This is Mojo in the Morning live.

00:01:54 - 00:02:06 | Speaker 7:

All right, it was Mojo in the Morning. and it's time now for Am I the A-Hole this morning. Am I the A-Hole is an interesting one. Casey, you do not want to be voice disguised or you do want to be voice disguised?

00:02:08 - 00:02:11 | Speaker 2:

I'm fine without disguising my voice.

00:02:11 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 7:

No voice disguised here. Is Casey an A-Hole for doing what he is doing in preparation for something very interesting? So tell everybody what you got going on.

00:02:24 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 2:

yes so my um one of my best friends uh is uh he he's in the process of going through a divorce getting ready to go to you know he met with a divorce attorney and uh i he like just to support him i was like you're my boy i'll go with you and so i went and uh went with him to the attorney's office. Um, I'm married also. And so, uh, as I was there and listening to, you know, what was going down, uh, I was like, huh. And he, he was trying to convince me I should get my divorce papers ready just in case. Are you thinking about divorcing your wife? No, not at all. Me and my wife everything's great um you know like we there's no problems but like that's also with the case with my buddy and so I'm like if if you know if everything can seem perfect for him and everything's perfect for me right now I don't know just like in preparation I was like why not just be a little proactive in case there ever was an issue with my wife

00:03:34 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 7:

so you're not necessarily in a bad spot with your wife but you're using the free legal advice you potentially could get to be prepared just in case you get into a bad spot with your wife

00:03:49 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 2:

right exactly and uh so they drew up some papers and i have them in my car and they're like

00:03:57 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 5:

lock and key you know put away papers of just like it's like fat like facts or advice or seeing

00:04:03 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 2:

like what like just like what a contract would look like in case something were to go down you know why would you do that it was just you know solely precautionary just you know i don't know i think maybe my buddy's voice got in my ear and i'm just kind of wondering if i'm being an a-hole

00:04:22 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 5:

I would throw those away as fast as you possibly could. If everything is really great between you and your wife right now, like, I don't know.

00:04:32 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 7:

Shannon, have you ever heard the saying, divorce is contagious? Sometimes people who get divorced or have friends that get divorced, sometimes they want to have friends.

00:04:42 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

I understand, but he had no reason to do what he did. I think you were a great friend to go with. And I think that it's natural curiosity if you're in the room and a discussion is happening to be like, oh, you know, I didn't know that you should stay in the house or like, that's very natural. But for you to take it a step further and have papers drawn up and

00:05:00 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 8:

and keep them, to me, if I found that in Wes's glove compartment or whatever, that would completely change our entire relationship right now.

00:05:12 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 4:

It sends a bad message to her that you don't think that your relationship is strong.

00:05:18 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 6:

I think it's strong. I know it's strong. I just, yeah, I mean, seeing what my buddy's going through, it's just, you know, it's really hard. and he, you know, I've had other friends who've gone through it and weren't prepared at all and just got their butts handed to them, so.

00:05:36 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 4:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Bill wants to comment. Bill, do you think that Casey's an a-hole for this?

00:05:44 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 5:

I think he's an idiot. What if his wife is listening or friends?

00:05:47 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 4:

Right, that's why I said, should we voice disguise you or not use your name, you know?

00:05:51 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God, you idiot! I mean, I know, I know. It's like, how stupid are these people that dial into you, Mojo?

00:05:57 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 4:

Well, I don't know. I wouldn't call him stupid because we love them for calling, but I definitely gave him the option ahead of time. But here's the bigger question. Do you think that that's bad karma for him to even have these things? Yes. Yeah. I think that he's got to be careful. Like, I agree with what Shannon said. Hey, knowledge is power, so it's kind of good to know what the story is, but you shouldn't have to just know it because you think it's going to happen to you. Know it just for the sake of knowing it. What's going on? Am I the a-hole? Do you think that Casey's an a-hole?

00:06:30 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I do.

00:06:32 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Do you think he's going to be faced with some issues if she catches on to this?

00:06:37 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 7:

No. The fact of the matter is he's making it worse. He's going to think about it all day, every day.

00:06:43 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 8:

Yes. Yep.

00:06:45 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 7:

That's what I don't understand. Why would he even do that? He's like he's a follower.

00:06:49 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:06:49 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 7:

And he's also having any problems. I'm sorry.

00:06:52 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 4:

Are you having any problems, Casey? That's a good question.

00:06:56 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 6:

No, I mean, we're all good.

00:07:00 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 7:

Not a chance. You're making it like you're having problems. Yeah. No, no, no.

00:07:06 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 6:

I love my wife. She's great. She doesn't listen to the radio.

00:07:13 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 7:

Cut into it, Jay. You say you love her, buddy. But you filed for divorce and she don't even know about it. I didn't file for divorce.

00:07:22 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 6:

You got papers drawn, no. I just, it just, it's like a precaution in case something were to come up. Like, I don't want to, you know, I've got my assets to protect and my, you know, I don't want to be.

00:07:35 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 7:

Anyhow, she's going to get anything she deserves anyway, because you probably got kids. The papers ain't going to mean nothing.

00:07:45 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I mean, I don't know. I'm starting to rethink it a little bit, but.

00:07:50 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 3:

And I think the big thing here is if things are fine and she finds this, you've just caused a huge problem that might end your marriage when you absolutely don't even want to at this point.

00:08:02 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 4:

Lisa, what's up? Am I the a-hole?

00:08:04 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my. This is like the worst thing that you could do. As a woman, in finding those papers, it's irreparable. Yeah. There's no going back.

00:08:16 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Kyle, what's going on? Am I the a-hole? What are your thoughts?

00:08:20 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 5:

uh so i don't think that it's wrong to be prepared my buddy his what him and his wife everything was fine and then he found out i don't know how long it was but her girls trips were down to florida and she was cheating on him the whole time every time that they would leave wow i don't think it's wrong to be prepared but holding the papers around that's uh that's a risky move that's

00:08:48 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 4:

interesting so your buddy actually had to do exactly this what's up ashley hi hi good morning

00:08:53 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 2:

good morning um yeah i definitely think you're being a bit of an a-hole there's uh definitely two different ways to go about this and be prepared if you're that worried and you don't want your butt handed to you if something were to happen down the road get a prenup put it all on paper that way instead of carrying around divorcing too late for that now he's already married but you can still do a prenup after you're married really what made you decide to do a prenup after marriage uh we sat down and talked in with uh his military benefits and all of that we just figured it'd be better just to make sure all the kids get what they need and then i get what i need and there's no fight if something were to happen and going to courts and all that it's on paper the dad figured it all out and i sat there and helped him with it wow when we're happy there's nothing wrong with being prepared but divorce papers that's that's a big no no

00:09:49 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 4:

that's interesting i've never heard of somebody after the fact that uh that got a uh got a prenup um casey am i the a-hole i gotta be honest with you i think what channon said with this

00:10:00 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 1:

these papers i'd get rid of those things right now those things would be in a the lock most locked safety deposit box in another state or just rip them up shred them yeah get rid of those things don't like the weather and just wait 10 minutes you're listening to mojo in the morning the first season of the x games league is ending in new orleans and only one team walks away champion july 24th through 26th at the caesar superdome watch the world's best skaters bmx riders and moto athletes battle for the title plus live performances from metro booming jid subtronics and bunt three days of sport and music get your tickets now at xgames.com
