More variety from the 2000s, the 90s, and today. It's STAR 101.3. It's Marcus and Corey. Second date update. Once again, trying to bring people together through misunderstandings.

00:01:40 - 00:01:46 | Speaker 5:

We try. You know, you never know. Something weird might have happened. Somebody lost their phone, dropped it in the turlet. We're going to try and get you a second date.

00:01:46 - 00:02:01 | Speaker 4:

The turlet. it jeff's on the phone jeff good morning hey good morning dude so run us through your date with nina and then well first of all tell us how you met let's start there oh well we met at a barbecue

00:02:01 - 00:02:15 | Speaker 8:

and uh you know that was nice we exchanged numbers you know that and uh you know we ended up doing a first date over a giants game and uh i thought it was fun you know i didn't i didn't see any problems so i just wanted to see if we could get a second date out of this you know okay so what's

00:02:15 - 00:02:17 | Speaker 4:

transpired since the date?

00:02:18 - 00:02:33 | Speaker 8:

Well, since then, you know, she hasn't called as much or been slow to respond to texts and stuff, so I'm kind of feeling like she's not really that into, you know, the situation or me or what have you, so I'm just kind of curious of what's going on, you know. But it was cool before. Yeah, I thought so. Alright. Huh.

00:02:33 - 00:02:43 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so you know how this works. We've got her number. You're gonna mute your phone and we'll call her and see if we can get her side of things. Okay, that'd be great. Alright.

00:02:44 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 4:

Let's play a song. We'll reset. We'll do it next. It's a second date update. Star 101.3. More variety from the 2000s, the 90s. And today it's the Star 101.3. It's Marcus and Corey. We've been talking to Jeff about his date with Nina.

00:02:56 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 5:

Went to a Giants game.

00:02:57 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, which we just did with our significant others.

00:02:59 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 5:

If I'm not wrong, did they lose, Jeff?

00:03:02 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 4:

They did lose. Oh, dude, they got creamed all four games. Yeah. It was the Dodgers series. Those were the dark times.

00:03:09 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 7:

Oh, man, I heard.

00:03:11 - 00:03:19 | Speaker 4:

All right. So went on a date. Seems like a good time. Met at a barbecue, which is always good because you're like instantly vetted in person and not potentially being catfished online.

00:03:19 - 00:03:28 | Speaker 5:

Well, and also a baseball game is great because you can still talk to each other. It's not like you go to a movie and you got to be quiet. At least at a Giants game, you can chat.

00:03:28 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 4:

You don't have to because you could stuff your face.

00:03:31 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 5:

That's what we did.

00:03:33 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 4:

Okay, Jeff, mute your phone. We're going to call Nina and see what's up, okay?

00:03:37 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 8:

Okay.

00:03:38 - 00:03:38 | Speaker 4:

All right, here we go.

00:03:42 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 5:

hello hi may i speak with nina please uh this is nina hi nina it's marcus and cory from star 1013 good morning um good morning we're a radio station we do a little morning show

00:04:01 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 6:

monday through friday obviously a gigantic fan uh okay yeah well admittedly no

00:04:07 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 5:

sounds like somebody's way too into their podcasts

00:04:11 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 4:

hey we have those two uh listen we want to ask you about we do a segment called second date update and we're interested on your vibe on a date you just went on with a guy named jeff uh he'd really like to take you out again and he's feeling ghosted if i'm being honest so i just want to

00:04:30 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 5:

see where your head was at um this is a safe space okay this is kind of weird sure um

00:04:37 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 6:

Well, you probably know we met at a barbecue, and, I mean, he was great. Like, we really hit it off and made plans to go out. And I don't know if he told you he took me to a Giants-Dodgers game.

00:04:50 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:04:51 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 6:

And I'm going to tell you, at the game, it got kind of weird.

00:04:55 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 4:

How so?

00:04:56 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, what'd he do? Um.

00:05:00 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 5:

Well, he just got super aggro at the game. Like, yeah, got a couple beers in him, and then he just, I guess, mixing that with the Giants once they started losing, it just like a switch went off. Like, he looked like heckle at the Dodgers, which, again, that's fine. You know, Dodgers-Giants, I get it. But we were sitting, actually, behind a couple of Dodgers fans, and they kind of started talking to giving each other crap, you know, innocently enough. But then once they started losing more and more, he just started getting really angry, and they started, like, I honestly thought they were going to get into a fight. And then he started booing at the Giants players. Ooh.

00:05:40 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 6:

You know, they did that at our game when we went the other day. Their own fans started booing, and I think that is so mean.

00:05:46 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 3:

It made Corey really uncomfortable.

00:05:48 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 6:

I know.

00:05:49 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 5:

It made me really uncomfortable because it's like, that's your team, and you're booing them because they're not playing the way you want them to play. It was a huge turnoff for me. It was like, he seemed like a cool guy, but then he got a couple beers in him, and he got all macho, sports-y, which, again, I love sports.

00:06:04 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 6:

And also, I don't like when people engage someone else in a fight. No. You know what, Nina, we're going to be honest with you. Jeff's actually on the phone. Jeff, are you hearing this?

00:06:13 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 3:

Sorry.

00:06:15 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 4:

Jeff? Hey. I'm kind of in shock here, you know, because it's like I've been a fan since I was a kid, and, you know, I feel like it's okay to get loud, you know? I mean, I'm passionate about them, and then... We're all having a good time. I don't get it.

00:06:29 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 5:

It's okay to get loud and be passionate, but when you are getting in a fight with people in front of you and you're starting yelling at players, it just makes me uncomfortable. It's a game. It's supposed to be fun, and it just took the fun out of it completely.

00:06:40 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 4:

Well, I don't know. I mean, I think that's all part of the game. We paid good money for these seats, and we want to let the team know the feedback. Like, hey, you guys suck, or whatever. You're not doing it right.

00:06:51 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Well, clearly, I made the right choice not going out with you again because you don't even see anything wrong with it. You're not like, oh, you know what? I can see I might have gotten a little aggressive. But no, you're just doubling down on it. So that makes it crystal clear to me that you are someone I do not need to go out with again.

00:07:10 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 4:

Sad, Nina. It's just how it is these days. Women, I don't know.

00:07:13 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 5:

Oh, it's a women problem. Oh, I see. Oh, wow. And I'm out. Got it. Cool. Good luck with finding someone.

00:07:21 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 6:

Hang on, hang on. Wow. What is wrong with people this week? Everybody? I mean, this guy, the guy yesterday.
