All right, it is Mojo in the morning, home of War of the Roses, second date update, and the Dirty on the 30. Kevin from the show had something that happened when you were picking Josiah up at school.

00:01:47 - 00:01:47 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:01:48 - 00:01:49 | Speaker 2:

And what happened?

00:01:49 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 1:

So I need y'all help to tell me which way to go about this, even if that way is to go nowhere at all. but Josiah is in academic games now so when he used to get out of school at 3 20 they now get out at five o'clock so I set an alarm took a nap woke up from my nap left the house at about four or something like that to give me enough time to get there look at my phone while I'm in the car and I see like four missed calls from a number that's not saved but the voicemail has a name and it's the same name for every missed call so as I'm driving I click it and it's a pause and I hear Josiah's voice I'm like oh no like four missed calls same numbers Josiah's voice apparently academic games was canceled and he was calling me with more than enough time for me to hear the voicemail and be there at the proper time so he's just been standing out in front of the school or in the office and all of that so my mind is like well what type of communication did I receive from the school to tell me that it was canceled and why didn't I get that communication and so i'm i'm a little frustrated i'm a little angry but more than anything i'm like my son is there and i should have been there i feel like a bad father so when i get out of the car and run into the office i'm one track mind like i want to know make sure josiah is safe because regardless if your child is safe or not you don't feel like they're safe until you can physically see them with your own eyes so my my whole mindset is like let me go in there and put my eyes on my son make sure he's good and then let me address the office and figure out why wasn't i alerted so i'm in there i'm like i'm on i'm on i'm you know i'm focused so i go in there and i'm usually like what's up beautiful people when i go into the office i've been there a few times yeah i'll be nice make sure everybody's good so when i walk in there it ain't none of that right i'm like josiah yeah but the office is like you did not tell us all the cool things you did you didn't tell us you were on the mojo in the morning show you do like they're all and i'm like that's nice but my real job is this guy right here i i despise you like i literally was like yeah but this is my job right here and why wasn't i notified i said it sometimes i can be very diplomatic and figure out a nice way to use my words you're upset you're angry but then other times it's just straightforward and then when i got in the car i was like man i felt kind of rude joe i felt like he was like yeah you were kind of rude you totally ignored everything so I was talking to Josiah's mom about this and with me being rude I wanted to figure out a way to tell the office that I'm sorry but I didn't want to like I wanted it to be kind of organic in a way like I don't want to just walk in and say hey guys by the way I'm so sorry about how I acted so I was like let me just send them an edible arrangement like let me send the office an edible arrangement with the little card inside that you can type up and say hey apologies for the she was like nice gesture You might be thinking What his mom is thinking His mom is like don't send an edible Enrangement because that's sexual

00:04:49 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 1:

Wait what? This is what she said She said if you send a woman Fruit and she did Preface it by saying in her mind If

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 3:

would be viewed as like oh he he want to eat me oh my god if you're sending it to a group of women

00:05:05 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 5:

okay i don't know what it is about edible arrangements i don't know if it's that kev or sexual but like i think if you sent subs or lunch or some sort of donuts something to the office even if it's food related oh thank you well i was thinking like i don't know if there thing here are like jersey you can get those like half subs to like cater like you could do that for all of the teachers and stuff yeah that's what i mean yeah um but something about an edible arrangement is weirdly i'm gonna get a piece of cantaloupe what's wrong with that but it's like

00:05:43 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 7:

intimate i don't know you i disagree with that i think it's just i i'm not gonna nobody's gonna get anything except for a piece of fruit on a stick and so in my mind it's not so much that

00:05:55 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 3:

You need to eat. Disappointment kickoff. It's the gesture. No. Do you know what I mean? It's me telling you I care.

00:06:02 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 4:

So go back. So Josiah's mom said to you that she doesn't like the idea of you doing it, or she gives you the advice of don't do it because it's sexual descent and edible arrangement.

00:06:14 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 3:

Right.

00:06:15 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 4:

That's an interesting thought. But I kind of get what Shannon's saying where she's like, yeah, you know, when those things come in. It's like, who wants to eat a bunch of cantaloupe? You know what I mean?

00:06:26 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 3:

I like it. I feel you. So she gave me another option, though.

00:06:31 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 4:

I like Megan's idea of doing the lunch thing, because everybody loves lunch. That's too expensive. I'm not trying to feed everybody.

00:06:37 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 7:

I said donuts, and you didn't even acknowledge it.

00:06:39 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 3:

Donuts is a great one, too. But I feel like a lot of people are, like, so conscious with the amount of sweets that they intake. I feel like a lot of people are like, donuts aren't the way to go. I could be weird. What was your other option? So she was like, send them

00:06:53 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 5:

flowers i'm like that's exactly what i said it depends on the flower like it's i think i mean we are the home of war the roses roses are romantic but i uh i sent chelsea flowers recently

00:07:05 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 3:

and it was not a woman no that's woman a woman if a guy sends any woman a flower i think is romantic and if you can get into the well red roses are love and white roses are friendship and yellow roses like a flower is a flower at a certain point i feel like when a guy is giving it to a member of the office.

00:07:21 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 6:

But you're giving it to an entire office staff that they're just going to put on the front desk anyway. And you can do like fun flowers. Yeah.

00:07:28 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 4:

Real quick before we get into what you should send or no send. Did we figure out why you didn't get the correspondence of Josiah not having his thing?

00:07:37 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I didn't check my email. They did send the email at like 1 p.m. I didn't realize. So you came in blazing. I did. That's why you're truly saying that. Who just runs to check an email like that? I don't know. I was expressing, I thought it was going to be a text message.

00:07:51 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 4:

Pam, what's going on?

00:07:54 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 8:

Hey, so, Kevin, you shouldn't send anything. A school should either call you or text you. Nobody checks emails all day long. Agreed. I don't think you owe them anything. You were supposed to be angry. Your son was standing there forever.

00:08:11 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 3:

It's not his own fault. How long was he there? I mean, I didn't get him until five. The normal time I was supposed to get him.

00:08:16 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 4:

And he gets out of school at three? So he was two hours in the front office? That's your fault. These ladies babysat for two hours, though.

00:08:22 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 8:

Who checks emails? Oh, no. No, no, no, no.

00:08:26 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 5:

I will not tolerate this when I get so much flack for not checking my mail, and you don't check something that goes to your phone that's in your hand or on your body 24-7? Absolutely not. And then when you see who it's talking, I'm like, this is no.

00:08:43 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 4:

Schools, by the way, with our kids, our schools would always send an alert text out. That's what I'm saying.

00:08:49 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 2:

Where's the robocall?

00:08:50 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, Amanda?

00:08:53 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 2:

Hi. So about the edible arrangement, I had actually sent one to a co-worker's funeral before, and I didn't think they were sexual, but I'm thinking if people do find that sexual, I'm so glad I did not attend that funeral.

00:09:07 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 4:

I know. That would be weird, wouldn't it?

00:09:10 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I never heard back, so maybe that's why.

00:09:14 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 4:

That's interesting that people think that that's a sexual thing to do, to send an edible arrangement. I could see if the fruit was like bananas and chocolate-covered strawberries and stuff like that. What's up, Mojo? Hey, listen to that voice. Who's this? This is Bill. Hey, Bill, what's going on?

00:09:30 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Bill. You should absolutely send those incredible edibles. I mean, those things are amazing with any kind of apology. Okay, now, if a girl is talking about it sounds sexual to her, Yeah, maybe you might send her something just for the hell of it.

00:09:48 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

By the way, Bill, they should make edible arrangements for the people that own the weed shops. Oh, man.

00:10:00 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 5:

That'd be a great idea.

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 4:

In case of the munchies, that's bad. You need to patent that dog. Man.

00:10:07 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 5:

00:10:19 - 00:10:24 | Unknown:

00:10:24 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 4:

It's too perfect, man.

00:10:26 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 5:

Don't worry about your edible arrangements all your life.
