It's Mojo in the morning. This is big news. Shannon possibly buying a new house or moving into a new house. And you're not completely happy about this.

00:02:45 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 3:

I don't know how I feel about this. That is for sure. Yeah. So I mentioned earlier in the week that Wes and I were going to go look at a home this week. We're actually going tomorrow. We were supposed to go on Monday and it got all screwed up. So we're going tomorrow now. And I had no intention of moving from the house that I live in now. I love my house so much. And when Wes and I got married last year, we had had a lot of discussions leading up to us getting married and blending our families about, OK, he has lived on the east side for years and years. And that's where he raised his kids. And that's where they go to school. And I'm on the west side. And that's where I've raised Lucy and Smith and where they go to school. But after talking about it, we're like Lucy and Smith are going to be in their school district for a whole lot longer. So it was decided that even instead of looking for other houses, everybody was going to move into my house and all all was good. Well, over the course of the past year, Wes has not really felt comfortable in the house as comfortable as he thought he would. And the reason being the house that I am currently in is the house that my ex-husband and I bought together and lived in for a couple of years before we got divorced. And then I stayed in the house and he moved out and bought a different house. And so Wes is like, I just think that it is time for us to buy something that is ours together and we can work on and make ours together. And this discussion really has just kind of ramped up.

00:04:33 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 4:

Does the house have still, like, signs of Andrew in it? Or is it, like, is there stuff that, something that makes him think of that?

00:04:44 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 3:

I mean, yeah, like, there's still leftover stuff. I've done a lot of work on the house to make it mine. Like, just mine. The house has been a labor of love for me. but I think yeah there are still things not glaring things but i just knowing that that was the case he just feels like he can't get 100

00:05:08 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 1:

percent comfortable there is there ways that you could um have west change change up some of the stuff like in have it be what west's kind of idea we've tried we've talked about this i mean he

00:05:20 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 3:

switched the whole garage to a gym it's that is it is a gym um and some other things but i just don't think that he is where he thought he'd be a year in and i am just like i don't know that i

00:05:34 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 2:

want to move do you think like because you mentioned that it has been maybe a baby concern for him like it's something he's vocalized in the past yes but you mentioned that it's ramped up

00:05:43 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 3:

lately do you know why it's ramped up lately i think we started talking about like looking at houses and i think now the idea um that that is even a possibility um is like it's it's making him excited that we could have something together you know do you bring up things from the past a

00:06:05 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 1:

lot like are you a i remember when and stuff like that because i'm i'm like that a lot of times and i'll bring up things like do you bring up i remember when lucy was little and i remember this stuff and maybe that makes west feel uncomfortable i mean maybe naturally yeah do you i don't i don't try to but which which i listen i see i'm a person that holds on to a lot of the past one of the things that one of the things that chels says to me all the time is um i don't live in the moment so i don't enjoy my now i always think that everything was better in the past and when you don't enjoy the moment and don't enjoy the now and you think of the past so much honestly your future is kind of dim a little bit you know because you're not enjoying every day that you got to live but i so i am a person that holds on to stuff that's how i am so

00:06:54 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

super sentimental and i i am trying to put myself in west's shoes and i totally understand where he's coming from yeah i really i a million percent understand where he's coming from so i know that i am being kind of selfish to go well i don't know if i want to move it's just i think it'd be anywhere too like i am so i get so attached to things that do i'm

00:07:19 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 2:

really hard for me this is the house your kids grew up in though it's not like some little fly by night little condo you know what i'm saying like this is like but we were talking about this

00:07:28 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 3:

last night and he's like but i moved out of the house that my kids grew up in wow okay to move

00:07:33 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 1:

in with you so okay he's right see i i always thought that he was living uh not that that he

00:07:39 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 3:

when his wife split that he he moved into another house but they lived there for a good seven eight

00:07:43 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 1:

years oh they did okay yeah all right um wow well yeah i mean definitely have to have some compromise

00:07:50 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 3:

here how would the kids feel about moving out of this house um i can't speak for his kiddos i can't speak for you know sam and kieran i we i floated the idea to lucy and smith and they were not

00:08:05 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 1:

well that's what i'm asking about but they're like because sam and kieran this house to them is just a house right lucy and smith how do they feel about it i think they're really attached

00:08:15 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 3:

because they're getting ready to move their dad's getting ready to move too so they're like we just you know we're already moving yeah um i but i also know i can't let them dictate what wes and I decide to do yeah but I want to take their feelings into consideration for sure yeah I uh

00:08:32 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 1:

I will say this to you that uh you do hold on to a lot of the a lot of the past yeah I know I do and I think they and I think a lot of it is you do because you want your kids to have a little bit of normalcy because I think that there's still a lot of you that um you know the the idea that your kids had to go through a divorce probably is not uh is not something that you're happy about that happened so I think you try to make your kids lives so normal that you actually don't make your life sometimes normal yeah and I think that uh I think it's tough and I think that honestly I I get it I totally get it yeah but I will say this to you that um also the thought of moving I know it's so daunting but I but but I will say that I will say this to you that if you can find the right place like I wouldn't move to move into a place that's not the right place but you you guys will if you find the right place it would be a great situation for you know you guys and i know you're moving your kids out of a school right you're moving lucy yeah and smith probably will follow probably right you and jason i don't know but okay so you're moving them so it's not like you need to hold into the area of the school district and stuff like that i i don't know this might be actually a good thing but i would but i would give it a little bit of time i would give it to find the right house yeah i mean there are definitely positives to it yeah there are so

00:09:53 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

many positives to it gabby what are your thoughts on this good morning i'm in listening

00:10:00 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 4:

Same spot, Shannon, and just finishing up kind of the process here. I found a great, great person to build a life with and just listing my house today, actually. It was hard packing it up, and my kids are a little bit younger, but I think they're resilient, and you explain the great things that are ahead of them and have a great partner also to help with the tough part of the move, which sucks, but we're in it together.

00:10:26 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 2:

So are you sad about moving out of this house?

00:10:30 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 4:

um you just sound sad to begin with i don't know what it sounds right you sound like very sad no i'm very excited i'm sorry i'm nervous okay i was gonna say you don't sound excited but

00:10:43 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 2:

but that's okay so you're so you're happy about the new life that you're going to build in this

00:10:47 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 4:

new house yeah exactly and it's a house that we both have had together so we we have new memories to create so i think you you will find yourself in the same spot even though it's a big scary

00:11:01 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 2:

endeavor right now that's good that's good advice thank you for the call sabrina hi

00:11:05 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 5:

hi what's happening so i wanted to say that it's your feelings are valid it's totally normal to get attached to a house especially where you build memories and where you've lived so long um i think you have to think about it like nobody forced west to move out of his like the house that his kids grew up the house that he built memories from it was his choice and um i i mean have you guys given a thought to maybe you staying there and him potentially like moving out i think

00:11:42 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 2:

even sometimes wait a second are you saying have separate houses

00:11:46 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 5:

well either he could rent or something no no no no i would very much like to live in the same house as my husband let's not entertain that yeah have you guys heard of um the two separate rooms

00:12:03 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 3:

just to give yourself like a little bit i don't even want that actually actually shannon it's

00:12:09 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 2:

interesting because when west did move from one side of town to the other that was actually a conversation i think we did have on the air where it was how long can he do this where you guys do the long distance thing yeah because we know a couple yes that did they you know they were

00:12:24 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 3:

married but they did live in separate houses um which and actually i do not want to do that also i could we could not i mean i guess we could but that would be such a stretch and no yeah i want i

00:12:34 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 2:

went to my husband every day have you ever thought have you ever thought of building him a tree fort in the backyard that's going to be the next call that we're going to grab her hi Ari what's going

00:12:44 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 6:

on good morning so I totally get where you're coming from Shannon but like when I married my husband I moved into the house he had with his ex and no matter how many renovations we do or how much we try to make it ours I still feel the past in the walls it's like not about paint or new floors it's more about the fact that he bought this house and they have memories whether it's good or bad like you can change the house but I can't change the history that part still lingers

00:13:10 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 3:

and I want to say he said something very similar to me and again I understand that I'm just struggling with the thought of moving it's like I'm really excited at the possibility but I'm also

00:13:23 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 2:

just having a tough time well I think and the other thing too is again going back to it if you when you find the next place you're gonna go okay this is great and you'll get excited and then when move out of your house after you sell your house you'll get sad but you know what you have the future of this new place that you're going to go to that will go okay this is going to be nice and you're going to put a bunch of money in your pocket hopefully because the homes are still

00:13:49 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 3:

selling for some money i know but homes also are costing some money you need you need to get a good

00:13:54 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 2:

agent to sell that place who wes is on the phone with us right now ladies and gentlemen hi wesley good morning good morning Wes tell us your your perspective on this one we want to hear your point of view honest yeah please please I want no holds barred tell us what's going on is she

00:14:16 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 1:

holding on to the past uh yeah but it's understandable I get it but it's her feelings that she has about this home are the same that I had about my home and that was not an easy move for the kids and for myself and i thought okay we'll stick it out we'll do this thing we'll move in but it hasn't felt like home i love it it's a beautiful home but it's shannon's home of her past and there's a lot of reminders around the home of that what are some of the reminders um for one there's giant m's throughout the house that's not my initial for my last name And it may be for Murphy, but I.

00:15:00 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 3:

I know it's not. Wait, wait, wait. Why are they still around? Why are the M's still around? Just haven't taken stuff down. Like we're slowly replacing all that stuff. And yeah.

00:15:09 - 00:15:17 | Speaker 1:

Come on. So for me, like in my. You fix things. She changed. You change things all the time and you have lots of change. Why are you not taking the M's down?

00:15:17 - 00:15:19 | Speaker 3:

He could take anything down he wants.

00:15:19 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 1:

I know. But why are you not taking it down? That's not my responsibility. Honestly, why are you not taking it down?

00:15:23 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 3:

It's literally screwed into the wall. I've tried. I mean, honestly. I literally bought so many things for that stuff.

00:15:30 - 00:15:50 | Speaker 1:

But you buy, here it's a deal. Wes, that is like the most legit thing ever. It's hard, it's hard. Let's be honest, it's hard. But I will say this to you. And listen, I love you. But that is, to me, that would be the, like if I saw the M's every single day, and I know they're, and I agree with them.

00:15:50 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 3:

And I get it.

00:15:51 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 1:

But I would, to me, Wes is actually pretty good to not rip them down like out of his head. But he doesn't want to do that because he doesn't want to be a guy ripping that down. it's time for you to rip it down yeah it really is and it's not your kids are not going to be affected by this your kids are fine i'm telling you we worry so much about our kids our kids are you got to be the one fine with it and it's and honestly that that's a great moment for you to say you know what i've i'm done i'm i'm and then shannon has done a lot of that i just think that

00:16:18 - 00:16:31 | Speaker 2:

there's there's a lot of those memories that are formed and it's great but i also like you said But there's that path forward, or I think you said Chelsea had mentioned something about, like, what does that future look like for us?

00:16:33 - 00:16:58 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to say this to you, Wes. You're a very patient man. You are very, very patient. And I do think, and listen, I know that you're the type of guy that we could be talking a year from now and you'd still be in that house. And you'll probably still be patient because I know you love Shannon. But I do think that this is more than just that house. It's just you just taking that leap forward. It's more than literally the four walls and the roof over your head. It's other stuff, too. I guarantee you, Wes.

00:16:59 - 00:17:06 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, there's other stuff. You know, that's a little probably more private. But, yeah, there's definitely other things that we want to make ours together. Yeah. So, yeah.

00:17:08 - 00:17:14 | Speaker 1:

I'm happy that we have you on the air because, honestly, I'm going to go rip the goddamn M's off. Thanks.

00:17:14 - 00:17:18 | Speaker 3:

I have told him to do that, and they haven't come down.

00:17:18 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 1:

But, again, like what Wes said, you've got to be the one to do that. and it's not your kids aren't going to care if the m's are coming down it's you got to be the

00:17:25 - 00:17:31 | Speaker 2:

one that's caring about that i would be hurt if shannon had done that to my house i i would to

00:17:31 - 00:17:38 | Speaker 1:

be honest i would yeah yeah yeah um it's funny say what's like what it is yeah well i've literally

00:17:38 - 00:17:47 | Speaker 3:

tried i know which one you're talking about and i've literally tried to get that out of the wall good luck try well there's like i'm not that's not just up because it's up i'm keeping it up for

00:17:47 - 00:18:44 | Speaker 1:

any reason yeah listen the hardest part with uh and i don't know divorce at all but i know you know that chelsea and i have struggled the hardest part of anything is some of those moments in the past that you wish that you could do things all over again and stuff your kids have a great freaking life and you have a great life andrew has a great wife you know a great life and wife and in kids like it's you guys have the beauty of what transpires through the divorce that that you guys had is now you have more people to love you know what i mean and look at that as a as a positive and this man is putting up with a lot of you got a lot of patience here wes i think i i get it and i get i get what's going on this is hard for you i know it's hard for you yeah where's karen at your your i see her at one o'clock today hey you want to play this i see

00:18:44 - 00:18:49 | Speaker 3:

her at one o'clock ask her about the m's telly rip it off the wall burn it in the backyard yeah

00:18:49 - 00:19:06 | Speaker 1:

i don't even know if you need a moment there's an i we have a problem um man i you know this is we talk about how real we are talking about stuff on the show uh this is about as real as you can get what's up mary k you wanted to say something

00:19:06 - 00:19:17 | Speaker 3:

that yeah we're a w family now so just you know slip those arms upside down that's why i've tried trust me that's what we were gonna do it was a joke can't get the damn thing off the wall

00:19:17 - 00:19:27 | Speaker 1:

by the by the way uh uh renee and tushar are coming to list your house today they're gonna

00:19:27 - 00:19:36 | Speaker 3:

list also if you are somebody texting me right now and you're a mortgage lender please stop I have gotten four text messages since I started this. Yes.

00:19:38 - 00:20:25 | Speaker 1:

Here's the thing. If you're somebody that's selling a house and you want to, before you list it, sell it to Shannon, those are the people you want to talk to. And I said this to her, Wes. I don't know if you heard her to say this. You'll find the right place. You guys both are smart to not just jump to whatever because you know that sometimes we make crazy decisions in times of. of passion and stuff. But I will say this when you find that right house, that's going to be your house. It's going to be the greatest house ever because of the two. It'll be down the street and just for me. Right. I like that option. I'm going to call my buddy Carson who lives down the street from you guys and see if he'll flip houses. I would buy his house. I love his house. We'll talk to you guys later. I talked to you later, Wes. All right. See you guys. Bye. All right. Bye. Bye.

00:20:25 - 00:20:55 | Speaker 4:
