All right, it's Mojo in the morning. Yesterday, we did a More Mojo podcast, which was hosted by producer Lydia, where she was talking about how she picks topics, and we were kind of going back and forth. But one thing that was brought up, and by the way, go listen to that More Mojo podcast. It's our after show podcast on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get podcasts. Just search More Mojo. Well, we talked about something with our topics that weren't chosen about one of Megan's topics that wasn't chosen, and it was a very compelling topic. So we want to do it right now.

00:02:35 - 00:02:35 | Speaker 6:

Can you say that one more time?

00:02:36 - 00:02:38 | Speaker 7:

It was a Megan topic, and it was very compelling.

00:02:38 - 00:02:39 | Speaker 6:

So you think my topics are good.

00:02:39 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 7:

It was good.

00:02:40 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 5:

You think my topics are good. We were all like, why wasn't that chosen, and we want to know more? Me too.

00:02:46 - 00:02:58 | Speaker 7:

Lydia had a good point of why she didn't choose it. For sure. So you can listen to it on the More Mojo podcast platform. but it deals with um a friend of yours that had a little uh issue in their relationship correct so

00:02:58 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 6:

a friend of mine had her first child with her husband within i mean the baby's close to like a year right maybe a little bit over i feel like we've already had the first birth whatever that doesn't matter young baby let's just know that there's a young baby in the household and she's pretty newly married well she just found out that her husband was cheating on her and probably what i would imagine is one of the worst way possible because she's a stay-at-home mom she's not currently employed and she found out her husband was cheating when he was fired for his job for breaking his morality clause by cheating with a co-worker oh wow so both people both people in that job situation got let go and that's how their spouses found out that they were cheating so now she found out her husband is cheating on her she has no income he has no income and she has no means to leave her marriage she's now stuck trying to figure out how they're going to pay the bills

00:03:59 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 7:

together and cannot file for divorce wow it's it's unbelievable this is one of those situations where and we've said this before with war of the roses if you cheat with a co-worker or if you end up getting in a relationship with like your boss or something like that and somebody's going to lose their job you're not only going to lose your job but you're potentially you're going to or i'm sorry you're not only going to lose your relationship you're not which is probably more important than your job but you could lose a double whammy in this situation

00:04:25 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 3:

you lose your uh income your income unrelated but related this is why i will forever tell my daughter you gotta have your own you're done don't be relying on no man to take care of you because anything could pop up and you don't want to be sitting there assed out

00:04:40 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 6:

yeah i think it's tough when you have the kid though like the it's a baby you know i think a lot of women leave their jobs for even if it's like the first year yeah kind of take care of

00:04:53 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

the baby yeah that's uh that's crazy has anybody any 844 mojo live 844-665-6548

00:05:00 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 3:

Has anybody ever been part of something like this where they found out that their spouse was cheating but then also found out that the cheating came out at work and the person ended up getting fired?

00:05:12 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 5:

Bro, that's heavy.

00:05:13 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's a big one.

00:05:13 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 5:

Now, what if they lose the cars, the house? You could financially drain yourself before you get divorced.

00:05:19 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 3:

Is she going to stay with his ass?

00:05:21 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 5:

She has no options right now. I'm about to say. I feel really terrible for her. They're more worried about selling the house and not going through a foreclosure, which will then affect both of them moving forward, trying to find living situations once they do inevitably split up. But things are not good because they are stuck together and he's home all the time because he doesn't have a job.

00:05:44 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Don't you almost feel and I hate to say this because she didn't deserve this, but don't you think it's karma for what it's karma for him? No, karma for him. like him him and her and the boss you know it's it's it's kind of i i think that the the karma goes full circle if she just says you know what enough i'll find a family member that will help

00:06:05 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 5:

me out or something like that yeah but that's relying on financial resources of your loved ones and she doesn't have a well-off family why wasn't this guy saving any money at all or why weren't they saving any money they're a young couple it's really hard to save right now

00:06:19 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 3:

you know what she's young enough though i tell her this is the time just make the move cut the umbilical cord what is she gonna do her name is on the house well i cut the kick his ass out and and then figure it out and you know what there's i would just do you want to stay in a relationship with this guy if if he's doing this she's financially stuck what's up susan hi i was in

00:06:42 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 4:

a marriage for 20 years had three little daughters two twins that were in kindergarten my husband cheated on me and when we went to mediation they set up the child support and the alimony and everything and it wasn't enough for me to pay my bills and the mediator said well you need to get

00:07:03 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 3:

yourself a job and i had little kids question did he lose his job was it with a co-worker

00:07:09 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 4:

no he didn't lose his job it was with a co-worker it was but she got transferred and I had a PPO. I couldn't even go to the post office. Wait, why?

00:07:20 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 3:

Because it was a postal worker? Yeah. Oh, geez. Wait, postal people are cheating with each other, huh? Oh, yeah. Are they male drivers, like, you know, delivery people, or are they sort and male?

00:07:40 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 4:

Male and a female sub.

00:07:43 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 3:

Okay, wow. Can you still not go to a post office? Because that would suck for your bill.

00:07:49 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 4:

No, my kids are grown now. That's been 15 years ago. But it was pretty rough in the beginning. But I had to get a job just to support my children because the way I was living, my house payment was less or more than child support.

00:08:06 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 3:

So for Megan's friend, what do you suggest? That she gets out into the workforce?

00:08:14 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 5:

Uh, see, that's hard because you want to raise your children, you know? And the price of childcare right now, especially for a baby, it's like, can you bring in more income than you're going to pay in childcare?

