All right, it is Mojo in the morning show. So we're going to do this very tongue-in-cheek-like, so if you call us up, we won't make fun of you at all. in our hearts, we are going to love you and hug you, but we are going to chuckle a little bit with you. Adults who play with toys.

00:02:36 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 3:

And not adult toys.

00:02:38 - 00:02:39 | Speaker 7:

No, not adult toys.

00:02:39 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 3:

Okay, and the reason we came up with this topic was I was catching up with an old radio buddy of mine yesterday, and I know that he gets time off for, you know, the Fourth of July holiday just like we do. And so I said, hey, what are you doing for the holiday? Like, what are you doing for your long weekend? What are you doing for vacation? Mind you, he is my age, okay?

00:02:57 - 00:02:58 | Unknown:

I'm 40.

00:02:59 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 3:

So, or the same age. His legit response to me when I asked him that question was, I bought a Fire Super Mario Brothers Lego set, and so I'm going to build that.

00:03:10 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 8:

You guys are laughing.

00:03:12 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 3:

Why are you laughing? No, I just was, I thought he was going to be like, oh, my God, I'm going to go here, whatever. It's a 40-year-old guy. I bought a Fire Super Mario Brothers Lego set. Come on. And I'm going to build it.

00:03:22 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 8:

I have a, I love Legos. I will say, I'll be 80 years old and I will love Legos. I have a Iron Man hand, the Infinity Stone hand in Lego set. I have a Lego guy that looks just like me from a picture of me that I built for Father's Day. I would build Legos all day with this man.

00:03:41 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 3:

See, I like building Legos with my daughter, but this is like, he's a single man.

00:03:47 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 8:

He's doing it.

00:03:48 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 3:

He is a single guy.

00:03:49 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 8:

I did those on my own. I would do it.

00:03:52 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, heck yeah. All right. Well, then I'm not going to judge. It caught me off guard.

00:03:56 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 7:

And we're not going to put video game on this, right?

00:03:58 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, because I feel like that's very normal.

00:04:01 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, video games is, you know, so you're okay, Kevin. And Mike. And you. And me and the man pass and stuff. I will tell you that there is nothing better than having a child. Like, I would love to have somebody in my life like Milo again. I would go back in a second. because I used to love buying toys and the funniest was I would come home from at that time it was Toys R Us and my children would not be interested in the toys that they got because I would be the one that would pick them out for myself. And we would come home and Chelsea would go oh my god this is so sweet you bought a bunch of toys for the kids and then all of a sudden you get Jacob or Joe. Now dad bought these. But it was I lived vicariously through my kids because I would see them play and I don't know if you do this with your children mike and kevin and even shannon but when you see them playing like

00:05:00 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 6:

Barbie do you ever look at the Barbie stuff they have nowadays so I love I do love getting like playing on the floor with the kids I love when Lucy has like jewelry making kits and stuff like that I love that stuff I played with Barbies until the summer before my freshman year in high school I loved Barbies I cannot play Barbies why I don't know why I will play anything else with her but when she's like will you come play Barbies with me I'm like oh I just I don't know what it is and i was such a barbie fan um do you think it's because she makes the rules and makes it like not my sisters are probably screaming at the car radio right now because yes she said that i was always my sisters would say that i was always like the rich barbie and they had to be

00:05:43 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 5:

my servants so they hated playing barbies with me so you're right megan it's probably because i don't get to make the rules and i have to be the servant now anytime i play with my little cousins

00:05:54 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 6:

And so I realized they don't want you to play. They want you to sit there and watch them play. That's exactly right.

00:06:00 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 4:

Or play how they play. You have to do what they do.

00:06:03 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, so you know what my out is with that? I give her the iPad, and I'm like, you should film yourself for, like, a YouTube video playing Barbies. And she loves it.

00:06:11 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 3:

That's funny. Mojo in the morning. Nick, hi. We're talking about adults who still play with toys.

00:06:18 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, hey, how's it going? I have an ungodly amount of Lego Star Wars sets in my apartment.

00:06:24 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Nick, the man. Do you have to hide those when you have people come over?

00:06:30 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 4:

No, no. They're front and present. I mean, if you don't like it, then you don't have to be in here. Really?

00:06:36 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 3:

So do you ever take time off from work to play with your Legos?

00:06:43 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 4:

I wouldn't use the word play, but I definitely take time off to build.

00:06:48 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 3:

Yes. To build. I'm sorry. You don't play with Legos. You build Legos. Be respectful. There's no pants flying with them. All right. Well, thank you for the call. Nothing more relaxing. Yeah, thank you. Hey, take care of yourself.

00:07:01 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 9:

No!

00:07:01 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 3:

No. You know what it's like?

00:07:03 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Kevin, you remember when we put together those bracelets and we're like, man, this is really calming. That's what putting together Legos is like.

00:07:09 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 1:

This is what I will say. I am infatuated with the show Lego Masters. I don't know if you guys have heard of this or have seen this, but it's like a competitive Lego. It's amazing.

00:07:17 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I watched it for about five seconds, and I said, all right, these guys are smart because they're making money doing it. The people that can truly do it, making money. What's going on, Chris?

