like cocktail attire, I guess. Yes. But very, like very nice black slacks, like maybe like silk or I don't know. Yeah. So I was like, well,

00:27:45 - 00:28:33 | Speaker 2:

I could wear just a jumpsuit. Yeah. Right. You know, but then I'm looking at different, but you, it has to be like you said, like a nice fabric. Right. So then you're right. I could have gotten some like really nice dress pants, which I would have worn again and like a really nice blouse, but I was like, I'm not sure if I'm going to feel self-conscious, not wearing like a dress. I don't know how I'm going to feel. It's, it's Massachusetts. My family's a little waspy. Yeah. You know, where in Massachusetts? Williamsburg. Okay. Yeah. So anyway, I, I went shopping. I went to Macy's. I didn't see anything. Right. And you've hit a certain age where some stuff is so matronly, right. Where you're like, Ooh, this is very mother of the

00:28:33 - 00:29:22 | Speaker 1:

bride. If I was older, like I have something that you, this is, I made this purchase a while ago for a wedding and it was the best, the best purchase I ever made because I've worn it now for like Christmas parties. It's come in handy. It's like when you don't want to wear a dress and It's, it's Spain. It's made by Spanx and it's their dress pants. And it, it's so comfortable cause it's Spanx, it's stretchy and it fits nice and it hugs you where it's hugs you. And then it kind of, they have like a flare pant leg and it's like, it was the best thing I ever bought. And I, it's come in hand, it's nice material. And you can wear that with like a nice white blouse or whatever, you know, nice blouse and call it a day with heels. So I was like searching different

00:29:22 - 00:30:00 | Speaker 2:

options. Cause I'm like, I could wear, could I wear the black jumper that I wore on the Drew Barrymore show, which was like pretty cute. It's one piece. It's got little cutouts at the top. I was like, I could do that, but the material is almost a little for, I don't know. I could have done that, but I was like, let me just go shopping. So I went to Nordstrom rack and I tried on some dresses and I was like, Oh, none of this is me. It was like nothing I'd wear again. Picture you in a dress. I know. Right. It's not normal to see me in a dress. Right. But then I went to TJ Maxx. And I was like, TJ Maxx.

00:30:00 - 00:30:27 | Speaker 3:

near me, there's a TJ Maxx and an Nordstrom rack and they're next door to each other. So I was like, let me just go into TJ Maxx and just see, love TJ Maxx. Right. I look around, I see this dress that's kind of, um, it's long, it's just black sleeveless. And it's got like a little polka dot skirt on the bottom. And I'm going to, I'm going to take a picture of it so you can see, but, um, and I was like, this is not going to fit me. Cause it was a kind of a, it was kind of a small size.

00:30:27 - 00:30:50 | Speaker 2:

right um i bought my dress for the oscars at tj maxx the one year i went you did yeah i love tj maxx it was a gold dry it was so pretty i love it and they have if you go at the right times before they sell out they get new shipments all the time they have like brand name stuff

00:30:50 - 00:31:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. So I, I, I tried on a bunch of dresses and then, uh, I tried this one on and I was like, this is going to be too small. That looks really cute on you. Yeah. And it's got polka dots, which is kind of trendy right now. And I tried it on and I was like, Oh shit, this totally fits. I love it. It's really cute. I could wear whatever shoes I want. Cause it's kind of long. Yeah. Not too long. And, uh, it was like $39 and you bought it. I bought it. I was like good because I was thinking it's just probably safer with the wasps to wear a dress.

00:31:27 - 00:32:05 | Speaker 1:

There are few things more fascinating than a child's imagination. You'll see it in the castles, the cities, and the spaceships they build, turning a few blocks into entire universes. Lego sets get to be a part of that from the very beginning. It's not just a toy, it's a creative building journey that grows alongside your child. Starting play as early is one and a half with Lego Duplo, then transitioning to the smaller Lego bricks. And suddenly, those simple builds turn into detailed structures. That's the magic of Lego bricks. You're not just watching them play, you're watching their imagination expand. Learn more and start building today with Lego bricks.

