00:00:56 - 00:00:56 | Speaker 6:

I'm okay.

00:00:57 - 00:01:06 | Speaker 3:

Sandra, a longtime fan of the show, which we appreciate. Let's talk about your date with Brian. So let's start with like how y'all met and then what you guys did on your first date.

00:01:07 - 00:01:15 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, well, you know, we met on this message board and then we were chatting forever and like kind of geeking out about stuff.

00:01:15 - 00:01:24 | Speaker 3:

Wait, wait, wait, wait, a message board? People do message boards still? What year is it? What message board? Now I want to know what the topic was.

00:01:24 - 00:01:49 | Speaker 6:

If you want to find really good discussions about, like, UFOs and paranormal activity, you have to dig a little bit deeper. Nice. So I started chatting with Brian on this message board, and we were just, like, totally, you know, geeking out on this stuff. We started private messaging on the message board because we realized we both lived in San Jose.

00:01:49 - 00:01:50 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:01:50 - 00:02:36 | Speaker 6:

And yeah, and then we exchanged numbers and then we started texting and then having phone calls. And we were doing this for a few weeks and getting to know each other. And I really liked him. So then when he asked me out to dinner, I was really excited. We went to the sushi place in San Jose and I just felt an instant connection, you know, after weeks of chatting and connecting. Like and then when we met in person, it just felt so natural. and he's really good looking and we had a lot to talk about and we spent about three hours at this sushi place and then we had a nice hug afterwards and I thought the date went really well but I haven't heard from him since.

00:02:36 - 00:02:38 | Speaker 5:

Talk about a close encounter.

00:02:38 - 00:03:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh God, how long were you waiting to do that one? About 30 seconds. Woo! Okay, Sandra, here's what we're going to do. 00:03:56 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 4:

Hello?

00:03:57 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 5:

Hi, may I speak with Brian, please?

00:04:00 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 4:

This is him. Who is this?

00:04:01 - 00:04:04 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Brian, this is Marcus and Corey from Star 101.3.

00:04:06 - 00:04:06 | Speaker 3:

Good morning.

00:04:08 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 4:

What?

00:04:09 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:04:09 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 5:

It's a radio station. We do a morning show on a radio station, and do you have a minute to talk to us?

00:04:17 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 4:

Sure.

00:04:18 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 5:

I hate to bother you. We're doing something we call second date update, and that's where somebody goes on a first date, and they think it went really well, and then they don't hear from the other person again.

00:04:27 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 3:

So your date's feeling ghosted, Brian, and we just wanted to ask you about it. We're calling on behalf of Sandra. Sandra? Yes. You had sushi with Sandra. What can you tell us about the date?

00:04:39 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

okay um it was it was pretty cool we actually met you know we met like on a message board like talking about some different things oh we heard um yeah we went out and uh it it was pretty cool we went for a like uh we went for a sushi place and it was nice and uh the conversation was good in

00:05:00 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 6:

And she was really pretty and everything. And, yeah, things just kind of, oh.

00:05:06 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 7:

What?

00:05:06 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 6:

Things just kind of went wrong. I don't know. Like, we were having a great time and everything, but she just kept ordering, like, more food and more food and more food. And she just kept eating and ordering, like, multiple orders of rolls and noodles and sake. She was just drinking and eating and just nonstop. And, like, we were there for hours just because she honestly just kept eating, kept eating, and, like, not sharing any of the food that we had. And I was just, I don't know, it was kind of a turnoff for me. She was like a bottomless pit, kind of.

00:05:38 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

00:05:39 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 7:

That's kind of hot, actually. I would have slapped the ring on it right there.

00:05:44 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 6:

I don't think so. I mean, I just think that she was kind of rude. She was basically taking the food off the waiter's tray when he was bringing it and eating it before it even hit the table.

00:05:53 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 7:

So this was like a turnoff for you?

00:05:56 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 6:

A total turn off. I don't know.

00:05:58 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 7:

All right. Well, here's the thing. Okay, so Sandra's listening right now. Sandra? Hi. Apparently, you were double fisting the...

00:06:07 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 3:

Hey.

00:06:07 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 7:

Unagi.

00:06:08 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 5:

Be nice.

00:06:09 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 7:

Why do I have to keep saying that to you? Sorry.

00:06:12 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 3:

That's what you're supposed to be doing at a sushi place like that. Most guys that I go out with dig my appetite because most girls pretend like they don't eat anything, and I just want to be normal.

00:06:24 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 6:

I mean, that wasn't normal.

00:06:25 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 3:

You could have grabbed whatever you wanted and eaten whatever you wanted, too.

00:06:29 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 6:

You were eating it before it even hit the table. All right.

00:06:32 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 5:

I read a statistic that women who are big eaters are better in the sack.

00:06:38 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 7:

Is that right?

00:06:39 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 5:

Did you make that up? No, they're voracious eaters. They're voracious lovers. Okay. You're missing out, Brian. I never heard that. Where are we at, you guys? Someone who calls me a bottomless pit, I'm not going out with them again.

00:06:52 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 7:

Okay, did you just answer for Sandra?

00:06:53 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 5:

I did. I'm sorry, Sandra. I agree with your thoughts.

00:06:56 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 3:

I mean, honestly, it's apparent that Brian can't handle the real woman. I mean, I don't know what's such a turnoff by me, you know, eating a ton of hand rolls and everything like that at a sushi place that he picked. So, yeah, if you can't handle me, Brian, then I don't see any future with us either.

00:07:15 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 8:

Okay, hang on, hang on.

00:07:16 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 5:

You know, I went out with a guy once and we went for sushi and I said, hey, I'm going to get this roll and that roll. We can split them and share. And he said, I'm not a big eater. And I said, bye deal breaker. You don't know me, man.

00:07:30 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 8:

Anyway, Brian's out. So we'll, you know what? We'll try again tomorrow. Second date update. And it's got a podcast. Don't forget it's on the I heart radio app, which you can download for free and then just binge. Listen,
