Yeah, so we met on Hinch. And, yeah, just a lot of communication on there. And then we finally decided to meet up in person. So we met up last week for just like margaritas. margaritas. She was really cute. Curly brown hair. I loved it. She had a beagle, which she showed me pictures of. I actually have a German Shepherd. So we talked a lot about that.

As dog parents, you shared photos.

Yes, yes. And yeah, I mean, I felt like the day went really well. I felt like, you know, there were sparks. You know, I've texted her a few times and she hasn't responded. And now we're here. Okay.

I know this is a little random and very early. Do you hear ever listen to our show by any chance? I have. Yeah. It's been a little while. I started a new job. My hours are different.

No problem. We actually have a segment we do every day called Second Date Update. We're just trying to help people out who are dating or just trying to meet new people. We heard from somebody that knows you or went out with you named Craig. Does that sound familiar?

Okay. Yeah. She's laughing, so that's got to be good, right? Not like we want to know all the details, but...

So Craig wants to take you out again. he felt like the date worked but he says that um that you're not getting back to him on any level so we're just trying to get to the bottom of it did it go okay where are we at so i mean yeah he

was he was nice during the date um a little weird and shy at first but you know after we both had a couple of margaritas he opened up he was a little bit more talkative okay um he seems like a really nice guy i mean like no like maybe it sparks or anything like that but i do know you know sometimes it takes time to get to know someone and this world we live in it's very different now so people are just you know it takes them a bit to be themselves um at the end of our day

He told me to text him when I got home so that he knows I made it safe. And I did. You know, it's sweet when someone does that. And then he texted me back, and he was like, hey, how's your night going? And to me, I was like, didn't I just see this guy? What was the same night? It had been a couple of hours. After the date? Okay. Yeah.

All right.

But then in the morning, I got another text. Good morning, beautiful. How are you? Later that day, how's your day going? Wait, so when you're getting his texts, you're not responding back to him? No. This new job I have is, like, incredibly overwhelming. And, you know, I'm not even a big, like, I'll text. But, like, if I'm busy at work, I'm not going to answer you. Yeah.

Right.

And he just kept texting.

Okay, well, Leslie, he's, Craig is on the phone with us right now.

Hey, Craig, we got some answers.

I'm sorry to make it a little more weird, but Craig, are you still there?

Yeah, I mean, you know, I was just trying to follow up, you know, just kind of, like, say hello. Like, I don't understand what's wrong with that, you know, just had to respond. It's not like I was, like, trying to hang out again immediately or anything.

No, but you, like, just didn't give me a chance to respond. And, like, wouldn't you, before you text someone over and over again, wouldn't you wait for them to respond? I mean, it kind of came off as, like, a little needy. Like, I mean. I mean, it wasn't, like, back to back. I mean, I was waiting. Yeah, but you didn't wait for me to respond.

Okay. Well, I mean, I don't know. I didn't think it was a big deal.

Craig, how many texts did you send her, like, without her responding?

I don't know, like three. It wasn't a lot. Okay. Like three or four.

Okay. Was that just too much for you, Leslie?

It just gives me anxiety. Like, I'm already busy. I'm working. And, like, it's just, like, another thing I have to do, another task I have to complete now instead of, like, looking forward to talking to somebody.

Okay. Listen, we've got some self-awareness now. What if Craig backs off a little bit? Craig pumps the brakes on the texting. Can we try this again?

I don't know. I mean, maybe it's just part of his personality. I mean, he's a very nice guy, but maybe that's just part of who you are. I don't know.