00:32:05 - 00:33:44 | Speaker 3:

Like, I know I could get away with like some nice dress pants and like a nice shirt. I know I could, and my sister-in-law would be totally fine with that. But I might just be like, oh, everybody's wearing a dress or not. I don't know what the fuck they're going to do. I think you, you made the right choice. Excuse me. It's cute. And also I think I could wear it somewhere else. Yeah. I wanted to, it fits your body. Perfect. It's very, uh, a little form fitting. I like it, but like, what are you going to do? It fits you. Perfect. Thanks. Yeah. I mean, listen, I lost weight on the GLP one, as we have talked about a million times. Um, I, I did not go crazy. I've, I eat plenty. I don't, I don't, I haven't taken it in a while. I was almost going to take it yesterday, I think, or the day before yesterday. And then I was like, I've been going to the gym a lot. And I've been going with LB. I've been working out, I've been walking a lot with Bob and I was like, you know what? I don't need, I don't need to take it. Cause I'm fine. Right. I hit the, nobody needs to be like super skinny at when you get older. Right. It doesn't even look good. You're exercising, which is nice. That's good. Yeah. And it's curbing, even though I still have gone through phases, like, because I, because I don't, I stopped doing the GLP one. Like, I don't know. I have a one one thing left on hand in case I'm like, Oh, I'm getting back to that compulsive sugar. Right. Then I could like do a dose for a week and like reset myself, but I'm fine.

00:33:45 - 00:34:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. That's good. That's good. Yeah. I know. Natalia asked me to go with her to her yoga class last week. I couldn't go because I had a doctor's appointment to remove that lump on my back. Oh my God. Which it, yeah, I'll tell you about in a second, but I am going to go with her when she gets back. Cause I really want to go. And she's like, we can go like every Thursday. So I'm going to start going with her, even though I think it's going to be tough. Cause I think she takes the tougher class, but whatever, let's take my, do my own thing. She's like, it's really chill. You can just do your own, do your own pace. Better than Barry's bootcamp. I know. Does she still do that? No, no. She hasn't been doing that. Now she just goes, takes classes at the gym and stuff. So, um, so I'm going to do that. Does she do, um, a lot of these kids and

00:34:30 - 00:34:37 | Speaker 3:

maybe this is what you're going to do. A lot of kids do power core yoga. Maybe she does do,

00:34:37 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 2:

or there, there's also this like power Pilates one that she does. Cause I used to love Pilates. I did Pilates for so many years and I want to get back into it. So I might, instead of the yoga, tell her like, let's do a Pilates class, but, um, she does it at her gym. So I don't know. We'll, We'll see, but I'm going to start doing that with her.

00:35:00 - 00:37:59 | Speaker 1:

maybe join that gym. Although I go to the YMCA, Sunny and I go to the YMCA up the street. They have classes there too. But anyway, so I went and got this thing on my back. So I've had this, so on my neck, I have this like teeny tiny lump, which is like, it's like a zit, but it's, there's no white head. It's kind of whatever. And it's been there for a while. And the doctor says it's just like, um, it's just a benign, like pus filled, like lost cyst. And now I have one on my back, but the one on my back is like the size of a sand dollar. It was pretty big. And my skin was turning, it was hurting me anytime I sat and pressed up against it. Even right now it kind of is sore. It was hurting me. And so I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago to get a tape and I made an appointment. I want to get it taken out. So I go to the doctor. She looks at it and she's like, oh, I can't remove it today. I have to just hit it with a stair, like give it a steroid shot to calm it down. And I was like, all right. And then she's like, and I can't do the one in your neck today either. Cause I don't have time. I was like, bitch. So was she treating it like a consult? I guess. Cause I've never been here to her before. So my first time. So I guess, but I, I like specifically said, make the appointment to have a cyst removed. So she's like, yeah, I'm sorry. I can't take it today. I can't do it today. And she goes, the one on your neck is not bothering you. It's so little. She's like, it's, it's not hurting you or anything. I can know, but I want to get it taken out. And then she's like, okay. But then the one on my back was killing me. So then she hit it with the steroid. She said it was, would take the pressure. didn't stay the same. It's like, I could, I just want to like squeeze it out, you know, and I looked it up what it was and it's like, it's filled with like pus, but then there's like a sack that you have to remove the sack. Otherwise it comes back. I'm sure people have heard this. This is, it's pretty common. Um, so I was like, so I made the appointment last week. It was like towards the end of the week. And so she like numbed it, she cut into it. And then she's sitting and they're squeezing. And she's like, yeah, there's no pus. That's just, just liquid that's coming. And I'm like, she's like, so I'm not going to be able to get the sack today. And then she's like, yeah. And I'm like, why exactly? And she's like, because it's not, uh, Mally, I, I want to just like drain it first. And then she's like, and then see if it just maybe just goes away on its own, or maybe you just have a little nodule there and you can just live with it. That's fine. but this should like flatten it out and make you feel better. I'm like, okay, all right, fine. So she's like, then she's like, then she's like, does this hurt? And I'm like, yeah, it hurt. But I didn't, I said, no, it's fine. I can handle it. But she was squeezing the shit out of it for like 10 minutes. And then after she cut into it, the cutting into it, I didn't feel, but the squeezing

00:37:59 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 1:

I could totally feel, but I just wanted her to get rid of it. So anyway, still there, still there. still lump still hurts oh no still painful if i touch it it hurts if i lean on it it hurts but um i took a picture of it i sent it to wendy who knows a lot about this stuff and she said it looks like it's healing because there's like a white i don't know she explained the way it looks the coloring she's like you just had it done give it some time hopefully it'll calm down but like it's been like four days and it's still there and it hurts. And it's still lumpy. It's still lumpy. There's a lump. That's not good. No. So I got to go back. I don't like this doctor. I don't like the whole like, yeah, don't worry about it. I'll do this and I can't do this now and I'm too busy. Like. I know, you know, and I didn't like her and I was going to go to somebody else, but then I thought, oh my God, what if I go to somebody else and they do the same thing? Like I want this thing taken out. I talked to their front desk and I said, I want to make sure this appointment, she can take it out. And then they're like, okay, we'll make sure. And she tried to, but then that's what, and she was a lot nicer the second time. The first time she was kind of bitchy, but then I was like, the second time I was like, I couldn't tell if it was the same lady or not, you know, cause they walk, I don't know. Like she walked into the mask thing on. I was like, I don't know. She looks shorter than last time. And she's nicer than last time. So I was like, all right, let's see what she can do. But then, yeah. And then she put a bandage over it And she was like, you know, it should drain and it should get flatter, but it's not. So now I got to go back again. So are you going to go back to the same lady? Or do you think you could try somebody like another person? I might try somebody else. Yeah. I'm not sure she knows what she's doing. I found her on ZocDoc. Oh, really? Yeah. Because it was so simple. It was like ZocDoc. They're like, you want to make an appointment tomorrow? I was like, yes. You know? Right, right, right. I wonder if Dr. Knockaround has any referrals. Yeah.

00:40:00 - 00:40:25 | Speaker 3:

maybe. I can't even get them on the phone for my tests. I've called them, left them a message. Then I did this other thing where they call and they go, uh, your wait time is five minutes. But if you want to call back, this was on Thursday or Friday of last week. You want to call back, push one. So I push one, never got a call back. They've never called me back, left a message, still no phone call back. Thanks, Dr. Knockaround. I know.

00:40:25 - 00:41:22 | Speaker 4:

That's really annoying. Yeah. This whole, the whole medical like industry is really tough right now. I know I have to get my kids, like I have, I'm going to have to get Xander vaccinated for, um, going to college, right. For whatever, I think meningitis or something they, that you need a vaccination. I'm worried. I don't, I mean, my kids are really outgrown the pediatrician. Of course mine too. Like I know they need a doctor. And remember years ago when I got in a fight with them because they wanted the administration, they wanted me to pay $500 a year right in an administration fee. And I was like, bitch, I never come in here. They come in once a year for their well appointment and it's free. Right. Why do I want to voluntarily start paying $500 a year for nothing? We never come in in between. No, no. I mean the, the thing that they've done. My kids have even just gone to urgent care in between. They don't go to the

00:41:22 - 00:42:07 | Speaker 3:

pediatrician for like the flu. Same with me. We were just talking about it. I was just thinking about this conversation that I was thinking, maybe I should go on ZocDoc and find them a doctor. I don't know. Like, yeah, because Dr. Knockaround is not going to be their doctors, but I need to find them like regular doctor to, for a checkup and stuff. Right. I agree. I want them to get their, they have to get their, uh, their, um, not blood pressure, their, um, cholesterol level checks because you know, I have high cholesterol. So it's time like they got to get that, you know, they just need to go and have checkup. Natalia just went to the dentist. Sunny's going to go soon. You know, what is, um, healthy though?

00:42:07 - 00:43:23 | Speaker 4:

what hero bread. That's right. We love our hero bread. And, uh, do you know what? We just got some hero tortillas. Oh my God. And this is going to be a conversation real quick after this, but LB is obsessed with getting her protein and fiber and like low carbs. And I was like, well, you got to try these, the, the hero tortillas. Yes. Perfect. Has been all about it. She's like, mom, you got to get more of these. I'm obsessed. Yeah. Got her fiber in, got her protein in, and you'd never know it's zero to five grams of net carbs and 11 to 32 grams of fiber from the texture. Tastes just like regular, like all like your carb laden foods. My kids love it too. We all love it. Yeah. No compromises, just flavor. And right now they have, they, they have English muffins they have bread they have bagels they have everything that you need even pasta that's right the noodles and hero bread is offering 10 off your order so go to hero.co and use code fcol at checkout that's fcol at h-e-r-o dot c-o 10 off nice pretty good yeah if you want all of your

00:44:35 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 4:

noticed LB is really like into, well, I know Natalia is doing yoga. A lot of the kids are doing power yoga, but they're also seeing all these, um, weightlifting things on their TikTok and they're all into it. So LB is all into like her, her gains and muscle. And I'm like, who are you? That's so that's cute. I'm getting protein, protein.

00:45:00 - 00:45:24 | Speaker 1:

protein that all these foods that are high in protein. I'm like, okay. Sunny too. Sunny's now been going to the gym, like just about every day. And it takes my car. And then I look in the fridge the other day and there's these like power protein shake things. Same with Elby. And I was like, okay, Sunny bunny, you go. TikTok. Yeah, I guess. Yeah. I think they're hearing about it on TikTok.

00:45:24 - 00:45:53 | Speaker 2:

They're all buying the same things. That's funny. TikTok is, tells them everything to do. And I'm like, it is so different than when I was growing up because first of all, LB has a booty right now and she's so proud of it. They love to be thick. Yes. They call each other thick. It's a huge compliment. Yeah. It's a huge compliment to have like a fat ass. I'm like, guess what? That was why I got bullied when I was a kid. I know how different, but so big, like now people are getting

00:45:53 - 00:46:34 | Speaker 1:

fricking butt lifts, butt implants. Right. Right. I know. And also like the nice thing too, Natalia's learning from TikTok recipes, which is great. Well, it's also not good for me because then it's like, can you go to the store and get this and this? Oh my God. A million ingredients. Yeah. A million ingredients, but like, yeah, they are doing these workouts from tick. They're learning all in the, the nutrition, the, the, the protein stuff. I don't know. I think it's good. we didn't have any of that growing up. We just had, I mean, I went to like 24 hour fitness when I was younger. That was that. Did my workout, left. No, like, you know, no powder drinks or

00:46:34 - 00:47:54 | Speaker 2:

anything. I never did any of that. The only time I was in shape was when I was on the volleyball team briefly at school, which remember this story, I never got played. The only time I ever actually played in a game. I fucked up the serve immediately. You're a little shorty too for volleyball. I was humiliated. I couldn't get my serve over the net. And they were like, they pulled me right back out. Horrible. But the training, I was in very good shape. Yeah. That was like junior year of high school, I want to say, or maybe it was sophomore, freshman, sophomore year. And I'd done gymnastics when I was a kid. So I was in good shape until I stopped. And then I just did nothing. Right. And then like, I was always kind of the same. And then I moved to LA and, you know, I thought, I mean, I think it was just metabolism. Like I was fine. I wasn't like overweight. Then I had this job working at a life insurance company and I was only like 20 years old. Yeah. Cause I still had fake ID. right i was probably 19 maybe 20 worked at this life insurance company every it was just a desk job so you come in the morning you sit at your desk at like 10 15 you get a break yeah i love the break room and they have vending machines and you get some chips and then um four o'clock

00:47:54 - 00:48:05 | Speaker 1:

break break get some peanut m&ms how about this anybody ever warm up their lunch in the kitchen and you would smell it and you'd stop. I'd be like, Oh my God, that smells so good. What are

00:48:05 - 00:49:33 | Speaker 2:

you eating? Are you done with that? Oh, I was going to say the opposite. I went, I had this temp job where I worked for this guy who was eating these frozen things, but they were like legumes. I can't remember some kind of weird sauce. And I would just be like, I can't go in the kitchen after he's microwaved his gross food. Well, that's yeah. Yeah. But I slowly put on, I packed on, I probably gained 20 pounds, but I had no idea. So I'm like, just going, you know, I'm like, wow, this is like, not that bad. Like eating my candy every day and like, whatever, getting zero exercise. Then one day, but I was like, I don't know why my pants are so snug. I had to keep buying new pants, but I was like, God, they must just be shrinking in the dryer. I was in such denial. Yeah. I did not think I'd gotten fat at all. I was like, I'm fine. Then somehow they had a gym got built in the building again, life insurance company. So they encouraged everybody to like go to and work out at the gym. Right. So I was like, great. I go to the gym. I wasn't like a workout person and they weighed, they weighed you. And I was like, wait, what? Oh, and I had gained a lot of weight. I mean, you're just thinking I was when you're 20, but let's say I was 21. I had no idea. So I was like, Oh no. Because you don't, because when

