This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:01:06 - 00:01:51 | Speaker 4:

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, people in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be the thing you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four year.

good morning and welcome to your home of the war of the roses it is mojo in the morning we're getting closer and closer to the holidays guys don't be effing up your family's christmas for god's sakes if you can't keep it in your pants for one month what the hell is wrong with you this morning we bust a husband cheating on his wife after she got caught cheating so is this revenge cheating and is revenge cheating really something is there anybody listening to this morning that has ever been in a relationship where they've revenge cheated or somebody that they were with revenge cheated i would love to hear those stories uh this morning here the call coming up that is at 7 40 it is tuesday so yes 7 40 we will have that for you uh we got a lot of stuff to get to i mean this morning show is going to be a good one i promise you stick around because jingle ball tickets are on the way we also are going to be giving away a bunch of other good prizes to trip to miami florida although it's i just saw the uh the temperature they Thank you.

00:05:00 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 3:

I just did something on the news where they said that the temperatures down in Florida are in the 60s right now. They're saying there's like a cold snap. Like, I'll take a cold snap of 60s. Did you guys see the accident that took place on 94 yesterday? No. Is everybody all right? Well, no, I don't think so. I think we'll have to cover it maybe with some breaking dirty news coming up a little later this morning. I think that the update was that there were a couple of fatalities, if I'm not mistaken.

00:05:28 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh.

00:05:28 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, one critical, actually one critically injured, 17-vehicle crash. Wow, damn. And this was on 94 Westbound at Hartford, which I have no idea where that is. But I know it's in our state, in the mitten somewhere. But it's somewhere I have not, actually, I think it's, you know, like when you're driving on your way to Chicago.

00:05:54 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 4:

That's deep.

00:05:54 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:05:55 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 4:

It was some ass trying to cause an accident this morning. Taking this new trip, going down the lodge, bumping over to 94 where you get all of the truck traffic and people don't know how to merge and they think they got to speed up and go faster than the truck. You can get dangerous outside, man. Be careful.

00:06:12 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 5:

I did not realize everybody hated the lodge when I moved up here because that, like, literally first day was the road that I had to take to go to work when we were in Farmington Hills. And then it wasn't until we came here that everybody was like, I hate the lodge. I personally love it. Thank you. Everybody drives like a maniac. I get where I want to go quick.

00:06:28 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 3:

I had a guy on the, it all happens on the Lodge, by the way. Everything happens on the Lodge. I had a guy today in a white Dodge Durango license plate number, Amazon Mary. No, the guy, the guy didn't have his lights on.

00:06:43 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's so scary.

00:06:45 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 3:

And I'm like, how are you driving without your lights on? First off, I think I am night blinded. I think I have night blindness, which is very not safe for me to be driving. But not safe for me to be driving when I got some guy that's running up my tail and I can't see him. I was like, what the hell is that all about? I know, it's like crazy. And then today, like I'm having one of those days. I almost pulled a Jameer Gibbs, by the way, today. I literally was going to post. I never post something this early in the morning on social media. And I almost posted something, and I was going to post a picture from Tony's office, and it was a poster from, or a thing in his office he's got written on there, the lineup for the Jingle Ball, who's going to be on at the Simes and stuff like that. Oh, we don't even know. Did I get that? I was going to post it, and I was going to post me standing in front of it, and then I realized, oh, my God, that's no better than Jameer Gibbs posting in front of the whiteboard with the plays. Did you guys see that from this weekend? Jameer Gibbs, by the way, I have an update for you on that, too. Is Dan Campbell pissed at him? We'll have that in just a second. But if you miss this story, it is actually a great story. And you'll have to call us up and you'll have to tell us, have you ever accidentally posted something that you shouldn't have posted on social media? But Jameer Gibbs did this. Hold on. Here's the clip from Dan. Where's that? Oh, you know, and I screwed up. I always screw this thing up this early in the morning. I got to, like, reset my, not my board, my brain this early in the morning on how to make stuff happen. There he goes.

00:08:21 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 2:

The media posts where, you know, there was a bunch of plays or partial calls on the whiteboard behind him. Is that something where you need to just remind a player to, you know, be smart about what they're posting on social media? Is there anything, you know, that could... Who was that? I believe Gibbs posted a photo of Jefferson with a bunch of, you know, lingo on the whiteboard in the running back room behind him.

