Oh, my gosh. This is a wild story, Spiceky. I tell this about how an act of kindness actually saved your ass.

Yeah. I wonder if I would have been in the hospital or something if I had. This is a matter of maybe 15 seconds that could have altered my future. And I'll tell you what happened because when we left work, I totally forgot to tell you guys about this yesterday. When we left work for the holiday weekend, I mean, like the rest of you, I was just in such a good mood. I was so happy. And last week, I was just like, I heard music and birds chirping in my head because I was like, oh, four-day weekend. Oh, my gosh, I'm so excited. So on the way home, I decided to take lunch to my daughter at her job. And I just, you know, let me get my car washed. I'm feeling so good. And then I waved a guy to pull out in front of me. You know, he was pulling out of a parking lot, and I was at a red light, so I waved, you know, go ahead, go in front of me. So he let him out in front of me because I'm just having such a good mood, and I want to pass along that happy kindness. 20 seconds later, wham! Deer runs out in front of his truck, causes a huge accident. Oh, my God. Probably totaled his truck. And so, like, it just smashed. It was like fireworks, like just deer parts and car parts going everywhere all over the street. So he pulls into the median. It's on Grand River. So it's like five lane road. So he pulls in the median to get out of traffic's way. I pull up kind of behind him, but blocking the lane with my hazards on because there's half a deer in the middle of the street.

Oh, God.

And I'm like, oh, my gosh. So I pull over. I go up to the side of the car. I'm like, are you OK, dude? And he's like, yeah, I'm fine. His airbag went off. And here's the funny part that made me laugh. He was pissed because he just got home from three days of hunting. and he was pissed because he didn't even see a damn deer the whole time he was out there. He's telling me, so then he smashes one with his truck. So, oh my gosh, it was a gruesome scene. He was totally fine. His truck was not, but this deer was, I don't even want to describe it this early, while people have their kids in the car.

No, please don't. I hate when I see deer outside of the road.

No, but it was at this point that I realized if I didn't wave him out to pull right in front of me, I probably would have hit the deer. Oh, that's right. Because it was literally the difference. I mean, this thing ran like maybe five, ten seconds difference. I would have been hitting this deer.

Speed limit was 55. It was nighttime. He didn't have his headlights on. and he was going the wrong direction, and I saw him at the last second.

What's going on?

So I had something really, really weird happening to me a few years ago. My boyfriend and I were supposed to go to a party down in Ohio in Perrysburg, And we were running late because I started having a panic attack out of nowhere. And I've never had one. Like, it was really bad anxiety. Like, I didn't want to move. I had stomach cramps. And then 15 minutes go by, everything was fine. So we left and we passed the car that got in a head-on collision. And the people that were in the car actually died. And that happened 15 minutes. Oh, jeez. Wow.

Wow, that's awful.

Yeah, I told that story last year. I was driving with some photographer friends to go to Indiana and take some pictures. And Meg was in the car with me. We pulled over to get coffee. The lady spilled it all over when she handed it to me. It all went in my car, and so we had to clean it up. Got back on the highway, and it was probably a 10-minute delay. And there was like a five-car pileup right there at the entrance. And this 18-wheeler crossed over the median into our oncoming traffic. And I thought the same thing. I thought, I wonder if that lady didn't spill the coffee on us.

You got car karma.

I hope so. This is like between that and this. I must, because I'm a nutso driver, but I've never been in an accident, so it's like... Well, you better knock on my head. Yeah, why would you say that out loud? Well, you know, I mean, at this point, knock on my head.

Yes, I'm on the freeway. I'm riding up 96th Freeway, heading toward Dearborn, and I'm in the slow lane. It's a pickup truck in front of me with the refrigerator on it. It was really, really, really windy. So I look and I see the refrigerator start flipping off the truck, flying to me. So I'm panicking because on my left, the cars are coming. So I'm trying to hurry up and get over to the left lane. Literally, all I can think about is find a destination. Like, oh, my God.

And what happened? Did the fridge hit your car?

No, the fridge did not hit my car. Thank God I was able to get there. But when I said I had to pull over and catch it, like, literally, I pissed my pants off.

Oh, my God. By the way, let me ask you a question. Do you know people that whenever stuff like that happens, like falls off back of trucks, like furniture or, you know, mattresses, refrigerators, they'll stop to go see if it's worthy of grabbing? Like, I know people that will do that. It's like roadside furniture.

There's two kinds of people. It's my worst for death. Yeah. Some people say, I'm going to church. That was lucky. I just miss it. Other people go, oh, I'm going to the scrapyard. I'm going to take that freezer with me.
