Hi, guys. How are you?

00:01:49 - 00:01:50 | Speaker 5:

Good. Garrett, how are you doing, dude?

00:01:51 - 00:01:56 | Speaker 4:

I'm pretty good. I'm a little confused at some stuff that happened in my love life recently.

00:01:56 - 00:02:04 | Speaker 5:

I was going to say, tell us about Olive. Let's start with how you met, and then we'll roll right into how the first date went.

00:02:04 - 00:02:35 | Speaker 4:

Well, I'm not huge on the dating apps, but I did try out Inge, which feels like a slight level above, you know, like Bumble Tinder. Sure. And so I met her on there. You know, I think she's beautiful, very attracted to her, but not just the way she looks, her personality. You know, it's it's sometimes it's difficult for me to find a girl who likes to read, go to museums, listen to, you know, certain music that I like. It's not necessarily mainstream. And, you know, she checked all those boxes.

00:02:35 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 5:

I was just going to say, was she that girl? Apparently.

00:02:38 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. You know, I I I've been on a few dates where the girls are just I'm literally telling a story and their their phone just kind of emerges into the, you know, to the church. And I'm like, hey, what are you doing? Oh, I just needed to check something on my Instagram. Sure. Get a notification. That's rude.

00:02:54 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 7:

That's rude.

00:02:55 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So we went to the SF MoMA and, you know, walked around, had great conversation. Had a lot of laughs, too. Like intelligent humor. I was like, man, she's really doing a great job of impressing me. We get to dinner, have a good dinner. Everything was great. you know thoughtful conversations connected mentally and i'm really disappointed that i have not heard from her i i feel like i've been totally ghosted and i was not expecting that

00:03:27 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 5:

okay here's what we're gonna do we're gonna call her um and then we'll we're gonna try to figure some stuff out maybe she's been busy who knows our ultimate goal is to get you a second date so can you hang on the line yes i will all right but we'll be right back second date update star 1013 More variety from the 2000s, the 90s, and today. It's Star 101.3. It's Marcus and Corey. We're doing second date update. We've been chatting with Garrett on the phone. I like the sound of your date, Garrett. Are you still there?

00:03:55 - 00:03:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm here.

00:03:55 - 00:04:06 | Speaker 5:

So her name was Olive. You guys went to a museum and dinner, and the conversation was good? More than that. It was very stimulating.

00:04:06 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 7:

Very connected.

00:04:08 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 5:

She's ghosted, Corey.

00:04:09 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 7:

And that's why we're here. And I don't like it. No.

00:04:11 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 5:

Don't like it. We've got to figure it out. I'll tell you what, dude. Do me a favor and mute your phone, and let's call her. You got it. Do that so she won't be able to hear you, but we'll have you on the line. Here we go.

00:04:33 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 7:

Hello? Hi, Mays speak with Olive, please. This is Olive. Hi, Olive. It's Marcus and Corey from Star 101.3. Hey, Olive. hello hello sorry guys i don't really listen to the radio so oh okay nice to hear you great i'm more of like a podcast person but we have those two we have those two download the free i heart

00:04:54 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

radio app look for marcus and cory that's what the only plug i'm gonna do hey that's not why

00:04:59 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 7:

we're calling though no

00:05:00 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 3:

So, would you mind being on the radio with us? We want to talk to you. Okay, great. So, we understand you've been on a date recently. Yes. And the gentleman would like to take you out again, but he's feeling ghosted. But he thought you guys had a real, I would call it a cerebral connection.

00:05:20 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:05:20 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 3:

So, what can you tell us about your date with Garrett?

00:05:28 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so you're calling about Garrett. yes um okay um i'm actually i'm pretty shocked that he would actually want to go out again why is that um well he is very um let's say his behavior is off-putting oh um what do you do yeah well everything was pretty well at the beginning you know we went to a museum we had a wonderful time and i love that place anyway so i could spend hours there um and then we went to dinner and that's where things kind of went downhill i guess you could say um garrett is like he was getting really personal about things and you know i consider myself to be in good shape i mean like i eat well i work out but i also like to splurge every once in a while so let me say he said

00:06:27 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 3:

something let me just let you tell the stray i apologize yeah so this is what happened i ordered

00:06:35 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 4:

pasta and i got this cream sauce and it was fantastic obviously i love italian so whenever i said at the end i wanted to order the creme brulee he just paused and looked at me and he very seriously like he literally asked me do you know how many calories and sugar in that no and I kind of just looked at him yeah and then he said yeah wait there's more he said you know you just had that heavy pasta dish and so I was like really offended I would feel food shamed yes exactly like this is a first date and I think like if I want to order that that's none of his business he shouldn't have said that okay okay so in all honesty

00:07:25 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 2:

Garrett's on the phone with us because he wanted to know what happened yeah Garrett are you there

00:07:31 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 3:

yeah I'm here dude what was why would you say that is this legit

00:07:36 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 1:

gosh I am listening to you guys have this conversation and and to be honest with you I'm a little shocked. Like, I didn't think I did anything wrong in that instance. I don't know why the level of drama, quote unquote, seems so high on something like this. You know, like all of this beautiful woman and beautiful women take care of themselves. She takes care of herself. I'm just commenting, like, you know, when people do certain things, that changes. Like, if you eat bad, it changes. So I was just mentioning, like, hey, sugar's really bad for you. This has a lot of sugar, plus this heavy pasta sauce. I was just asking, like, are you aware of how bad this is for your body?

00:08:26 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but, Garrett, if a lady wants to splurge, let her splurge. I would cry.

00:08:30 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 1:

I mean, the way you guys are talking about it, it sounds like a bad call. But it's to me, it's like I know this sounds dramatic, but like, you know, somebody is on crack and you're like, hey, your teeth are going to fall out eventually. I know it feels good now, but it's not good for you, buddy. That got aggressive.

00:08:45 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 2:

That did.

00:08:46 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 4:

Seriously. And honestly, Garrett, like I don't need your help or advice. Like maybe you should look in the mirror because you aren't perfect and you should not be saying that to people.

00:08:57 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 1:

I have minimal fat deposits around my midsection.

00:09:02 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 3:

Congratulations.

00:09:03 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 2:

I'm so sad right now because I like a creamy pasta dish.

00:09:09 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 1:

Hey, creme brulee is crack is what I'm saying.

00:09:12 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 2:

I like creme brulee too.

00:09:14 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 3:

All right. Hang on, you guys. Hang on. Olive, are you still there?

00:09:18 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:09:19 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 3:

That guy's a tool.

00:09:20 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry.

00:09:21 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 3:

I'm sorry to bother you. Yeah, I'm calling no second date.

00:09:26 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 2:

No.

00:09:26 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 3:

I'm sure that's okay with you.

00:09:28 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 2:

Let's go have some pasta, Olive.

00:09:30 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 4:

That is fine with me. I just think he is just incredibly rude. Yeah. And yes, we can go have some pasta.

00:09:38 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 3:

All right, hang on. Wow, that guy was clueless.

00:09:42 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 2:

Inaggressive.

00:09:43 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

I'll give him half of the benefit of the doubt right there, but boy. Okay. Second date update, 7.05 weekday mornings, replays at 9.05, of course, and it's got a podcast too. Every single one of them are up on the iHeartRadio app. Go look for Marcus and Corey. Do a deep.