00:08:42 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I didn't know that. I didn't know that. Okay. Yeah, I need to check on that then. Did not know that. Yeah, I'd rather our stuff not be out there.

00:08:53 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 5:

Can I say the reporter's in more of the wrong than Gibbs was?

00:08:56 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 1:

Why?

00:08:57 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 5:

Because I don't think that many people notice what Gibbs did, but as soon as you do this in an interview, everybody goes to go look at the photo, and then it becomes a national news story. Like, if you really cared about the team, why wouldn't you pull them to the side and be like, hey, I think you should address this? It's called journalism. I don't care. Do it for the team.

00:09:14 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 3:

Do it for the city.

00:09:15 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 4:

We just dealt with this with Jameson.

00:09:18 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 3:

Listen.

00:09:18 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 5:

Right.

00:09:19 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 3:

This is news, man. This is news news. Jameson's a little different than this one. The Jameson one, nobody would have known about that. This one was on social media. People saw it.

00:09:27 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but not the country.

00:09:29 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 3:

Well, not probably mom sitting there, you know, making her coffee in the morning, but definitely the other team saw it, I'm sure.

00:09:36 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 4:

This is what I will say. Like, looking at the whiteboard, looking at how detailed these plays are, jocks get a lot of flack for being stupid and being idiots. Like, that's like the movie gag, like dumb jocks. You look at these play calls, and you look at how detailed and intricate some of this stuff is. Oh, yeah. How the hell can you remember this, even if you do see it all so soon?

00:09:58 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 5:

When I dated a UFL player...

00:10:00 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 3:

He had me write him flashcards and have him practice with that, and I had no idea what I was talking about or saying, but he was speaking gibberish, it felt like. I do love the names, though. The names are fire. One of the plays was Khloe Kardashian. I was like, whoever named that, I like you. She is the best Kardashian. Who gets to name the plays?

00:10:18 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 1:

Is that the quarterback or the coach? Ben Johnson, probably. I would say that Ben probably is the guy doing it. Here's what Dan Campbell said on his daily talk show on 97.1 The Ticket. uh dan dan dan campbell said uh said i don't give a crap that was his exact thing his quote he said um he said if we're going to lose because of code words then we're not good enough anyway he said if you don't think that our freaking playbook is out there right now and everybody's already pretty much seen that playbook by watching video of our games then you're crazy that's uh that's dan campbell dan campbell by the way you know he does care though i'm telling you there ain't a coach in the world that doesn't care that you i'll tell you what you guys put our playbook out for this morning show before i get a chance to you know deliver it on the radio i'm making

00:11:07 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 3:

you guys all run laps you want to place a bet i bet a hundred dollars dan campbell in the room

00:11:12 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 2:

said we gotta be smart man yes exactly come on man that's not smart it's a fact but like i think i don't know if you just read the ben johnson quote but he said something to the effect that you still got to go out there and stop us. I love that. You know what I mean? You can give all of us in this room a script. You give it to Brad Pitt, it's going to sound a bit different. You know what I mean? What does that mean? What do you mean? What does it mean?

00:11:36 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 3:

At least say Meryl Streep.

00:11:37 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 2:

It means Brad Pitt's a bad actor. What are you talking about? Stripping. Okay, where's the diversity in roles? Listen, if you're great, you don't have to be diverse.

00:11:47 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 1:

Come up with a better one than that. I mean, geez.

00:11:51 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 2:

He's like Tom Cruise. He plays the same person in every movie. Why does that matter, though? People say the same thing about Denzel Washington. If you're great at a thing, then why do you need to switch it up?

00:11:59 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 1:

Don't even put Denzel's name in the same name vein as Brad Pitt. Denzel's a legend.

00:12:04 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 2:

Where all does Brad Pitt hate come from? No, it's not.

00:12:08 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 3:

I'm starting the dirty with the Brad Pitt. Kardashian. I didn't even know that.

00:12:13 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 1:

I love, by the way, I love the whole, nobody knew what that whole thing was of calling out plays until Peyton Manning did Omaha. Yes.

00:12:21 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. um do you know i did this though once i posted something i wasn't supposed to and i thought i was gonna get my dad in a lot of trouble what was it i think i can tell this story now because he doesn't work there anymore but my dad used to work for a company that made like bottles for companies um and one of the companies was testing out a new product and it was a makeup remover and it had the brand name on it but the label on the back was like not for sale testing bottle yada yada yada he was like but it has the real product in it but it wasn't a product that was out yet and i post it online and i got a lot of trouble i've heard a lot of people in the autos

00:12:57 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 1:

that do this with cars like their families get a car for the weekend and you know you ever see the camo cars yeah that's kind of cool where the people get to drive it's got like a white and black and white yeah um but i i heard a lot of times where you know these engineers will drive these things home and their kids will take a picture inside the car and then people get all crazy i think the somebody told me that the escalade the new escalade which by the way i don't know if you've seen it has just a tv screen across the entire front the passenger can watch tv while they're there that's super the driver can't see it but somebody said that somebody took a picture of that way ahead of time and it shouldn't have been out there but real quick i want to get calls on this 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 what did you accidentally post on social media or what did you accidentally take a picture of that you know somebody shouldn't have seen i'm telling you this probably happens in our studio and people don't even because people are weird you guys are weird we will post something and somebody will they'll screen in on it and they'll say oh look at

00:13:58 - 00:14:02 | Speaker 3:

that look at what's coming up on the show tomorrow yeah

00:14:02 - 00:14:08 | Speaker 2:

it is true yeah you are that person what are you talking about you are the zoomer inner of the picture yes you are

00:14:08 - 00:14:21 | Speaker 3:

what are you talking about do you ever do it with pictures of people wearing sunglasses to go who took this photo yes all of my photos he's like i know it's a selfie he was like get somebody else to take your

00:14:21 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 1:

photos because you can see it out there yeah i don't i only do it just to see if i can see a nip slip that's all i do really yes just want to see if i can see it because the last time you

00:14:31 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 2:

zoomed in on a picture it was of megan in our group chat so uh what was it what was it what was the i don't remember i think it was when she was trying on dresses i think that's what it was

00:14:41 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 1:

Maybe.

00:14:41 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 3:

What were you doing, zooming in on my photos, trying on dresses?

00:14:45 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 1:

Huh? You were sending pictures to us. No, I wasn't.

00:14:50 - 00:14:56 | Speaker 3:

Yes, you were. Yeah. It was on your story. I didn't send you guys photos in the group chat.

00:14:56 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 2:

You did a topic, and then you put it in the group chat.

00:14:57 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no, that was the shorts, not dresses.

00:15:00 - 00:15:03 | Speaker 5:

The booty shorts. Oh, my God. You zoomed in on that, you weirdo?

00:15:03 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 6:

Maybe.

00:15:06 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 5:

Why don't I participate in the group chat? Y'all are weird.

00:15:10 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 6:

I'm going to get Ben Johnson to call into the show. And when he calls into the show, we're going to ask him to make a play where it's based on us. Wouldn't that be kind of cool? That would be amazing. Could you imagine if that would be the case? Text her here. Here we go. Text 586. 586 says I posted my address on my social media and said that I was going to bring home a bunch of things to my house people literally showed up at my house so I that's so funny I that just

00:15:38 - 00:15:50 | Speaker 3:

reminded me I accidentally did that I posted a magazine cover I think we won an award inside or something and so I posted a photo of the cover with a thank you but it had the address part of

00:15:50 - 00:16:03 | Speaker 6:

the address tag on it nice yeah and then another texter here this is a wild you you guys were talking about accidentally posting i accidentally posted some information about payroll on our

00:16:03 - 00:16:13 | Speaker 3:

social media got me in huge trouble you know what else you have to be careful of is uh dog callers if you post a photo of your dog because your phone number is usually on there that's how i posted my

00:16:13 - 00:16:43 | Speaker 6:

phone number yeah wow yeah that that's one of those ones where you don't even think about it You don't even think about it at all. But people do zoom in on this stuff. And for you to say that this person in the media, whoever it was, shouldn't have asked that question. That's like a legit question. I mean, to me, if I'm somebody in the media, I want to have that story. I want to break that story. And then 419 says, I'm dying here right now because I agree. Brad Pitt does suck. Oh, God. Whatever, y'all.

00:16:43 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 3:

And he's not that cute. I said it.

00:16:45 - 00:16:46 | Speaker 6:

I don't know about all that.

00:16:46 - 00:16:49 | Speaker 3:

He's okay. I like his movies, though. That's all I'm saying.

00:16:49 - 00:16:54 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's the Tom Cruise effect. Tom Cruise is in great movies. True. Terrible actor.

00:16:55 - 00:17:13 | Speaker 6:

I'm not. Y'all are a tough crowd. It's a tough crowd today. Absolutely. All right. 844-MOJO-LIVE is our telephone number. 844-665-6548. Text is 95500. Lydia, anything on this? Any calls or anything on this?

00:17:13 - 00:17:15 | Speaker 1:

Where are our listeners? Just wondering.

00:17:15 - 00:17:16 | Speaker 6:

Is nobody listening right now?

00:17:16 - 00:17:17 | Speaker 1:

No one's listening.

00:17:17 - 00:17:28 | Speaker 6:

answering me. What's going on? Oh, they're texting and they're not answering you. Okay. Alright, then let me go into the contest here. What's that?

00:17:29 - 00:17:30 | Speaker 5:

Don't give something away if they're not going to call.

00:17:30 - 00:17:31 | Speaker 6:

Okay, no rewards.

00:17:33 - 00:17:38 | Speaker 5:

It's the holiday season. I don't care. Just say hi. Call it and say hi.

00:17:38 - 00:17:47 | Speaker 6:

Say good morning. My car says it all. Brad Pitt sucker not. Who's this? What's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

00:18:16 - 00:18:25 | Speaker 6:

Dick! Mean guy. You're a mean person. Hi, Mojo in the morning. Hello. Good morning. I love you guys. Oh, we love you guys.

00:18:25 - 00:18:32 | Speaker 5:

We love you too. What's happening? Nothing much. Just got off work. Listening to y'all.

00:18:32 - 00:18:35 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I see that. You're just proving that there is somebody listening. Thank you. What's your name?

00:18:36 - 00:18:37 | Speaker 5:

Maisha. Maisha,

00:18:38 - 00:18:41 | Speaker 6:

I appreciate you for calling and letting us know that you're there. Love you.

00:18:41 - 00:18:48 | Speaker 5:

Have a good morning. I love her. Take care of yourself.

00:18:48 - 00:18:52 | Speaker 6:

Hold on. Sarah's brother got fired for posting something that he shouldn't have posted. What's that, Sarah?

00:18:53 - 00:19:06 | Speaker 1:

So he actually worked for a transportation company of new cars, and it was when Twitter was just getting popular, and he posted a photo of the new model Ford truck and was fired that afternoon.

00:19:06 - 00:19:10 | Speaker 6:

Oh, that's not good. Oh, my God.

00:19:10 - 00:19:17 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, he even deleted it within, like, 10 minutes of posting it, but it wasn't quick enough. So his supervisor was able to see it.

00:19:17 - 00:19:21 | Speaker 6:

Lightning fast. Yeah, they don't mess at all, do they, with the big three?

00:19:21 - 00:19:28 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no. No, no, no. He has been banned from ever working for a company of that sorts again because of it.

00:19:28 - 00:19:39 | Speaker 6:

Now what is he doing? What's he doing for work? Is he working in radio? Is he part of our 11-team play? Kevin, I'm with us right now. Kevin? That's me. Your brother pulled a Jameer Gibbs. What did he do?

00:19:40 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

So me and him used to own the T-Mobile, and I don't know why. He was younger, you know, and he had made a post on Twitter saying T-Mobile service sucks. And he put out like a hashtag, he even put hashtag T-Mobile, and someone from higher up got a hold of it. And then like a few hours later, I get a call from a master agent, and he was like,

00:20:00 - 00:20:09 | Speaker 6:

what did your brother just post i'm like what are you talking about i go look at his twitter and he posted i saw the post and he's like you gotta fire your brother immediately or i'm ripping

00:20:09 - 00:20:21 | Speaker 7:

your store oh no wait so why would he not think that that was a bad idea for your business that you guys are running selling t-mobile products well well you know back then t-mobile

00:20:21 - 00:20:32 | Speaker 6:

did suck but uh did you fire your brother before the sprint merger yeah did you fire him Oh, I fired him. I own the store. I'm not going to lose my money.

00:20:33 - 00:20:35 | Speaker 7:

Is it tough to fire your brother?

00:20:35 - 00:20:50 | Speaker 6:

You know, it was pretty easy. I still have one up on him. I still use it to the day, you know, four or five years later. So it's funny now, honestly. But back then I was very irritated because I was very short-staffed. And, you know, losing my right hand was not good.

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State, with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four-year.
