More variety from the 2000s, the 90s, and today it's Star 101.3. It's Marcus and Corey, and it's back, y'all. Second date update. Let's do this.

00:00:08 - 00:00:17 | Speaker 4:

We do our best to figure out what went down on your first date. Right. It didn't lead to a second date, or you're just being ghosted. We want to know what happened.

00:00:17 - 00:00:20 | Speaker 1:

Exactly. All that. Let's bring on Jessie. Hi, Jessie.

00:00:22 - 00:00:23 | Speaker 3:

Hey, how are you?

00:00:23 - 00:00:28 | Speaker 1:

Good. How are you? What's going on? Well, I guess I know. Sorry.

00:00:30 - 00:00:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I mean, I met this guy, Matt, on Hinge, and I guess I'll just talk about him.

00:00:35 - 00:00:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, please.

00:00:36 - 00:01:03 | Speaker 3:

He had a great personality, and I really enjoyed getting to know him. And we decided to go to Chinatown for lunch because he likes all kinds of food. I also love all kinds of types of food, and we both work in the city. So we just decided to meet there, and I thought it was really, like, awesome. And, you know, some dates are awkward, but it wasn't awkward at all. So I thought, yeah, a second date was a sure thing. And then he ghosted me.

00:01:04 - 00:01:15 | Speaker 4:

You know, it's funny you say it wasn't awkward because I always tell my single friends, one of the things that stood out to me about my first date with my husband was that it was so easy. There was no games. We were just ourselves.

00:01:15 - 00:01:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and that's kind of how I felt about the date. It was easy.

00:01:20 - 00:01:22 | Speaker 4:

What were those things they had in Chinatown, those underground?

00:01:23 - 00:01:23 | Speaker 1:

What?

00:01:24 - 00:01:27 | Speaker 4:

Were there like underground prisoners?

00:01:27 - 00:01:27 | Speaker 1:

Tunnels?

00:01:28 - 00:01:46 | Speaker 4:

I thought there was like this weird history to Chinatown where there's underground jails or they would kidnap people. I think you're thinking of Pioneer Square in Seattle, but I'm going to... Oh, maybe I am. I've lived in a lot of different places. Well, I was thinking maybe if he got kidnapped, that's why he hasn't called you.

00:01:46 - 00:01:56 | Speaker 1:

Jesse, Corey's had a lot of jobs. I've lived in a lot of places. That was amazing

00:01:56 - 00:01:58 | Speaker 4:

Totally got confused

00:01:58 - 00:02:02 | Speaker 1:

I'll tell you what We're going to go ahead and dig him up for you

00:02:02 - 00:02:04 | Speaker 4:

I don't know if I'd use that term

00:02:04 - 00:02:32 | Speaker 1:

So we're going to call him We're going to figure out what he thought of the date We'll have you on the line If you mute he won't be able to hear you But we'll be able to hear what he thought of the date Can you hang on the line for a song? Alright, second date update, star 1013 More variety from the 2000s, the 90s And today, it's Star 101.3. It's Marcus and Corey. We're doing second date update. We've been chatting with Jessie. She met Matt on Hinge. And Jessie, you said it just wasn't awkward at all. Is that accurate?

00:02:33 - 00:02:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, no, it wasn't awkward. It was lovely.

00:02:35 - 00:02:38 | Speaker 4:

Okay, I did a deep dive. There are tunnels under Chinatown.

00:02:38 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I stand corrected.

00:02:41 - 00:02:43 | Speaker 4:

I think they've been filled in.

00:02:44 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 1:

Somebody is slightly upset. Can we get back to Jessie and her issues, please?

00:02:49 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 4:

I don't want to give out misinformation.

00:02:53 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 1:

That was a rabbit hole in real time. Yeah. Okay, Jesse, here's what we're going to do. Take a deep breath. We'll have you mute your phone, and let's call Matt and figure out why he ghosted. Here we go.

00:03:12 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 4:

Hello? Hi, may I speak with Matt, please? Yeah, this is Matt. Hi, Matt. It's Marcus and Corey from Star 101.3.

00:03:21 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 2:

Matt. Oh, hey, what's up? What's up, homeboy?

00:03:26 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 4:

Do you listen to our show?

00:03:27 - 00:03:28 | Speaker 2:

I listen to your show. Excellent.

00:03:29 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 4:

Do you know what second date update is?

00:03:31 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 2:

Of course.

00:03:33 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 4:

Would you mind me hanging on it with us?

00:03:38 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow. Sure. Yeah. Why not?

00:03:42 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 1:

Have you been on a date recently? I don't even know what I'm doing right now.

00:03:46 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 2:

I have. I have been on a date.

00:03:49 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 1:

I mean, shall we?

00:03:50 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because who knows?

00:03:52 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 1:

Jesse, he listens. Are you there?

00:03:57 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 3:

Yep, I'm here.

00:03:58 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Hey, Matt. Hey, Jesse. So, Matt. Hi. Jesse was telling us that you had a pretty solid date eating your way through Chinatown and that she's feeling ghosted. And I'm not suggesting that you ghosted, but we're curious about how the date went for you and whether or not maybe we could get a second date.

00:04:19 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, I'll say, like, I really enjoyed getting to know Jessie. She's really sweet, and we laughed a lot. She has a really good sense of humor. She's right there. I appreciated that she was. She's listening. Yeah, yeah, so I guess I'll speak to everyone then. Or to, yeah, to Jessie. I really liked how you were adventurous.

00:04:49 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, man?

00:04:51 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 2:

I guess the one thing, like, we met up, and I was sort of surprised at how she looked, like she was wearing a really... big like oversized hoodie and checkered pants and really beat up sneakers and i could tell that she hadn't washed her hair in a while wow whoa what wow why does that wait why doesn't my

00:05:15 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 3:

outfit matter i thought we were just meeting for like a casual lunch it wasn't like we're going to a fancy steakhouse or something so wait had you washed your hair in a while or not uh i mean i mean i wash my hair it's not like i don't wash my hair but i don't know if i washed it for the date okay so maybe it was just that day i mean matt are you willing yeah i mean

00:05:41 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 2:

well so that was my first thought too is like i was willing to just sort of forget it but then i sort of did a deep dive on her social media and like basically every single picture had that same exact outfit and that's the thing like if that's her vibe that is totally fine like i don't want to shame that vibe it's just not my thing you know like i i personally really like to look nice and I care about sort of looking put together um so I guess it's just like a taste

00:06:19 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 3:

difference there I do not wear the same outfit it's not the same outfit in all my Instagram photos they're different outfits they work in tech like everybody dresses like this it's not a big deal

00:06:30 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 2:

yeah maybe not like the exact same oversized hoodie but still like hoodie pants like really sort of like beat up shoes and dirty hair is how you know what you don't need to man to me how a

00:06:45 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 3:

woman should dress on a date i felt comfortable wearing that and i feel good about it totally

00:06:51 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 2:

yeah i totally don't want to man sign i'm just sort of explaining that that's not my my cup of

00:06:56 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 3:

tea so you know what never mind about the second date i didn't realize that you were such a

00:07:03 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Oh. All right.

00:07:06 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 3:

I get it. You know, some people like to go all out, and some people keep it more cash.

00:07:11 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 1:

You guys not imagine? Hang on. I mean, I've got to be honest. I feel like you've got to come correct. I do. You know?

00:07:20 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 3:

Well, first impressions last.

00:07:22 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 1:

At least wash your hair.

00:07:24 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 3:

Aww.

00:07:24 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 1:
