Variety from the 2000s, the 90s. And today it's Star 101.3. It's Marcus and Corey time once again for second date update. Trying to score people's second dates when that first date goes completely sideways.

00:00:26 - 00:00:39 | Speaker 3:

Right. So you went on the date. You thought it was great. I didn't mean to rhyme. There's no time, but then you find out that they don't want to hang out with you anymore, or you don't even hear from them. They might ghost you. So we try to figure out what happened and talk to them.

00:00:39 - 00:00:51 | Speaker 5:

Gary's on the phone. Gary, good morning. Good morning, guys. Hey, man. So, date with somebody named Susan, who you met on Match. Tell us about the first date, and then tell us what's happened since, and we'll go from there, okay?

00:00:51 - 00:01:32 | Speaker 4:

So, we kind of took a week to feel each other out online just to see what we like, and I got good vibes from it. You know, we both love dogs. we both love like old movies we love the warriors yeah yeah i haven't been anybody who loved the warriors and i'm like yeah so yeah we talked for about a week and we met up finally at santana row we had pizza it was casual and cool and as far as i'm concerned i enjoyed myself i thought it was a great night after that though about two weeks three weeks a month now i've heard nothing from her i've tried texting her i've tried sending her dog pictures and i've heard nothing i'll

00:01:32 - 00:01:40 | Speaker 3:

never understand that what's that i just feel like if you're not into somebody why don't you just respond back and go you know i'm sorry i don't think it's gonna work out just to give

00:01:40 - 00:02:22 | Speaker 5:

somebody why but why exactly i i don't know that's why that's what i want to know why they don't yeah everybody wants to know why you would want to know why maybe i don't want to know i would love to So, yeah. Clearly it's a sign, Gary, and clearly you screwed it up somewhere. No, I'm kidding. Wow. I'm just kidding. I'm a Gary. All right. Let's figure it out. We're going to play a song. Let's regroup. Mute your phone, and we will call Susan, see if we can score you a second date, okay? All right, dude. Hang on one sec. More variety from the 2000s, the 90s, and today it's Star 101.3. It's Marcus and Corey. We're doing second date update. Gary's been holding. He was telling us about his date with Susan Pizza in Santana Row. And, Gary, did I get this right? It's been a month?

00:02:22 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 4:

I stopped counting at, like, three weeks.

00:02:24 - 00:02:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh, boy. Wow, okay. All right. Let's get her on the phone and see what's up. Mute your phone out, and we're going to call her right now, okay?

00:02:31 - 00:02:31 | Speaker 4:

Okay, thanks, guys.

00:02:31 - 00:02:32 | Speaker 5:

All right, here we go.

00:02:38 - 00:02:45 | Speaker 3:

Hello? Hi, may I speak with Susan, please? Yeah, this is Susan. Hi, Susan, this is Corian Marcus from Star 101.3.

00:02:45 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Susan.

00:02:46 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wow.

00:02:48 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 5:

How are you?

00:02:48 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 3:

Okay. I'm good. Are you familiar with Second Date Update? No, I don't know Second Date Update.

00:02:55 - 00:03:01 | Speaker 5:

So a guy named Gary called about you. What do you know about Gary and your date in Pizza, Santana Road?

00:03:01 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my goodness. So tell us from your perspective how the date went.

00:03:04 - 00:04:10 | Speaker 2:

Well, it started off good. I mean, we had a lot of things in common. We met on match, and we were talking for, like, maybe about a week before we went out. You know, he was cool at first, but then when we went out, I just, you know, casually suggested drinks before food. Sure. And his reaction was just, like, threw me all the way off. He basically made this big announcement, like, oh, no, no, no, no, I don't drink anymore. And basically, you know how bad that is for you? And so I was like, oh, okay, cool, like, brush it off. You know, I have friends who don't drink a client, but he would not like, he wouldn't let it go. He just kept, he just kept going. He's like, yeah, you really shouldn't drink alcohol. Like it's really bad for you. It's bad for your blood pressure, for your digestive system. He's like, you know, I'm so proud of how healthy I am now that I don't drink. And he even told me that he was going to live longer than me. So I just felt like it was a bit too much. Like, dude, I just want to have a beer with me.

00:04:11 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 5:

Right. So Gary's on the phone right now, listening, and hopefully learning. Gary. Hello.

00:04:17 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 3:

It's like a vegetarian, Gary. I mean, are you going to school somebody because they don't eat the same food as you?

00:04:22 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 4:

I mean, when it comes to drinking, I wasn't exactly flying through my teeth, you know what I mean? It's not healthy to drink all the time.

00:04:29 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 5:

So now she drinks all the time? Susan, do you drink all the time?

00:04:32 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 2:

I don't drink all the time. I mean, I drink, you know, at dinner, you know, when I'm going out, especially, you know in situation where you know the nerves might be a little bit sure first date not like i'm trying to have five shots on long island or something like the first date i'm just casually drinking a beer it's not a big deal actually a glass of red wine is good for you so i don't i don't know it's nothing personal I am.

00:05:00 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 3:

understand like you like having the fun you like having a good time my friend like enjoyed having a good time too always had the casual drink also drank the red wine he's now got liver issues and he's dealing with that right now so Gary went dark yeah so I'm just like I'm more so thinking hey maybe not as much so that way you're not dealing with the issues in the future you know Gary I

00:05:24 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 4:

think it's totally cool if you want to share information with someone and say hey you know This might not be good for you, but on a first date, it sounds like you're being real preachy.

00:05:32 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 3:

I mean, maybe, but I also know what I want in a relationship, so... Maybe this ain't it. Maybe it's not worth a second date.

00:05:39 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 4:

Maybe we need to find, like, a non-drinker's dating website. Yeah. I'm sure Jason has it. Lovesober.com. Soberlove.com.

00:05:46 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 3:

No, I mean, if that's fair, I mean, at least I know the reason now. That's true. So, what are we doing? Are we calling this off, Gary? I mean, you called us. I mean, the whole reason I called was to see what was up because I've heard nothing from this girl. I thought we had a great time. But if this is how she feels, then, yeah, I don't want to pursue something that there's nothing there. All right. Hang on. Glad that's over.

00:06:09 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 4:
