00:01:47 - 00:02:02 | Speaker 6:

hi jane are you being arrested hi are you being arrested as we speak are the cops coming oh yeah you caught me well yeah um tell us about connor how like how did you how did you guys meet

00:02:02 - 00:02:27 | Speaker 2:

first of all yeah so i met connor on hinge and you know he was really cute so i was like yeah let's meet up um you know i honestly really liked how authentic he was and i think a lot of guys posture and flex but you know he wasn't that type of dude and i was like okay let's go on a date so We both like stand-up comedy, so we went on a date at a comedy club, and it was really fun. We both love to laugh. We love jokes.

00:02:27 - 00:02:27 | Speaker 5:

Sure.

00:02:28 - 00:02:34 | Speaker 2:

And there was a guy who, you know, the comedian who roasted him, and I thought it was really cute how he handled it.

00:02:35 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 6:

Wait, he roasted Connor at the show?

00:02:37 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 2:

The comedian? Yeah, the comedian pointed him out and was making jokes about him. Oh, God. Like, you know, how did you get her, that kind of thing. Kind of like playing, you know, putting him down, kind of. And everyone was laughing and having a great time, and he was such a good sport about it. Okay. And I thought the date went really well, but the thing is, he never called me back after, so I'm like, I don't know why he's ghosting me.

00:02:59 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 6:

That would have been my wife's worst nightmare. Well, it's ghosting you or her? No, when we did the comedy show in Half Moon Bay, she could sense the comedian was zeroing in on her, so she got up and went to the bathroom. She was like, no way, lady, no how.

00:03:14 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 7:

I love it.

00:03:15 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 6:

Bring it on. Here's my theory. Do you want my theory? So hold on, before you get into your theory. So Jane, so it was a good time, though.

00:03:23 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was really good. Like, it was a great crowd. You know, everyone, it's like there were people that were like, I'm not going to laugh. Like, we're all laughing. Right, right, right, sure. You know, and afterwards, we like, you know, held hands, walked home, the whole shebang. So I don't know. And he's gone.

00:03:37 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 6:

Okay. Yeah. Well, Corey does a daily theory. So let's hear it, Corey. What happened to Connor?

00:03:42 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 7:

Maybe after the date, he went back to the club to confront the comedian.

00:03:49 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 6:

Great.

00:03:50 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 7:

Not realizing that the comic had a black belt and he's still unconscious.

00:03:54 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 6:

And what was his discipline? What? What was the black belt's discipline? Are we talking, is it a judo guy or karate guy?

00:04:01 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 7:

I don't know. Just go with black belt. Don't ask me questions.

00:04:07 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 6:

There's no follow-up questions to the theory. This sounds violent. Let's hope for the best. fine he's just not conscious Jane we're gonna we're gonna call Connor and see if we can figure out what happened you know how we do this so we'll have you on the line obviously and we'll ask him a few questions okay

00:04:22 - 00:04:24 | Speaker 2:

okay thank you ultimately

00:04:24 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

love to get you a second date but let's see what happens hang on the line we'll be back with it it's second date update star 1013 more variety from the 2000s the 90s and today it's star 1013 it's Marcus and Corey we're doing second date update right now we've been chatting with Jane who seems very sweet she and Connor went to a comedy club for their first date i love that only clue that we have jane is that the comedian zeroed in on connor and started roasting him but to your point it was all in fun yeah yeah okay well let's call him we're gonna call him and figure it out so go ahead and mute your phone

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 2:

And we'll be right with it. Hang on one sec here.

00:05:10 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 3:

Hello?

00:05:11 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 2:

Hi, may I speak with Connor, please?

00:05:13 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, speaking.

00:05:14 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Connor. It's Marcus and Corey from Star 1013. What's up, Connor? Oh, my God. No way. Hey. Way. I always speak to you guys all the time. Thanks, man. What's up? Oh, I love that.

00:05:26 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 3:

Well?

00:05:26 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 2:

Do you listen to Second Date Update?

00:05:27 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 3:

yes i do that's that's uh probably my favorite second excellent are you calling because i hang on i think i think i might know what this is uh what this is about are you calling about jane yes yes jane say hi jane hi connor hey hey jane

00:05:49 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 2:

Well, this is easy. Is it? So far. So, Connor, Jane really enjoyed your date and thought it was a lot of fun, but she's feeling like you ghosted and would love to go out again. Can we make this happen? Can we make some magic happen? Like, did you ghost?

00:06:10 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 3:

Listen, I genuinely didn't think she was really interested. I didn't think it was ghosting. I just, I didn't want to get rejected. So I kind of just sidled myself out of the situation and then stopped responding because I figured she didn't want a second date, honestly.

00:06:26 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 2:

What gave you that impression?

00:06:28 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 3:

We had a really good time when we went out. We ended up going to a comedy club, which I thought was more fun than just like coffee or dinner. Sure. And it was great. It was great. Most of the comedians were awesome, were hilarious. One of them was a little, I don't know. I didn't think he was that funny, honestly. It was just kind of like shock and mean humor. And kind of really put his sights on me and was kind of needling me a little bit. And I was laughing along, but just really wouldn't let up. And especially about me being with her. You know, he kept making comments like, oh, what are you doing with this guy? You know, you're way out of his league. And it wasn't funny. He was just kind of mean-spirited. And she was just kind of yucking it up. It was kind of like he kind of agreed with him. And I was laughing along, but it was kind of hurtful. And then, you know, it just kept going on like, hey, are you broke? You're taking her to this half-rate comedy show? What do you do? And, you know, I told him I work in finance and he was pretending to fall asleep on stage and saying I was, you know, boring and basically looked at her and said, you know, this isn't going to last. You can do better. You don't belong with him. And she was, you know, kind of nodding along and laughing. And frankly, I thought, you know, maybe he was hitting on her. I was surprised she even left the club with me.

00:07:47 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 2:

So the comic was rough, then, is what you're saying.

00:07:50 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and she seemed to, you know, kind of go along with it. So I figured she wasn't that interested.

00:07:57 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 1:

Okay, Jane, now that we have full transparency. Yeah, so honestly, Connor, I think you handled it really well. Like, you know, it's a comedy show, so we all know this is not real. Like, these are all jokes, right? And it's just part of their act. Like, I'm pretty sure the comedian's, like, totally normal. This is their job, right? And honestly, like, and laugh because it's not true. You know, like, obviously, it's such an exaggeration that that's not who you really are. So, yeah, I mean, if you want, I'd love to see you again, honestly.

00:08:29 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 2:

How about no comedy club this time? Ooh. How about?

00:08:33 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, maybe we should skip the comedy club.

00:08:37 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 2:

That way, Connor doesn't have to cry on the inside anymore.

00:08:39 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 1:

Aw, why'd you do that?

00:08:42 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 2:

That was mean. No, I'm sorry. You turd, you're as bad as the comedian. Hold on, no, we're making this happen. Stop. Don't ruin the vibe. Don't ruin the shine. Connor, so can we get a second date going here?

00:08:56 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 3:

You know, Jane's being so sweet, and I'm embarrassed to kind of admit, I guess, how insecure I was, and the fact that she still wants to see me again, I just, you know. It's okay.

00:09:06 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 2:

Nobody could tell. I love. You're a champ.

00:09:10 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 3:

I'd love to see you again.