00:07:26 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 9:

Hey, boss, what's up?

00:07:28 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 3:

Oh, come on. You can't call up and say, hey, boss, what's up, and then tell me that you play with toys.

00:07:32 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 9:

I do, absolutely. I have a single father to a soon-to-be six-year-old, and he spends three nights a week at his mother's house. When he's not there, I miss him, so I play with his toys.

00:07:43 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

00:07:44 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 6:

Wait, that's okay. I'll give you the pass, because we miss him.

00:07:47 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's my boy. That's okay because That's completely off topic Shannon's nerd friend Who has no children He should be volunteering His time with children or something

00:08:00 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 6:

No girlfriend, no wife

00:08:01 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 3:

Oh really? Is it who I know it is? Starts with a K Can we call him out? He sent me a text the other day And caught up with me And talked about how crazy things are

00:08:14 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 6:

He's on the air or else I would say call him Because he will nerd out about Lego

00:08:19 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 3:

Understaffed, overworked, goes home and plays with his Legos. What's up, Tiffany?

00:08:24 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 7:

Hey, Mojo.

00:08:25 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

00:08:27 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 7:

I have a friend's Lego set myself.

00:08:30 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? I didn't know that there's beautiful ladies like yourself playing with Legos.

00:08:36 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, it's still in the box, but I haven't opened it yet. So once I open it, I do have a daughter, so she will probably participate. But, yeah, I love the show Friends. And so I saw that Lego set, I was like, I got to get it.

00:08:50 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 3:

Were you also a Lego person growing up, or was you just a Friends fan?

00:08:56 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 7:

Both. I enjoy Legos. My daughter, she does, too.

00:09:00 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 3:

Because I was going to say, you probably could have bought the Friends coffee mugs.

00:09:04 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 6:

Tiffany, that Friends experience has come into Great Lakes Crossing. I think it opens this time. Is it really? Yeah. I'm pretty sure it opens today.

00:09:09 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 3:

I did the experience in Chicago, which was kind of cool. You take pictures on what's the set.

00:09:13 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 6:

The set and the props, and you can recreate the scenes. That's kind of cool. Yeah.

00:09:17 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 3:

Rachel wants to call out her 38-year-old husband. What's up, Rachel?

00:09:21 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 8:

Hi. Yes, my husband turns 38 next month, and he's been playing Zelda since it released last month. And he also pre-orders all of the AmiBuddies that come out for the different video games. So we have all these little figurines around our house that help him unlock certain things in the game.

00:09:41 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 3:

Does he also get the grass mowed at a certain time and shovel the snow in the wintertime? Like, does he do all the household stuff?

00:09:50 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 8:

Yes, he does. To be honest, after playing Breath of the Wild, I can honestly see how easy it is to become addicted. Have you played it? I have not played it. I just...

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 7:

watch him steal it from him it's so much fun let me ask you this question does he play with you

00:10:04 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 6:

oh absolutely he does okay so do you ever have to call him from playing and say hey give me a little bit of the the love that you've been giving those toys sometimes yeah all right where do you guys keep them do you have a special area in your house that you keep the toys uh he's he leaves them in the office usually like on the bookshelf okay that's cool listen to melissa here melissa wants to call out her her 86 year old grandpa dad what's up uh melissa good morning good morning

00:10:37 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 8:

um i'm just calling because oh this struck a chord with me because you might like you said my dad is 86 and he's played with trains all his life he's obsessed i think i think trains you can

00:10:49 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 6:

get away with for some reason that was like an old person thing they turned into a hobby

00:10:54 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 8:

Truly. So his life event now was he just got on oxygen and he was devastated because he was on oxygen. But the oxygen company found 500 foot of cording or tubing so he could get to his train.

00:11:08 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 6:

So, wait, they had to ask for extra long tubing for his oxygen just to be able to reach around those things? Yeah. Oh, okay. Well, that's nice that he can still play with it.

00:11:19 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 8:

Exactly. Darth Vader at his best.

00:11:21 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 6:

Wait, is it okay for him to have that oxygen tank around all those trains? Like a spark's not going to cause any issues, is it?

00:11:28 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 8:

Oh, no. And they smoke and they make noise and there's 50 million gauges and every kind of thing.

00:11:34 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 6:

My thing back in the day was like the race cars and they would have race car tracks that you'd set up. Like micro machines?

00:11:42 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 4:

Did you like micro machines or Hot Wheels?

00:11:43 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 6:

It was Hot Wheels, but it was like the ones. I had loved Hot Wheels cars. Like I loved all those. but I also had the race tracks where it was the stupid track that would just go all the way and you'd push a button and that was it but your thing was to try to make the track as long as you possibly could and then when your mom told you that you had to clean up because you had friends coming over or neighbors coming over you were like, do they have to?

00:12:09 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 7:

But the Hot Wheels never goes away because Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live is coming to the Huntington Center and my 36-year-old brother said can you get his tickets? Can we go to that please?

00:12:19 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 6:

Don't you love when you have family members that will ask for that stuff and then you go, God, now I've got to go to sales and ask them for a favor.

00:12:27 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 1:
