Mark is an animal lover, and he's thinks it's great that Ingrid is too! They met up in Oakland and had a great time... at least, Mark thought so. He's confused that Ingrid has disappeared on him. We'll call her up and get to the bottom of this. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

As you know, if you go on a date with somebody and then maybe you try to contact them afterwards and they don't get back to you, we will try to call them to see what is going on.

00:01:20 - 00:01:22 | Speaker 4:

Everybody say good morning to Mark. Hey, guys.

00:01:23 - 00:01:30 | Speaker 3:

Hey. All right, Mark, we got your note about Ingrid. So I guess just take us from the beginning. Where'd you meet and where did you go on your date?

00:01:31 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so we met on Hinge. And so after a few weeks going back and forth, text or whatever that messenger thing is, we just decided to meet up for dinner in Oakland. And she showed up and I'm not kidding, guys. Her photos don't do her justice. She looks even better than the photos. it was amazing that was a nice surprise and uh you know the day was good um we uh i mean we just connected over pets um she has a dog and um we just bonded over a love of animals and um you know we're both working from home so it was really nice to just you know get out and about a little bit uh so yeah oh yeah so we were having dinner at this it was like a gastropub it has the best fries and really strong drinks and so you know like all in all it was just really really good i thought so the date ended with like a quick hug but i didn't really think anything of it and there was you know plenty of time for round two but since the date uh she's been really distant um she doesn't really text me back if at all and um i think things have cooled off okay have you tried

00:02:47 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 3:

Right. So did you text her or call her?

00:02:49 - 00:03:00 | Speaker 5:

I just texted, but she doesn't really engage in conversations. I can try to talk about her dog. Right. But, you know, I get nothing.

00:03:01 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 4:

Well, look, you know how this works. We'll have you on the line. I would suggest to mute your phone out because she will be able to hear you. We're going to basically just tap her in, call her, and see how the date went from her perspective. Maybe we can get some answers, okay?

00:03:14 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

00:03:15 - 00:03:28 | Speaker 4:

All right. Let's play a song. We'll regroup. We'll do it next. It's a second date update. Star 101.3. More variety from the 2000s, the 90s, and today. Star 101.3. It's Marcus and Sandy. We are doing a second date update right now.

00:03:28 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 3:

We've been talking to Mark about Ingrid. So you guys met on Hinge. You had a dinner in Oakland. Nice dinner. She looked great. You have a love of animals. You both have pets. You said the chemistry seemed really good. She's not really responding to your texts or giving you anything to work with. So we're going to give her a call right now. I know you know this segment, Mark, so try not to say anything, and we'll just ask her some questions, okay?

00:03:51 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 4:

All right. You got it. Sure. All right, y'all. Here we go.

00:04:02 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 3:

Hello? Good morning. Is this Ingrid? Yes, it is. May I ask who's calling? Sure. Ingrid, this is actually Marcus and Sandy. We are on a morning radio show on Star 101.3.

00:04:14 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Hi.

00:04:15 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 3:

Hi, guys. Hi. Have you heard our show before? Yes, I have. Well, that's good. Do you know our segment Second Date Update? Yes, I do.

00:04:28 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

00:04:29 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 3:

Uh-oh. Well, here we are, and here you are.

00:04:32 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 4:

So.

00:04:33 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 3:

Mark, do you want me to say hi?

00:04:35 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 4:

I was going to say, why beat around the bush? Hey, Mark. You still there? Yeah.

00:04:40 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 3:

Hey, guys. All right. So, Ingrid, Mark is calling about you, obviously, and we want to know how your date was.

00:04:47 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 4:

He's feeling like he got ghosted.

00:04:51 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

He's a very nice guy and very good looking, but he's kind of like a cat guy.

00:05:00 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 5:

and is that a bad way is that a bad thing well um no i love all animals but not when you're wearing them on your clothes do you have a shirt a cat shirt was just there was just cat hair all over him oh i'm sorry mark i just it was just all over him on his shirt on his pants it was just it was just gross you out it did because um it's one thing i have a pet too you know but um i and he has long you know but my my dog is a labradoodle and he's hyper allergenic so right it doesn't really shed um but you know there are lint rollers and when you do have pets that do shed and stuff like that it's always nice to have lint rollers so when you go out you at least get it off of your clothes you know um if it doesn't doesn't bother him or he didn't even think about lint rolling then what does his place look like and then how clean is he and so it just kind of those thoughts kind of go through my head because if i'm looking for a relationship i got to figure

00:06:13 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 1:

down the road okay you know i don't know what mark is thinking right now are you hearing this mark

00:06:19 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 3:

yeah i mean i'm kind of speechless right now because we i mean so what a cat's shed a little bit that's fine i mean uh i i don't really have an option i mean it's nice that your dog doesn't shed or whatever uh but you know i i love my cats and you know this is that's just the thing that's

00:06:35 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 5:

just going to happen like the cat's shed but mark remember we talked about this i'm allergic to dander and plants and stuff like that so that's why i have a you know a labradoodle so yes but there are ways to like deal with the excessive fur and you got to clean you just have to vacuum you have to clean there's no way i'm going to get it all off no i mean there's no it's just

00:06:58 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 3:

going to happen i don't know it's just gonna be part of it look mark i don't want to be the one

00:07:02 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 5:

cleaning up after you and that's kind of where i think this would go because you know i've had roommates before and i've had to deal with that even when they said no they would take care of their stuff and then they don't and then i'm winding up doing everything for them and it gets a little gross i just it gets to be too much for me and i don't i don't want to be someone's mommy and i don't want to clean up after someone i mean that's mark and at that point you guys mark

00:07:27 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 4:
