thing happen to me yesterday that I would like to bring up right now, but it may cause some problems. But if it's okay, I'm going to do it right now because I contemplated when I was putting topics together for today's show, do I talk about alligator arms? Do you know my friend alligator arms? My friend alligator arms is an amazing guy he looks like this he's like that he got the little armies I was invited to lunch by a guy who asked if he could go out with me to lunch he said he said hey can we go to lunch together I want to show you a new business thing that I'm doing and I want to get your open and honest opinion on whether or not you think people would be into this and so we ended up meeting up from lunch after I got done with our taping and editing and all that stuff yesterday. And we had a very nice lunch. He showed me the stuff. It was actually pretty interesting and I think it will do well and I won't say exactly what it is yet because it's obviously not unveiled yet. And then he exposed his alligator arms.

I did not know what alligator arms was until this moment.

So we're sitting there hanging out, and mind you, I spend an hour and a half or so with this guy, and the bill comes, and the waitress puts the bill down on the table, and I am always quick to just grab the bill.

You sometimes do it, and truly, I don't even know that the bill has come. You're slick.

You guys get mad at me at times, which honestly, I do it because of one particular reason. One is, I buy my friends. no i do it because i always hate the fight over everybody trying to split bills so i'm like you know what i'll just pick up the damn bill whatever okay so this bill comes and i say to myself self he invited you for a purpose of showing you something he was going to take your time you know to to show you this thing so the bill comes it sits there on the table and we're hanging and we're hanging and i'm like i really want to go but he hasn't made an effort to go pick up the tab and do anything with the tab so i'm like okay what do i do what do i do i sat there and then he goes i gotta go to the bathroom and he's like what's that i'm sorry oh you're talking to her okay

So he got up and went to the bathroom. And I sat there while he was going to the bathroom. And I'm like going, all right, what do I do? And it got me thinking, because I have not dated in forever. Chelsea and I have been married for a long time, and we got together a long time ago. I have not been able to be alive and dating when there's been things like Venmos and stuff. What do you do when you, and I had no cash on me, which sucked. If I had cash, I would have put money down and just done it. But what do you have to do if you're on a date? Do you wait for the other person to say, hey, let's split it? Or do you say, let's split it? I was trying to figure that out. I'm thinking, well, I don't think I should split it. I think he should be taking me on a date.

Well, that's what I was going to say, because I want to reiterate that part, unless I misunderstood you. This was a meeting for something that he wanted to talk to you about. So in that case, I feel like he should be paid.

Just clear. That's what I thought, too.

You're like paying for the advice with a meal and a good time. You are doing something kind for him.

Yeah. Honestly, that's what I kind of thought, too. And so I'm trying to figure this thing out. I'm trying to think of what do I do, and I'm uncomfortable. Finally, he comes back from the bathroom. He sits down, and the check is literally sitting right in front of us. And the waitress kept coming back to fill up our waters and then even said, is there anything else I can get you? When a waiter or a waitress comes back three times and says, is there anything else I can get you?

That's basically a cue for get the F out of my seat. And from his vantage point, he thought when he went to the bathroom, by the time he came back, you would have already paid. I think that's what he was thinking. He was shocked when he sat down and the bill was still there.

Yeah. So finally, I pull out my wallet, and I put my credit card down, and Alligator Arms did nothing. And he goes, oh, man, thanks. I'll get the next one. I'm like, oh, that's bull crap. You are such a load of crap. I don't believe anything. There's a jet stream of bulls**t coming out of your mouth, my friend.

You are busted.

Yeah. I thought, there's no way he's going to. He should have picked up this one. So I asked this question of you, guys. What do you do if you're out with friends or whatever? How do you do this? when you or if you're out with somebody do you just say hey i'm gonna pay my do should i verbalized

it or what should i said um there's so many factors we just went this just happened to us because kp myself zach and lydia all went out because i wanted to get the dollar marks at applebee's which they they first off the lady didn't want to give them to us she said it's it's low-key a secret it's not on the menu because we're not supposed to serve them then they cap you at three which is a whole nother literally just passed an applebee's the other day and there was sign a sign for it yes there was signage for it she was on something from the time we set out um but i did like i wanted to pay for everybody everybody like no and then multiple cards come out everybody got a split you have to verbalize it though yeah

yeah it's so funny dollar marks i got everybody's drinks Yeah. Four drinks? Yeah, for sure. Four dollars? Yeah. Oh, there's a big shot over there. I got a damn margarita. Who wants a margarita? I didn't say we was balling. I just said I'll buy y'all drinks. That's all I said. KB, I didn't even think about that. That's all I said. That's so funny. I got you all. So I can only pay when it costs $12? Oh, my God. What's going on?

Ungrateful, bastards. One year, we went to Vegas for the I Heart Radio Music Festival, and you guys were all so very kind and everybody was picking up every bill and nobody would let me pay for anything and you feel like a leech. At a certain point, you feel terrible and I don't want to go to dinner with you. If I'm not going to pay for something, it feels like I'm the sympathy invite around here, guys. Remember when we went to the Taco Bell cantina and I had to fight for the bill and I literally yelled out, this is the only time I'm going to be able to afford a meal for everybody. Please let me find this one. That was so funny.
