No, but we don't really do it. but I do like to give her a couple of things to open up because I thought you did get I'll get some things and she gets mad at me for doing this but I like to get her a couple of things because the boys are opening up gifts and I want her to do it although she does say to me we should just wrap empty boxes because the boys never pay attention to what we got they all just sit there and look at what they got and then when we're opening it up it's like oh what'd you get dude

I know. Spoiled brats. But I was wondering with this, we have our, you know, kids write Santa letters. Okay. So they, you know, it gives an idea for Santa Claus to know exactly what to buy. Yeah. Why don't we do adult Christmas letters? And if anybody does, I'd love to hear about this and how to start it. But I think that if you're in a relationship or if you have brothers and sisters and you're just trying to figure out like how to buy for each other what what do you guys do like this is a great idea and it's a great way to not get crap like to not get stuff that you're going to want to go the day after christmas and go return to the uh the mall that's what amazon wishlists are for amazon wishlists are fun but i'm telling you i still think that they're not fun for kids like you can't have kids doing amazon wishlist when you said adults but big kids i think your amazon wish list is for uh you to you know put things in there that you one day hope to aspire to but i think for others i think you should get down and pen on paper and and write a letter i'm

so curious if you like or hate what me and santa claus do because i know santa claus and he and i went to the mall last weekend and uh the rule is you're allowed to go with the with santa to buy your gifts but you santa will not purchase said gift until you show that you can do a surprised face when you open it so we'll stand at the checkout and do the how did you know you got this you got the exact one that i was asking for before santa buys it that's where i take issue

with this like i think it's a really cute idea to do it for your spouse or whatever just you like like you said mojo don't get crap but i also am kind of hating now where people will ask me what I want, or if I, you know, somebody will tell me exactly what they want, and I'm like, that ruins the fun. There's no surprise. It ruins the fun. There's no surprise. Like, I could just, I'll go out and get what I want, and you go out and get what you want, and then we call it a day instead of us having to wrap it? Like, there's no fun in that.

Okay, my brother and my dad are my two favorite human beings on this planet. I love them more than anything, so before I harp on men, just know these are my favorite people. you do not have a brother and a dad and no girls in your life because when it's just boys, I got it.

Even with Wes, we weren't supposed to do gifts and when we were Christmas shopping for the kids the other day, I would pick up something and he was like, oh, what size do you think that you'd be in that? If I already know what it is, there's no magic in that.

You know what also sucks about boys, though? They have the weirdest gift suggestions. Because my brother, Aaron, he's an engineer. He just asked for a small block compatible with Chevy Chrome timing cover. And I have to figure out where the hell to get that. Get in the zone. Auto zone. At least they gave you ideas. Boys that gave you zero ideas. That looks like a metal toilet seat. What is that? What is he building?

Or the ideas that I'm like, no. Like, my stepson wants welding stuff. And so Wes was like, we need to go get this, this, this, this. This is the stuff he wants. I'm like, no, no, that's not fun.

Can I tell you what is a fun thing to do, guys? And I want everybody to try this at least with one thing. Buy gifts for your significant others that you want to, you know, surprise them with. Then surprise them with this one. Go into their closet, grab something that they have and wrap it up and see if they recognize that they already own the thing. And then if they say, well, oh, like if they get like kind of like a weird look on their face, then finally tell them that you just grabbed something from their closet and wrap it up. What's up, Sam? What do you think of this adult Christmas list?

I love it. And I found myself a game changer in 2019 when I got married. I have a like, you know, we all put notes in our notepad. I have a specific note in there that says Christmas. And every time my husband says, oh, that would be cool to have or, oh, this or that, I put it in there. And now after five years, my husband does it for me so that we actually have, like, 20, 30 items by the end of the year and we're good.

That's actually a great idea. Actually, hold on. Regina says that there is there some kind of an app that does this for you, Regina?

Oh. Yeah, we use Elster.com. Oh, yeah. Elster. Because we actually do, like, Secret Santa as well. So it allows you to be able to, everybody can participate without anybody knowing who has who. And then you also get to pick what you want.

I think you, like Elfster is a great idea. And I think that Amazon wish lists are a great idea. But I think there are sometimes, like even just what Shannon was saying about her and Wes, walking through the mall. Like Chelsea and I walked through the mall. I could see her look at things. And she was not there for the intention of buying her cell phone something. She was buying, you know, the boys stuff. but it made me go okay this is good because i can see what lights are up just not in front of her

So we have like a shiny, something local, self-care, necessity. We usually do five every year. And then so you can make suggestions, but then it's really up to each other of what you get. And it's still a surprise, but you kind of have an idea of what you get. I love that.

So this is actually the reason I do not like Christmas. Man, what happened? They tell each other exactly what to get. They ask for their list. They'll get online and order it, go to the store and buy it. Then they go home, wrap it individually. We go for Christmas Day, pull it from under the tree, and act surprised and ooh and ah.

I know there's no fun in there No, you weren't there for the disappointed Christmas You weren't there on the day they opened a blender And they asked for slippers You weren't there that year And we fixed it I'm there for all the disappointed Christmases now