00:49:33 - 00:49:42 | Speaker 1:

you're young, like you don't really, your, your metabolism is fine, but then you start to slow down and you get in your twenties and you still think you're still young and you could still eat

00:49:42 - 00:50:37 | Speaker 2:

whatever you want. Oh my God. Eating at midnight, eating like going for tacos at 2am, going, getting fast food, all the drinking to all those calories. Oh my God. Yeah. Yeah. So then that was my kind of a rude awakening. I was like, Oh shoot. And then all of a sudden I was really self caught. Now I understand some people are listening, thinking, but didn't you have an eating disorder when you were younger? Yes, I did. But I, I think, I think I was that, I think that kicked off like back to being very obsessive. And I think I was, I don't know how this worked because I was bulimic as a teenager, but then somehow I must've stopped because I was kind of happier when I came to LA. Right. And then that, that started me back in like, oh no. Yeah. And things were bad for a little while. And then I got it handled.

00:50:37 - 00:51:57 | Speaker 1:

What about like in the nineties, there was all those gyms where it was a big deal to go to the gym in the nineties. It was like, there was like the holiday health spa. That's what I joined, which then became Bally's, which is now LA fitness. Right. Right. My mom was a member of Jack LaLanne's health spa. That was the big one. Yeah. Then, yeah. But Bally's was a big one. and so the 24 hour then, yeah. So then there was a 24 hour curves. Yes. For girls. Yeah. Then like, yeah. So I was a member of like all those gyms back in the nineties and that's how I met. That's how Suzanne met her husband and they had Gracie because he was my trainer. And I was like, you got to come meet my trainer and come like not setting them up just like he's a good trainer. And then they started dating and then they got married. Yeah. But that was all like back then I was always working out always. See, that's so funny. I, what, if I had had any sort of like fitness routine, I would, I, that's why I want to start going with Natalia. I want to get my routine again, because I had my routine of dropping the kids off at school and then going to workout. I wouldn't even go home. I dropped them off and go to the gym. And then that was that. And then as we, and then COVID hit, and then that was that, that was that. Right. Really after

00:51:57 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 2:

COVID. That happens to me though. Like I'll get into my gym routine and then something, I get a cold and then I'm out for like three weeks. Yeah. And then once you haven't gone in a while,

00:52:08 - 00:52:18 | Speaker 1:

you're like, yeah. Or like, if I go, then I go a couple of days and then I'm, then I forget. Yeah. Then something happens the next week and then you're like, oh shit, I haven't been to the gym

00:52:18 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 2:

this whole month. Yes. Like you forget about it. Yeah. Luckily LB joined my gym, LA fitness, and she's been, we're inspiring each other. That's nice. I'll be like, you want to go to the gym today? And she'll be like, I could. Yeah. She just texted me and she was like, do you want to go to the gym when I get out of work? And I was like, maybe, but I'm going out to dinner tonight and I just straightened my hair. Oh yeah. You don't want to fuck. Yeah. Your hair looks nice. I'm like, I'll go to the gym tomorrow. Yeah. It's your birthday. It's technically not, but yeah. Yes. Figuratively it's my birthday. Yeah. So anyway, we're, I think we're on a good path. Yeah, we are. Oh my God. Should I tell you really quick about Xander or should I say that? I think we should talk about it on Friday. Yeah, I think we should too. But I also did want to just mention, um, mention it all, mention it all. I wanted to mention this and see if you have this problem. So I, I was in Malibu yesterday and I went into this very overpriced boutique and I saw these really cute satin. They're like satin shorts. They look like lingerie, but it's big with the kids, right? Yeah, it is. They have their, their black satiny, silky satiny shorts, and they have lace trim on them. And I was like, Oh my God, these are so Sadie, but they were a hundred bucks. So I was like, I'm not going to spend a hundred bucks. Yeah. And it, cause it's a boutique in Malibu. And then my friend who I was with was like, you know, they have those on Amazon and they're like 20 bucks. And I was like, Oh, so I got all excited. And, you know, in my mind, I was patting myself on the back a little bit being like, it's my birthday brunch, but I'm thinking about Sadie right now. Yeah. She's going to be so happy that I think about her. Right. I think about her style. Yeah. So I'm all, I find them on Amazon. I'm all excited. I send Sadie a text of them. Here, nothing. It's like, whatever it is later. I was like, did you get that text I sent you? She's like, oh, wait, what? No. My kids do the same. I'm like, come in here. I want to show you something. I was like, okay, then I, I think I'm going to back up. I'm going to tell her the whole story. So she knows how the origin of this, this took some thoughts, Sadie. This was just like, oh, I came across these on Amazon. No, I was in a boutique and I researched how to get them for you at a more affordable price. Anyway, I bring her in, I show it to her. Nothing. She was just like, huh? I was like, do you, you don't think they're really cute? She goes, they're okay. I was like would you wear

00:55:00 - 00:55:14 | Speaker 1:

them. I thought they really seemed like your style. She goes, I don't know where I'd wear them. I was like to your parties or your little gigs or like on stage. I don't know. And then I was like, forget about it. I'm not trying to force you to let me buy you something.

00:55:15 - 00:55:33 | Speaker 2:

What is that? I know. I know the kids, they, I mean, they do that. I wonder if she saw it in the boutique, she would feel differently than if like, she just saw them online. Maybe she saw them in person maybe. But it's like, yeah, forget about it then. I know. I'm trying to do something nice.

00:55:34 - 00:55:52 | Speaker 1:

These kids are so picky about what they like. They are. Freaking hard to shop for. Yeah. That's why I don't shop for them. You can't. You really can't. Yeah. Anyway, I thought you'd appreciate that or relate to it. I don't know if Natalia gets that way. I bought, well, I did think of her

00:55:52 - 00:56:19 | Speaker 2:

cause she was watching the Godfather and she was like all into it. And I saw a jacket that said Italia on my Instagram and I bought it for her and I sent it to her and I go, I sent you a little something I thought that you'd like. And it's like bright blue and it said Italia. And so, um, and then she got it and she FaceTimed me and she's like, Oh my God, I love it. Oh, she did. So it was the opposite, but yeah, she loved it. She wears it all the time.

00:56:19 - 00:56:44 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. I do not know my kids taste at all. I think you do. I don't think I do. Cause I'll show LB stuff or we'll be at a, like a store, like, you know, Nordstrom rack or whatever. And I'll be like, Oh, like, what do you think of this? And she'll be like, for who? I'll go for you. Obviously it's like way too small for me. And she'll be like, no. Yeah. Natalia used to

00:56:44 - 00:57:01 | Speaker 2:

be that way. I don't really shop with her that much anymore, though she comes in my closet and takes a lot of my clothes. And I'm like, I don't ever wear that anymore. You can keep it. So she's just wearing all my shit now, which is nice. Well, I had seen, remember I told you Sadie sent

00:57:01 - 00:58:55 | Speaker 1:

me that really long Christmas list last year. And there was like a little moto jacket on it that was very expensive at urban. Right. But then somebody on my buy nothing group, do you remember this had one. Now I don't. Yeah. So somebody had this really cute, you know, just a pleather, but looked like a little, little, very similar to the style that she wanted, like a little, like cropped straight, not like a big motorcycle jacket, but like a kind of a dainty for women. Right. Right. Anyway, I was like, Oh my God, I really, really love this. You know, you know, I hoard it up on buy nothing. And I won it. And I picked it up. And of course it was thinking of Sadie, right. Get it home. And I'm like, Sadie, I got, I got something, you know, whatever. And I show it to her. And she was like, she was like, Oh, I was like, I know it's not exactly the one that you saw in urban outfitters, but it's like a little moto jacket. Like it's so cute. And she was like, okay, cool. So then I was like, well, fine. I'll wear it. It's really cute. Like it fits me too. And then, so I was like, listen, I'll put it in our communal, the closet. Right. And if you want to wear it, you can wear it. Now she wears it all the time. After, after poo-pooing it. Yeah. I'm like, oh, I guess you like that jacket. Right. You're the only one who wears it. Right. Oh, that's cute. That's cute. I guess so. All right. Um, well I do have, I'll have all the Xander updates for you for Friday, but let's say hi to our friends.
