Police officers will do that every single time, and they don't get tickets. Police officers run through red lights, and they don't get tickets. They'll flip their little wee-wee-wees. But they're on official business.

Well, I'm a retired policeman. Spent over 30 years in Detroit. Thank you for your service, man. Thank you. And one thing that's taken into consideration, when I started on the job in the early 70s, a lot of police were getting shot. And when we patrol, you know, yeah, we turn our lights off so we can see them more. But when you stay still, you're a target. People were shooting at policemen back then like they're doing, like they did the last few years. And, you know, and we didn't use our lights above when we're doing a traffic stop because at nighttime you're a target. Just use your four-way blinkers.

And, like, now everybody uses their lights, but we didn't.

Yeah, listen, I don't know. I could never be a police officer, a military person, or a firefighter. Anybody that has to run into the line of fire or the craziness while others are running out, to me, I just couldn't do it. So respect to them.