00:08:26 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 3:

Should she stay with this guy, you think?

00:08:30 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 4:

Well, she should maybe stay for a little while, figure it out and then get out.

00:08:35 - 00:08:35 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:08:35 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 4:

Because he's not going to change.

00:08:37 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 1:

And I know when it comes to a lot of young couples, which I don't know if this is their situation, but this has happened to one or two, actually, I think friends of mine where they got married like right out of college. And so she never ended up getting a job or entering the workforce because they had kids right away. So she had a resume of nothing. It was like the job she held in high school and like a waitressing job in college where like she needed to go out and get a career in order to support, you know, her now two kids, well, three kids and pay the bills and stuff and it was so tough for her. What's up Nick? Hey how's it going? Good what's

00:09:14 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 2:

going on? So my stepdad actually cheated on my mom or he's the next stepdad but my ex-stepdad cheated on my mom multiple times with like women he was a factory worker so he uh I feel like it's kind of a stereotype he hits that so my mom found out because my little brother was sitting at the table with us uh eating dinner and then he was like my mom my dad took us to go see her friend or his friend at work so yeah it was kind of fun to uh to kind of sit through that my mom went through his phone kind of seen things through and then like throughout the years she kind of seen more and more and then finally that kind of led to the divorce that's wild so your little

00:09:50 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 3:

brother actually went to see this woman that your dad was cheating with uh he actually seen a couple

00:09:57 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 2:

he funny enough my stepdad took him to see two different women he kind of snitched on her twice oh my god that's bold he's bringing his kids around the whole situation oh yeah definitely bold uh and what's up it's mojo in

00:10:10 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 4:

the morning hi ann hey hi so um my dad actually had an affair on my mom they were both co's at a

00:10:20 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 2:

prison and what's that what is the seat what is that correctional officer correctional officer

00:10:24 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 4:

A corrections officer, yeah. So he had convinced her to quit cursing her mom and take care of me. So, like, two weeks into it, she found out he was having an affair with an inmate of the prison. And he ended up losing his job. He lost everything. And she lost everything.

00:10:43 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Wait, your dad was having an affair with the inmate? That had to be, like, a big issue, huh?

00:10:49 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 4:

Can't he go to jail for that? So nowadays you can go to jail for it. But this was, like, back in, like, the early 90s. Wow. So it really wasn't much of a thing yet. But, yeah, he lost everything. Back then it was fine.

00:11:03 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 2:

He could do whatever he wanted. That's crazy.

00:11:05 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 4:

He lost his job in everything.

00:11:06 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 2:

I love the 90s.

00:11:07 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 4:

And when they went to court, the judge had asked, you know, what did you do? Meaning, like, what was his job? And he thought that they meant, like, what did you get fired for? And he just busted it all out on the table in front of the judge. And instantly she was like, the mother gets full custody and child support.

00:11:24 - 00:11:24 | Unknown:

Wow.

00:11:25 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing, though, that both are correctional officers, and she had no idea that that was going on. I wonder if there was any sense of that. I wonder if they was at the same prison. Initial P is on with us right now. It wants to be Voices, guys, because, P, what happened?

00:11:41 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. So I was working at this well-known cell phone company and started having an affair with this married woman. Her husband found out and borrowed money from his sister to download the app and put my number in there and found out my address. They got to call at work, and work was monitoring the cause, and sometimes the cause used to have to escalate the cause to her department, and she would answer the phone, and we would be saying different stuff on the phone, and they heard us. And, yeah, a lot of stuff.

00:12:16 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 2:

So what happened? Get right to the point of your story. So did you lose your job? Yeah. So you lost your job having an affair with a coworker at a cell phone company.

00:12:26 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 5:

Wow. Yeah.

00:12:28 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 2:

And did you guys have families? Yes. Oh, man.

00:12:35 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 5:

What did you tell your significant other? When they came over to my house. What happened when they came to the house? i didn't open the door i actually called the police to ask them what i could do but your family was inside with you right no my girl was at work at the time

00:12:55 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 2:

megan brought up a quick question say that again megan um what did you tell your significant other

00:13:01 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 5:

when you got fired i just lost my job and you told her that you cheated no he ain't saying that It's a recession.

00:13:13 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 2:

Cell phone sales are down, baby. It's the market. It ain't me. But what about those people pounding on the door? Those bill collectors? I don't know who they are. Those are booty collectors. Those are junk witnesses. They're getting aggressive. Well, I guess if you're going to lie about the cheating, you might as well lie about why you got fired. That would probably be okay. Michelle wants to make a comment about your friend. Last comment on this one. And Megan's friend, whose husband cheated with a co-worker only to lose his job. And now her friend is sitting there with a guy that cheated on her that has no gig. What's going on, Michelle?

00:13:49 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 3:

Hi. I just want to make a quick comment. I know I am a little older, but this girl needs to get out of this marriage. It might be inconvenient. It might be financially hard. But get a divorce. She can get help.

00:14:03 - 00:14:05 | Speaker 2:

All right. Thank you for the call.

00:14:05 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 3:

With one name.

00:14:06 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 2:

money that's that's the problem maybe that's what we're saying maybe a family member or somebody here's the deal let's hope they go to counseling first before they do anything because maybe the counseling can help them in the situation you see people that cheat that actually get through it but i uh i think that she shouldn't just allow for him to just continue to just can you know get away with the fact that he cheated but thank you absolutely thank you for the call appreciate it all right that was the topic that we didn't do that we just did and you can hear more about what how we pick topics on the show by going to listen to yesterday's more mojo podcast
