More variety from the 2000s. The 90s and today, it's Star 101.3. It's Marcus and Corey. Time once again for everybody's fave. It's a second date update.

00:01:40 - 00:01:51 | Speaker 6:

We try to figure out how to get you a second date. You had the first one. You really enjoyed yourself. but then you can't get the other person back for a second date let's welcome zach to the show

00:01:51 - 00:02:01 | Speaker 5:

zach are you there yeah i'm here do me a huge favor that's how we do it you know this because you've been listening for a while but tell us how you met gabby and then tell us like how the first

00:02:01 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 7:

date went okay um well uh started out with me going out with a friend of mine a co-worker to a bar that he likes. And when we were there, we met one of his neighbors, Gabby, and she joined us. And we ended up just basically talking to each other the whole night. We

00:02:21 - 00:02:28 | Speaker 5:

really hit it off. I'm sorry, did the two of you meet in real life? Am I getting this right? Yes. Like old school?

00:02:28 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Old school, we didn't use any computer assistance at all. Wow, I love it. Yeah, and it was working. It was an analog sort of meeting, and it worked. You know, we ended up finding out we had a lot of things in common. I like movies. She loves movies. We made fun of our friend because he's a bit of a neat freak. So we had a little bit of fun poking fun at him. Sure, sure. And she likes video games. I like video games. And, you know, before we know it, like three hours had passed. And it was just, oh, this is really cool. So we exchanged numbers. We started, you know, texting each other, sending memes. And that was really fun, too. So I thought, let's go out. And so we went out on our first date, and I took her to this amazing Thai restaurant. It's one of my favorites. And I thought, everything's going great. The conversation is still flowing the same way as it did on the first night we met. And I thought, oh, this is great. And so I thought, let's go for a second date. And when I asked her out, that was it. Ghosted. Never heard from her. And I just wondered, what the hell went after? Well, we'll get to the bottom of it.

00:03:36 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I mean, that's what we do. So you can't think of anything. I'm sitting here listening going, okay, what did you do wrong?

00:03:41 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 7:

No, she gave me a nice hug at the end of the day. I thought, oh, this is great. And again, it happens so infrequently that I thought, oh, this is great. This is meant to be. Sure.

00:03:54 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 6:

Were you on your best behavior? Were you nice to the server? I was.

00:03:58 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 7:

I'm polite. I'm normally polite.

00:04:00 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 5:

Sounds like a very nice guy, if we're being honest.

00:04:02 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Yeah, so, yeah, I just, I don't know what happened. I thought things were going great, and all of a sudden, she's gone.

00:04:10 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 5:

Let's call her. We're going to call her. Yeah, let's call her. Hang on for a song, and then we'll give Gabby a shout and see how the date went for her. Hang on for me, okay, bud? Thank you. Yeah, you got it. Yeah. It's a second date update. Star 101.3. More variety from the 2000s, the 90s, and today. It's Star 101.3. It's Marcus and Corey. We're doing second date update. We've been chatting with Zach. Met Gabby in a very unconventional way, wouldn't you say, Corey? Well, they met in real life. They didn't do it online. Like we used to back in the day. Yes. And it was one of those situations, Zach, correct me if I'm wrong, but like time just kind of melted. Like you guys started talking and then it was like hours went by.

00:04:49 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 7:

Exactly. It just flowed.

00:04:51 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 5:

Then went out to dinner. Then he tried to ask her out for a second date. She has ghosted. So let's call her and just get the vibe from her perspective. Go ahead and go on mute, Zach. Here we go.

00:05:09 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 6:

Hello? Hi, may I speak with Gabby, please? Yes, this is she. Hi, Gabby. It's Marcus and Corey from Star 103.

00:05:18 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 5:

Gabby.

00:05:19 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 6:

Oh.

00:05:20 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 5:

Hey. Hi.

00:05:21 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 6:

Hey.

00:05:23 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 5:

Do you listen?

00:05:24 - 00:05:25 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:05:25 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 5:

Nice.

00:05:26 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 6:

Well, that's perfect. Do you know what time it is?

00:05:28 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, fair question.

00:05:30 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 7:

I can only guess it might be about something, yeah.

00:05:36 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 5:

What's up? That was very descriptive.

00:05:39 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 6:

It's second date update time. And we were wondering if you would be on it with us.

00:05:46 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 7:

Fine, sure, yes.

00:05:48 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 5:

Excellent.

00:05:49 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 6:

Do you know who we're calling about?

00:05:52 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I think so. Zach.

00:05:55 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:05:55 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 7:

Zach, he's on the phone.

00:05:57 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 5:

Zach, are you there?

00:05:59 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 7:

Hey, Gabby.

00:05:59 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 5:

Might as well just, yeah, let's just do this.

00:06:02 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 7:

Hey, Zach.

00:06:04 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 5:

Hey.

00:06:06 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 7:

Sorry.

00:06:07 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 5:

You know the drill, Gabby. Zach gave us a download, but how was the date from your perspective?

00:06:12 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 7:

I just have to be honest. I feel like we had a great time, great banter. But, like, I wasn't really, I don't know. It just didn't seem like a fit. Like, I told you I hated Thai food, and then you insisted on taking me to Thai food.

00:06:28 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 3:

I see. Yeah. You only think you hated Thai food, right?

00:06:31 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 7:

Because you never had real good Thai food. Not a good first date to, like, you don't care about, like, my preference at all. So I was like, okay, well, let's just make the best of it.

00:06:42 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 6:

So you told him you hate Thai food, and Zach, you took her to a Thai restaurant.

00:06:48 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 5:

Why would you do that?

00:06:50 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 7:

I wrote him off right there, and then I was like, well, tonight's whatever.

00:06:55 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 6:

Zach?

00:06:56 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 3:

I just figured that she doesn't know that she doesn't like Thai food because she's never had real Thai food. And I thought this one was going to blow her mind, right? Because a lot of people say, I don't like Thai food. And then they try it and it's like, oh, yeah, this is the best food in the world. And I just was giving you the opportunity to make an outstanding discovery, basically.

00:07:14 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 6:

People do that to me all the time with lobster and certain seafood. They're like, oh, you just haven't had good lobster.

00:07:20 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 5:

My wife doesn't like lobster and I don't get it.

00:07:22 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 6:

It's a texture thing for me. But my sister constantly made me try at different places. And I'm like, I don't like it. Please stop force feeding me lobster.

00:07:30 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 5:

Okay. My wife says the same thing.

00:07:33 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 6:

There you go.

00:07:35 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 7:

Oh, you mean eat butter?

00:07:37 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 6:

Exactly. It's like just you put butter and garlic on your shoe, you're going to eat it.

00:07:42 - 00:07:42 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:07:43 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 5:

But back to you guys. So, Zach, it sounds like you really kind of forced your way into this. Gabby didn't like it

00:07:54 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 6:

that can seem kind of aggressive on a first date like maybe down the road you say hey do me a favor just try this food but on a first date that's kind of heavy handed

00:08:04 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 3:

I was just trying to help I was just trying to like open her mind a little bit sort of like hey I don't know you back I was trying to help you out trying to open you know your mind a little bit okay good I guess don't do that anymore

00:08:20 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 7:

You guys see what I mean?

00:08:23 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:08:24 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 7:

I'm sure this is the part where you ask me if there's going to be a second date. I'm just going to tell you right now that's a no for me.

00:08:30 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 5:

Right. Hang on. Slightly clueless, I'm not going to lie.

00:08:34 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:08:35 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 5:

I don't think he got it.

00:08:36 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 6:

You save that for later.

00:08:38 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 5:

All right. Second date update, 7.05 weekday mornings, replays at 9.05, of course. Don't miss the podcast on the iHeartRadio app. It's Marcus and Corey's second date update. Smash that subscribe button, okay? Thank you.

00:09:18 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 4:

21 plus. Terms and conditions apply. If you think all chicken bacon ranch is the same, this is Zaxby's.

00:09:24 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 1:

Think again. We just do it different around here. Made with crispy famous fingers, applewood smoked bacon, creamy ranch, and cheddar jack cheese. It's everything you crave. You can get chicken bacon ranch any way you want. Topped on loaded fries, packed into a giant wrap, or bursting out of a quesadilla. Why not go for all three? This is chicken bacon ranch, Zaxby's style. Zaxby's Chicken Bacon Ranch. Who's got the sauce?

00:09:49 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 7:

Zaxby.
