us through the first date okay uh well i went on a fabulous date with a girl named kathy and uh we actually met on a website called uh coffee meets kathy meets bj oh my god what a great app i love it and one of the things we have in common the most is we like to try like new restaurants sure go to new places sure we consider ourselves to be like foodies so uh we've been we when we met on the website we started like messaging back and forth for a couple of weeks like getting to know each other then we finally decided we're going to go to this like korean joint uh here in san francisco and uh i thought everything was going really well we had like really good talks we talked about the places we love to eat we talked about the places that we would love to go together we also actually talked about the fact that we're both uh dog lovers like i have a pit and I don't know I've been messaging her for like a second date and I've been texting her at least for like a week and I'm getting no response so I'm kind of confused

We do a show in the morning on the radio. Oh, okay. And we do something called Second Date Update, and that's where we're trying to figure out what happened on a first date and why you've been ghosting somebody.

We want to ask you about your date with BJ. So what can you tell us?

BJ is a sweetheart. he's very sweet and um i really had a good time except for one little thing that just kind of really kind of became a bigger thing as the date went on he is a big yelp guy like he loves to put reviews on yelp and i get it i do it too but it's almost like a hobby for him okay um and he's very much into that and he was like he quoted he's a highly ranked yelp reviewer something like that And I was just like, okay, that's cool. He's an elite Yelper.

I do reviews, but I've never been called highly ranked. You reach status. You get badges.

I didn't know that. Yeah, some sort of like he leveled up to like the highest level or something. I don't know. But anyway, like the whole, like after a certain point, he started reading all of his Yelp reviews and how many likes they got.

On the date?

On the date. and he didn't even ask me like what i did or anything like like the whole date after a certain point was just all about his yelp reviews and i'm just like okay and it was just kind of like is this all this guy does like is this his whole life it was just weird and so just I'm kind of like, all right.

So you found it lame enough to ghost. Kind of like a one-sided conversation, it sounds like.

Yeah, very much. After a while, I just kind of stopped asking him questions because all he wanted to do was talk about these Yelp reviews that he did. I'm just like, okay.

I just want to say, I'm really, really sorry. Like, I really like you, and I think I just got really nervous and started rambling on about different things. Like, I'm sorry about that. He says legitimately sorry.
