not a problem uh so we met on hinge and uh we decided to connect for lunch this was uh last week in claremont okay this is awesome little uh craft burger joint that i go to every time that i'm in that general area okay and i just had a real feeling you know from our messaging back and forth on hinge i knew she was gonna like it uh and yeah no she did you know we we get there beautiful wonderful uh woman really happy that uh that we managed to connect uh we really kind of met on the same level a lot right like she's in the medical field i'm in software so you know both high-end jobs uh she really loves crossword puzzles i'm big into crossword puzzles trivia and books like real books right like real books like not like this inner stuff like actual like physical real books so we're connecting we're vibing on all these different levels and it was um i mean just one of the best first dates that i've had in a long time that's why i thought it was a little weird like at the end of the date you know we hugged and you know everything and then i just never heard from her again and at this point i'm just wondering what what gives like what what happened you know so it's been a full ghost since then yeah just nothing back You know, I did my due diligence. I followed up. I messaged. I called. Not like to a weird, aggressive level, but just didn't hear anything back.

just was really thrown off like from the whole experience i mean i was truthfully just like exhausted from from the whole like lunch because what happened i don't know i came in with good intentions he's a super nice guy and everything and it's just that like every time i would bring up a subject to talk about he would just like try to like one-up me on like every factual like and he's super smart he knows a lot about like a lot of subjects but it's like i was kicking myself every time I brought up a different subject because he would just like try to like I don't know mansplain everything that I could probably bring up like I talked about how all the flights that were being grounded by the FAA last week and he was like yeah like some dumbass engineer I would have done it like this and blah blah and he was just like getting like really intense about every subject and I felt like I was being attacked and I was just trying to have like a lunch and you know i love passion i love like someone who's super passionate and smart and everything but it was like i just felt like he needed to take a chill pill was he negative he wasn't negative he was i mean a little bit when i talked about like i was like oh maybe we should go see the avatar movie he's like that like that like that movie's gonna suck like the first avatar is the only avatar that matters and then i was like oh great okay never mind so anytime i tried to bring up something like that i had an opinion about he would like upstage me and i didn't really like

that dalton are you listening i mean are you hearing what she's saying i am i i'm thoroughly disagreeing with it um i i mean that's what we're supposed to do right like you're getting to know a stranger you share topics you share opinion and having the same opinion isn't interesting right that's boring that's that's what people who don't take the time to think and analyze life do is just kind of go with what the other person is saying i think there's a difference though

between a lively conversation and or debate and then an aggressive yelling at someone about why

they're wrong well technically i mean there was no yelling christina would agree it's not like i like you know had my finger in her face was like you're an idiot you don't know what you're talking Like, that wasn't what was going on. It was a jovial disagreement on a certain number of topics.

Well, I think you need to work on your listening skills, and I also think you need a new haircut. And maybe you should wash your hair because it looks, like, a little greasy and kind of smells weird.
