it again y'all second date update let's go let's say you meet someone whether online in person you feel like you guys are meant to be you go on that first date and then they disappear

00:01:16 - 00:01:27 | Speaker 3:

we're here to figure out why say good morning to steve steve are you there i'm here steve i'm rereading your email i also feel like you met somebody who should click tell us about

00:01:27 - 00:01:57 | Speaker 4:

liz how did you guys meet and then how did the date go uh so we met online on a site called hinge okay we met and we went out for sushi and it was a what i assumed it was a great evening uh it felt as if it was a great evening and uh yeah we just shared our love for uh tv and i put her on game as far as some of the my favorite television shows go and yeah yeah yeah she's really you know dig it and i was digging what she was sharing with me some of her shows some of her favorite series

00:01:57 - 00:02:00 | Speaker 3:

It's my favorite thing to do is, like, TV show swap because I'm always looking for something.

00:02:01 - 00:02:06 | Speaker 5:

Well, and there's so many things to choose from that if somebody can give a recommendation, then it's easier to weed through.

00:02:07 - 00:02:13 | Speaker 4:

So what do you guys like, then? I'm really into the bear, and I've watched beef several times.

00:02:13 - 00:02:15 | Speaker 5:

Right, sure, okay. Love the bear.

00:02:15 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, the morning show with Jim Francis, Apple TV. Apple TV has some really great material and content on their streaming site. Actually, my favorite stream service is Apple TV. So how did the date end? Well, I hadn't heard from her. You know, it ended, you know, ever since that date, I hadn't heard from her. You know, we ended up going back to my place, and we didn't get intimate per se. There wasn't any kisses that were exchanged. It ended with us hugging one another, essentially. And, you know, and I thought that that would be an indication of us being able to experience a second date.

00:02:55 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 3:

That sounds great. Yeah, that's good. But nothing. She's gone. So what we're going to do, Steve, is we're going to call her. We're going to call her and see how the date went from her perspective. And hopefully from that, maybe we'll get a clue. And maybe we'll get you a second date. Can you hang on the line for a song? Yeah, right on. All right, let's jump into it. Second date update, Star 101.3. More variety from the 2000s, the 90s. And today it's Star 101.3. It's Marcus and Corey. We're doing second date update. We've been chatting with Steve about his date with Liz. They like to watch TV shows.

00:03:23 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 5:

Well, who doesn't?

00:03:25 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 3:

And swap their faves.

00:03:26 - 00:03:28 | Speaker 5:

Are you kidding me? The couch isn't going to sit on itself.

00:03:29 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 3:

Steve, are you there? I'm here. All right. We're ready to figure out why she ghosted you. So go ahead and go back on mute. Let's give her a call.

00:03:44 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 5:

Hello? Hi, may I speak with Liz, please? Yeah, this is me. Hi, Liz. It's Marcus and Corey from Star 101.3.

00:03:52 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 3:

Good morning.

00:03:53 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 5:

Good morning.

00:03:55 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 3:

Do you listen to our show? We do a morning show, like a radio show.

00:03:59 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 5:

I've never heard of you. Well, we're amazing.

00:04:02 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 3:

Amazing.

00:04:03 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 5:

And you should listen. It's going to change your life.

00:04:05 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 3:

And very humble, obviously. Hey, do you have a second to be on the air with us? Would you be comfortable talking to us? Sure. So we do a segment called Second Date Update, and we would love to ask you about a date you've been on if you have a minute to give us a rundown of your date with steve oh my god so before you okay before you start he would love to take you out again he thought you were awesome and he's feeling ghosted so where are we on this that guy was so boring oh what um what happened he told us that like you guys you both watch a lot of tv and then you swap shows and whatever else that you bonded over that so i'm wondering what went sideways like sure like we talked about

00:04:57 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

a few shows he just was

00:05:00 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 7:

went like way into detail of shows that he didn't like like give me an example yeah what do you

00:05:09 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 3:

mean so because he because he told well he told us he liked the bear and he liked uh uh the morning show and you both like beef but what went wrong yeah like those shows are great and phenomenal

00:05:26 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 7:

But seriously, like, he says, hey, there's a show I know you'll never watch, and you'll hate it. And found out it was, like, incredibly boring, but he loved the book series of it. Like, he kept going on and on and on about it.

00:05:45 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 3:

What was it?

00:05:46 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Foundation.

00:05:49 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 5:

I've never heard of it. What is that?

00:05:51 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 7:

I don't know either. He went on for 45 minutes about it, and I just wanted to die. Like, it kind of went in one ear and out the other. Like, how do you go from you're going to hate this show to going on and yapping about it for 45 minutes?

00:06:12 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 5:

That's a weird jump-off point to say you're never going to watch it, you hate it, and then still talk about it. Exactly.

00:06:20 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 3:

I'm starting to hear an issue here.

00:06:22 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 5:

Well, let's go ahead and tell her what's up.

00:06:24 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 3:

So, Steve's on the line. He's listening. We're trying to use this as a teachable moment. Sorry. Steve? Sorry. Are you there?

00:06:31 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, what's up? I mean, did you hear that?

00:06:35 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 5:

Did you hear what she said?

00:06:36 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 4:

I did, and, you know, I didn't think that that was a big deal. I'm like, it's a TV series, and it makes sense to share my ad reviews just as well as it is to share the TV shows that I really appreciate. You know, I don't see the big deal with sharing my opinion about a show that I thought was not a great show. And it certainly doesn't indicate it's not grounds enough for there to be, you know, no call, no show as far as the second day goes.

00:07:09 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 7:

Dude, you literally saw me, like, fall asleep at the table. Like, read the room, bro. I don't think this is a match.

00:07:18 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 4:

Oh, come on. You're exaggerating.

00:07:21 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 7:

it's not a big deal sure dude like keep telling yourself that okay i'm gonna call no second date uh you are shocked face oh yes please no thanks fair enough i hear you all right i could totally

00:07:38 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 3:
