Thank you. Thanks for calling. Let's roll with, why don't you tell us about how you and Amy met. What was her name? Amy. And then tell us about the first date.

So, you know, per usual, we met on a dating app. Right. Hinge, specifically. You know, she really stood out on there. I've been on the dating apps, a lot of them, for a while. And, yeah, she stood out. You know, she seemed, like, really smart, funny, down to earth. So I messaged her, and we messaged each other back and forth. You know, really hit it off. I felt like we had a lot in common. And then so we decided to meet up. Both love movies. We could talk about them for hours. So, you know, we decided to go meet up for lunch in South Salido. and uh you know we also love the water so we thought that would be a good spot sure and um yeah i don't know i i felt like everything went like really well like it was like a smooth day like we laughed we talked about movies i guess i i like i thought a second date would just be like a no-brainer like i really thought we had a great time and uh but now of course you know i'm on the show so i can't get a hold of her i have no idea what's going on huh and you can't think of anything

that might have, like, you pushed her in the water or something? You said she liked the water.

No, I didn't push anybody in the water. But, you know, we're on dates. We're nervous. We say stuff. I don't know if I said something that, like, totally threw her off. Or, you know, and I'm just thinking, like, oh, this is just a normal conversation.

He's probably been back engineering his date for the last week. Totally. Let's help him out. So she's completely disappeared, huh?

Yeah, like, I sent her, you know, I'm trying not to be too insane, But, like, you know, I even left her a voicemail. Like, I never leave voicemails just in case, you know. I sent her a couple text messages, and, yeah, I just got nothing.

So we want to ask you about your date with Greg. Okay. He dug you a lot. He thought you were cool. He'd love to take you out again. He said he's left texting, even a voicemail, and he's feeling ghosted.

What happened?

Yeah. What did he do?

Yeah, no. Greg was great. He was really charming and fun. We had a great date. Um, it was just like, I feel like he, at one point he said something really kind of weird and unsettling. And from that moment on, I wasn't, I wasn't sure about what he say. Yeah. So like we had, we had just finished lunch. I don't know what Greg told you so far, but we had just finished lunch and, um, we were, we were going to order dessert or we were thinking about dessert and then, and we were talking about like movies and stuff and whatever. But then out of nowhere, Greg goes, did you know, statistically speaking, that your significant other is the most likely person to murder you? Like, like out of nowhere, like apropos of nothing. Yeah. And he's not wrong now.

Like, oh, my God, that's actually true. Here we go.

OK, that may be that might be true. But like, who says that, especially on a first date?

Tell me you watch Dateline without telling me you watch Dateline, Corey.

It's true. I was just kind of like creeped out, to be honest. Right. And just like powered through until I could leave. I get it. That is kind of a weird thing to just blurt out.

So Amy, Greg is on the phone. Greg. Greg. Greg, are you serious? Yeah. Greg. You can see how that might be weird, Greg.

Yeah. I just want to say like, Amy, well, first of all, like I had a great time with you. um i really really enjoyed your company and i was honestly just nervous i was just trying to keep the conversation going like i love true crime and like you know i wasn't trying to freak you out it just kind of like popped in my head like we were kind of talking about a movie about a serial killer from what i remember and like that's why it kind of came out like i felt like it was in line with our conversation i wasn't trying to you know just bring up this like random fact you know Obviously, I was trying to stay within the context of what we were talking about. It's really unfortunate. I'm really sorry. Yeah.

It's really unfortunate that Corey's already taken by me being honest.

Yeah, nervous. I promise you I'm not a creep. Totally normal person. I do love true crime, obviously. We both do.

I did, and I did. Yeah. Okay. So can we get a second date? I feel like now that I am remembering the context in which you said that, it makes a lot more sense. So, yeah, I would say yes to a second date as long as we're in a public place.
