Um, not only that, but he has got his life together. He's got a job in finance. Um, yeah, he's good. And of course he has, he even has an own home and he takes care of himself and oh man, let me tell you, he has a great day. I legit thought you were going

to throw in and he has all his teeth, you guys. Sorry. You seem very excited, which I like.

tell us how the date went so we ended up meeting up for dinner um in palo alto okay um it was so much fun and honestly like he was even better in person like messaging him was really fun and it was really you know kind of flirtatious um in person though like he was a super sweet such a gentleman i mean we were having so much fun and so like after the date was over and you know i was We flirted, and then we left, and then I messaged him goodnight, and that I had a really good time. And then I just never heard anything back. And I was a little, I'm not going to lie, I was kind of a little picked and a little missed. But more than anything, I was really confused because I thought that we had a really great time together.

Why are you calling? Todd, I don't know if you're familiar with the show, but we do a little thing called Second Date Update.

I actually am familiar.

Okay.

So in Second Date Update, someone goes on a date and they thought they had a really good time and it turns out something was up. And so we call the other person, which happens to be you.

Okay.

We wanted to talk to you about Bettina.

Yes. She says you ghosted. And she thought you were pretty dreamy.

Well, that's nice for her to say. Well, she was quite lovely herself. She's great. We had a good time kind of like setting it all up. Like we had this good rapport when we were like messaging each other. And she's stunning. She's like a part-time Pilates instructor. So we arranged it. We met at the restaurant and ordered some drinks. And, you know, we're looking at the menu and drinks came. And she notices that there's some, like, lipstick residue on the glass, which, like, gets annoying. But so she calls the server over, points it out, and immediately brings another glass. Nice guy. And Bettina, though, is not happy. She won't let this go. And so she says the server should have noticed this. ridiculous and i i can't believe that that he wasn't more apologetic or something and she kind of just remained rude to the server after that which was kind of awkward um i don't like i don't

like that when someone's rude to a server yeah at all um and so we're looking at food and we're

thinking i'm thinking about getting the um southwestern salad and i say we because she just chimed in and said oh i'll split that with you and i that's fine uh i didn't really know what to say didn't want to split it with her um and then when we go to order it she says we'll split the salad and please take off the tortilla strips and i was like well i kind of wanted those i actually wanted now it doesn't have those things and now i have half the salad i wanted um so the server says they'll put them on the side for you and i'm like okay fine and then and then like rapid fire she prattles off four appetizers that she wants and she wants to split those didn't ask me fine again um and the server was kind of overwhelmed and she didn't get it all and so Bettina is now super annoyed that she had to repeat herself so basically like the whole night was about her and about how everything around us wasn't going well um very kind of self-centered pretty pretentious i i'd have to say and i just didn't like the server thing it was it

just rubbed me the wrong way that's a red flag i'm exhausted yeah with someone who treats a server bad that's a sign that they're probably going to treat other people bad um okay well here's the

thing is that patina's on the phone she's listening right now right i yeah i forgot that oh yeah i I forgot he knows.

Bettina, do you want to defend yourself? Yeah.

I mean, I don't think that there's anything wrong with expecting good service. I mean, they're in the business of serving people. And not only that, but, I mean, if you were a gentleman, I feel like you'd be fine with that, and you would be happy to share your food with me. I mean, I don't eat a lot anyway. I told you that right off the bat, so I figured flooding food was not that bad. Plus, I mean, come on. I'm a woman, so therefore I take priority.

Wow, I've never heard that before. I don't have to say much else, but I think the defense rests on this one. I mean, you see what I'm dealing with, right? Bettina. Kind of a pain.

I mean, this is her best foot forward, too, by the way. Like, this is date one. So what happens when we get more comfortable?
