More variety from the 2000s, the 90s, and today it's a star, 101.3. It's Marcus and Sandy. It's time once again for Second Data Update. Let's do this.

00:01:18 - 00:01:28 | Speaker 3:

Yep, if you go out with someone and then you have a hard time finding them after the date, maybe they just kind of disappear or conversation is a little weird, we will call them to figure out what's happening.

00:01:28 - 00:01:30 | Speaker 5:

Say what's up to Deb. Good morning, Deb.

00:01:30 - 00:01:41 | Speaker 3:

Hi, all. Good morning. Hey. Hi, Deb. So we got your email about Christian. So I guess tell us about your date. How did it go? Was he cute? Was the conversation nice? How'd you meet? All the good stuff.

00:01:41 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, well, we met on Tinder and we hit off pretty quickly. All right. We both have a lot of things in common, how much we love hiking and nature and just being outside as much as possible. We went to a nice, like, little restaurant bar, and I thought we were hitting it off again in person. And we kind of, at the end of the night, and we kind of had one of those moments where it's like, do we kiss, do we not? And it was a little awkward. but other than that it went i thought it went really well and i kind of have been hinting to him to go out on another date but he's kind of been like breadcrumbing you know just barely messaging me back and anytime i do try and bring up hey let's go out like when do you want to go out again sure say like yeah okay uh yeah we can talk about that later and then he'll We'll just change to a completely different subject right away. And I just, I can't really get a straight answer from him. And he seems to be messaging me less and less. So that's kind of where we're at right now.

00:02:46 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 5:

Super frustrating.

00:02:47 - 00:02:53 | Speaker 3:

You know what makes me laugh when they're like, oh, I didn't get any texts the other day. I wasn't getting texts. Yes, you were. Everybody gets texts.

00:02:53 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 5:

What about that red receipt, though?

00:02:55 - 00:02:56 | Speaker 3:

The worst.

00:02:56 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 5:

The worst. Anyway, all right. So what we're going to do, we're going to call Christian and see what's up. He will be able to hear you. so I would mute your phone. I always tell people to do that. And then we'll see if we can get some answers, okay?

00:03:09 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 4:

Okay, sounds good.

00:03:10 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 5:

All right, hon, hang on. Sit tight for one song. It's a second date update, Star 101.3. Hang on. More variety from the 2000s to the 90s and today. It's Star 101.3. It's Marcus and Sandy. You all know we're in the middle of a second date update. We've been talking to Deb. Deb, good morning.

00:03:23 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. So I know, Deb, you're trying to figure out what happened to Christian. You guys met on Tinder. You had a nice little dinner, San Jose, outdoors, good vibe. um you both i guess are into hiking and the weather was nice and seems like the chemistry was there a little bit of an awkward kiss you said at the end but other than that so what we're

00:03:41 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 5:

going to do is we're going to call christian and see what's up can you mute your phone out real quick yes yes i will all right here we go you guys

00:03:47 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 3:

hello good morning is this christian yeah it is hi christian this is marcus and sandy we actually are on a morning radio show on star 1013 hi how are you hi i know it's a little random because you're like okay it's way early why are you calling um i'll make it quick somebody contacted us about you i guess that knows you that recently saw you named deb and she said okay yeah she said she went out with you she had a good time she'd love to see you again she's reached out okay yeah i know who deb is okay

00:04:31 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 5:

She wants to go out on another date. I'll be just totally honest with you.

00:04:34 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 3:

We're just trying to see how the date was for you. Are you even interested or what your experience was?

00:04:41 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I mean, she was cool. I guess the date was, to me, it was just kind of awkward, I guess. Like, we'd gone out and, I don't know, I mean, everything started out fine, I guess. We were both kind of outdoorsy people. so

00:05:00 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 5:

we spent some time you know talking about stuff like uh hikes we have a bucket list hike um so that was kind of cool like we want to do mountain kilimanjaro in tanzania and the inca trail in peru like you know that sort of stuff those are hard that's aggressive yeah but i think it all started to kind of fall apart at dinner um because uh i mean little did i know until about halfway through the date maybe her best friend was sitting at the bar and i mean it wasn't a coincidence or anything and this is a guy and he i don't know like i i just started getting suspicious because she would keep getting up to go to the bathroom and you know she's taking forever like we're talking like 10 15 minutes and at some point i'm looking around for her i'm thinking like oh you know maybe food is bad like I'm good but I don't know um and then I'm looking around and I see her at the bar talking to this guy and you know at first I'm like what the heck talking like they were talking talking you know I'm far enough away that I'm not sure what kind of talking it is but it seemed to be flirty to me okay um but like the second time it happens I'm calling her out you know like I'm like who is this guy at the bar and she says you know oh it's my best friend and And, you know, he's just there to keep an eye on things. What is he, like the Secret Service?

00:06:21 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 7:

Okay, I'm going to tell you right now, Christian. Deb is on the line with us. I'm sorry.

00:06:24 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 4:

Deb, what is going on?

00:06:26 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 7:

You got a security detail? Yeah, hi.

00:06:30 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 4:

Hey.

00:06:30 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 7:

What's up with a friend at the bar? Was that planned?

00:06:34 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 2:

Okay, yes. And this is, like, just a really big misunderstanding because he was my best friend of 15 years. and we always have a saying about especially when we meet people through online you know it can be dangerous even if it's in public you just never know you know so we have a deal that if i you know one of us goes on a first date then there's always somebody out there around to like watch just in case i leave and my drink is left unattended just a major what-if scenario So it's literally all that was.

00:07:10 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 5:

Deb's got a body, man. Look, I mean, like, I totally understand, like, the need to be safe. I mean, it's 2022. Like, come on. But once you kind of get the vibe that, like, I'm not a creeper and, you know, like, she's having a good time, like, shouldn't the friend just bail? Like, why would Deb need to constantly go by and, like, give him, like, a play-by-play? You know what I mean?

00:07:34 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 2:

I mean, maybe you're right. Like, maybe I did spend too much time with him whenever I would go up and kind of just let him know what was going on. But, I mean, I also hadn't seen him in a while, so it was a little bit of a socializing moment, and I apologize about that. I mean, I probably should have told you more, but I just didn't want to give that away.

00:07:55 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 5:

Okay. My thing, like, it was just coming across as really rude. And, I mean, you know, if you like his company so much, then, like, I just, I didn't understand, like, maybe you guys should think about going out on a date. Like, clearly, you already have the chemistry built in there.

00:08:13 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 7:

Well, now that you both have been honest about this, what about a second date? No friend showing up. You guys now know what's up.

00:08:21 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 4:

Christian, let's start with you, since we're calling you. Since we have some awareness now, can we back up and try this again?

00:08:26 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 5:

Deb, I think you really are a great girl, and we did have a lot in common, but I'm a guy, and I could see the way that Colton looked at you, and to me, I personally feel that he maybe has a little thing for you, I just think it's a little bit of a messy situation, so I'm going to say I'm out, and I don't want to go out on a second date, I'm sorry.

00:08:55 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 3:

All right, cool. Sounds good. That was a little strange, wasn't it? Was that strange or was it just me?

00:09:01 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 7:

I felt like we were just in a counseling session.

00:09:05 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 3:
