Moto Casino. It's the second date update on Mojo in the morning.

00:02:06 - 00:02:28 | Speaker 3:

It's all good. Second date update. Why are you not getting a call back? Let's see here. We're going with Cole. Cole, good morning, man. How are you? Hazel's getting ghosted. Hazel? Oh, Hazel's getting ghosted. Hazel, you there? Lydia, I won't put, let me pick her up. Hazel.

00:02:28 - 00:02:30 | Speaker 5:

Yep. Go ahead. Line seven. Zach?

00:02:33 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it looks like we may have a system error right now. The system wants to ghost us. Let's see if we can just switch real quick, see if we can get Hazel on. Figure out why she's not getting a call back. Hazel, you there?

00:02:47 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Good morning. Hey. Good morning, Hazel.

00:02:50 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 3:

So what's going on?

00:02:52 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 6:

Well, I'm getting ghosted by this guy.

00:02:54 - 00:03:01 | Speaker 3:

Okay. What happened? And how was the date, and how did things go? You've been trying to reach out to him, huh?

00:03:02 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. You know, I thought everything was fine. He took me out to dinner and then to a comedy show.

00:03:07 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Okay. And things went pretty well?

00:03:10 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 6:

Well, yeah. From looking back at it, yeah. I mean, we didn't, like, you know, we didn't hook up or anything.

00:03:15 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 3:

Okay. How did the night end, though?

00:03:18 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 6:

Well, you know, kind of typical. Walked me back to my car. You know, we did kiss.

00:03:24 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 3:

Okay. It was good. For all intents and purposes, he seemed like a good gentleman. You thought the date went well, and now he's just nowhere to be found.

00:03:32 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, he was a good guy. That's why I'm really confused with his behavior.

00:03:36 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 3:

Okay. All right, well, let's get to the bottom of it. We got Cole on the line. Let's figure out why Cole is ghosting you. Cole, you there?

00:03:43 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm here.

00:03:44 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so we just talked to Hazel, man. It seems like you're a pretty good guy. You walked her back to the car. You did the gentlemanly thing. But from your perspective, man, how did the date go? I mean it wasn't good Okay not good enough For you to call her back though so what happened Well the thing is

00:04:02 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 4:

She wants She's in PA school And she wants to wait to date me Until her school is done and that's like 3 years From now She wants to be friends and I'm a date for 3 years Like are you kidding

00:04:14 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 3:

Wait what So you're on a date And Hazel is what he's saying

00:04:22 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 6:

accurate you're in school right now yeah i'm i'm in school right now trying to be you know educated

00:04:28 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 8:

and be a pa okay so congratulations to you first off so did you actually tell him that you're not

00:04:34 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 6:

interested in dating until you're done i didn't i mean i want to date i just don't know like how he took that as i don't want to like date him i just don't want to have like a serious boyfriend and I want to focus on school.

00:04:50 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 8:

Dumb question. Why'd you go out on a date then in the first place?

00:04:57 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 3:

Not a dumb question.

00:04:59 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 8:

Hazel.

00:05:00 - 00:05:07 | Speaker 5:

I mean, we went out because he seemed like a good guy. We had a nice time. I thought he was just interested in going out on a date.

00:05:08 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 2:

So, Hazel, you're willing to go out with guys and have fun and have a great time. But in terms of committing or trying to get to know them on any serious level, that's not something you're interested in because you're focusing on school.

00:05:23 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 5:

Right. I'm focusing on school, and I don't think that's a big deal.

00:05:27 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 1:

so are you interested in meeting guys i'm just trying to clarify here are you interested in meeting guys to like become friends with are you interested in meeting guys to just hook up with like i understand you don't want anything serious i guess i just don't understand why you would go out on a date if that's not at all what you're actually interested in i'm interested in going

00:05:51 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 5:

out and dating and meeting people and maybe having a few repeat dates i just can't commit to anything

00:05:57 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 2:

serious okay gotcha okay and cole you're interested in finding someone that can be your someone you're looking for your person you're not looking to just have dates yeah and i'm not waiting i'm not being

00:06:10 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 3:

friends with somebody for three years before i date them like that makes no sense got it 844

00:06:16 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I wonder if Hazel's the only person out there that kind of does this. Is this a normal thing that you're familiar with, Shannon?

00:06:27 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 1:

I don't think it's common, but I also don't think that, I know that it happens where people who, let's say, are in medical school studying to become a doctor, they don't want to, like they'll wait to get married or something until they're done with their medical school or their residency or whatnot. they'll put off a big event like that i don't know about the like actual being in a relationship but i'm sure it happens i mean when you're focused on you know a state a particular stage in your life i guess it's hard for me to understand though like putting yourself out there without being very forthcoming with the fact of i do not want a committed relationship i'm just here to have fun and go out every once in a while for companionship you gotta make that very clear

00:07:10 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 2:

Sounds like she did make it clear. And then he's also kind of from the standpoint of, I'm not here just to be a friend. I'm looking for something kind of close to my forever. But let's go to the lines, man. Eric, good morning. Eric, what do you think about this second date update?

00:07:25 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 6:

Honestly, I think they're both really nice people. I think she's a really nice girl. But she's really focused on school. And school is really expensive. And the biggest expense is food. So maybe she might be building up a roster.

00:07:40 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's a big accusation. Oh, Lord.

00:07:46 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 6:

If you want a day without any future anything. And you just want a good dinner?

00:07:53 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 2:

Well, Hazel. Or a free night out. Hazel, is that what this is? Are you kind of just connecting with guys to eat for free?

00:08:02 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God, no. That's, no, that's not what I'm doing at all. I guess maybe just kind of meet new people and have fun is bad.

00:08:10 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 2:

How many dates are we going on these days, Hazel? I'm not really keeping a count. I sound like you dating on a full stomach. Well, it doesn't seem like he's the only one that thought about that, though. We got Amanda on the line with some similar insight. Amanda, you feel the same way, huh?

00:08:29 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 4:

I do. I think it's a day to not eat ramen noodles.

00:08:33 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 2:

that is absolutely insane can you hear me oh yes i didn't know you're still talking okay yeah so but in in in a relationship though which is what cole wants that's not what he's gonna get with hazel so it's like

00:08:58 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 4:

No, I think she's just using it as time to get free meals that she doesn't have to cook because she's paying for school.

00:09:05 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so in that type of situation, I can understand why he will go ahead and ghost her. Brian, what do you think, man? Are you on the same kind of wavelength as everybody else where she's looking for free meals, or you have a different thought? Brian?

00:09:22 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 7:

Oh, hey, can you hear me?

00:09:23 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, there you go. Hey, Brian.

00:09:25 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 7:

Okay, I'm going to turn the radio down. I'm carrying myself back, though.

00:09:28 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. So what's going on, Brian?

00:09:32 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 7:

Oh, but, hey, so I was going to say, I met my wife in college. And at the time, I was the one who was in a demanding field. But, yeah, I wasn't willing to commit at the time. Wow, I'm really excellent.

00:09:51 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Okay. I think we might have lost Brian on that one. Let's go to Lynn. And Lansing's have a different perspective than everybody else that's called.

00:10:00 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 7:

Lynn, what say you?

00:10:02 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 4:

I am very disappointed in you guys and these colors this morning.

00:10:07 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 3:

Why is that?

00:10:08 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 4:

I feel like men date this way all the time. Most men do not go out looking for their forever. Want to have fun, go out. Why is this a double standard? I feel like it's a double standard for people, and we're expecting to always want a commitment or whatever. What's wrong with going out without wanting to find forever?

00:10:30 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 7:

I don't think there's anything wrong with going out and wanting to meet people and wanting to connect with people, understanding that you're not looking for something long term. I also don't think there's anything wrong with Cole, who is looking to date for his forever person.

00:10:47 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 4:

You know, there's nothing wrong with that either. I just feel like stuff are kind of like, are you looking for free food? He just wants to go out and have fun.

00:10:56 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 1:

I do think you need to make that known, though, what you are. Well, she did, but then she was calling us wondering why she got ghosted.

00:11:06 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but he wasn't forthcoming and telling her, well, hey, I'm looking for a fun time. He could have been around.

00:11:15 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 7:

Well, let's see. Hazel, on the date, did Cole tell you that he was looking to find someone to kind of be his forever person?

00:11:23 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 2:

He didn't really mention anything like that. It was kind of just us getting to know each other on a very basic level.

00:11:29 - 00:11:30 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:11:31 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 7:

Well, I mean, at that point, Lynn does have a point. Maybe he could have communicated it early to her. Let's talk to somebody who's kind of in the field, someone who's more focused on school and dating, like, in this life. Erin, how's it been for you in this situation? She's like you got some similar insight.

00:11:48 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, so I'm a young woman who also attended grad school. I did my master's. I'm now married. I met my husband in grad school, and it did happen to work out. But when I was in graduate school, I was 100% focused on getting my degree, building up my career experience. And I was not necessarily dating to look for, you know, my forever partner. But I think it's something that if it's nice, that happens. But I'm totally in her both of, you know, it's fully under her purview to be able to date casually if she'd like. And I'm 100% on her side of her focus is graduate school right now and getting her degree. Right.

00:12:27 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 1:

And I think, again, you just have to be very clear with that. You have to make your intentions very clear or else somebody's going to feel a little taken advantage of.

00:12:33 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 7:

For sure. All right. Two more calls and we'll wrap it up. Hey, Shane. Morning, Shane. What's your take?

00:12:39 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 3:

Morning, Kevin. First time in a long time. Hey, Shane on the phone. Yeah. I was just going to say, I think if it was a guy, it would be different because I feel like she's just going out to have fun to be a guy and not look for something serious. So if it was a guy doing that and a girl...

00:13:02 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 1:

Don't think that we would let him off the hook because we wouldn't.

00:13:05 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 7:

No, Shannon got her finger in the air ready to snap.

00:13:08 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 1:

We would not.

00:13:09 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 3:

it wouldn't be to me it's just i feel like she she put it out there what she wanted yeah

00:13:19 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 7:

and we shouldn't have went yeah yeah it seems like a situation where the honesty was one-sided where it seems like hazel was pretty up front with where she's at in her life what she's looking for and it seems like cole knew what he wanted and is looking for but he didn't communicate it to Hazel and kind of just ghosting her wasn't the right way to go about it. We'll end with Tiff. Yeah, I'm with you, Shane. We'll end with Tilphany. Did I say that right, Tilphany?

00:13:48 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 5:

Hello.

00:13:49 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, did I say your name right, Tilphany?

00:13:51 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 5:

You did exactly right. Thank you so much.

00:13:53 - 00:13:57 | Speaker 7:

Come on, man, I'm cold with this. Tilphany, you're our last caller.

00:13:58 - 00:14:15 | Speaker 5:

I agree with Cole. I don't think it's right that she's going out on a date with him and she's just focusing on school. So if you want companionship, get your schoolmates and get companionship like that. But that makes no sense. Why go out on a date?

00:14:15 - 00:14:15 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:14:15 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 5:

That makes no sense. Why go out on a date if you're not going to date for a purpose of being in a relationship or getting married?

00:14:22 - 00:14:23 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:14:23 - 00:14:56 | Speaker 7:

I understand it. I understand your perspective. I also understand Hazel's. I don't want to just go out with my school buddies all day and just have, you know, PA conversations. And I still, you know, have that itch, you know, in some respects that needs to be scratched, even though it's not going to be a forever thing. And as long as she's up front with it, like she was with Cole. Right. Then I think she's very up front. So I don't think they'll have a second date. Seems like they're in two different stages of their lives. But, Hazel, hopefully you continue to have fun on these dates. And Cole, hopefully your next date is your forever, man. So good luck to the two of you.

00:14:57 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. All right. Yeah, thanks. This is the homeless.
