This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:01:36 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 3:

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, people in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be that you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four-year.

It's Mojo on the morning show. So I was telling these guys this morning about this, and I'm going to do this as a topic right now. I'm trying to figure out what Chelsea's size is because I want to buy her something for this Christmas that I think that would be really cool to do. And I actually have, if you guys want, should I send it to you guys to show you what I'm going to buy for Chelsea?

00:02:51 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 7:

Yes, yes, yes, I love this.

00:02:52 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 6:

So I don't know what Chelsea's size is. Like, I do know this. Like, when I wanted in the past to go get her something from, like, Lululemon or, you know, the aloe store or whatever, I'll just take one of her things that she has that's in her dirty clothes, and I'll bring it in there, and they'll look at the size for me.

00:03:08 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 7:

That's what I was going to tell you to do here. Why is this different?

00:03:11 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 6:

Well, because this thing is different, and I've never bought her this before. But also the other thing is I don't think the size is, like, it's not, like, grab her jeans. You know, what is her size of her jeans or grab her underwear? Like any stuff like that?

00:03:24 - 00:03:28 | Speaker 7:

Please don't bring her underwear. Is that bad? Up and dirty clothes.

00:03:29 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 6:

So, so I'm thinking to myself that this would be a fun Christmas because we have Christmas with the kids, but we're also going to have Christmas where it's just going to be like she and I are going to do something really cool. Like we're going to do like a date night. We're going to go stay at a hotel, you know, down here and stuff and hang out. So here's what I was thinking for Chelsea for Christmas.

00:03:48 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 7:

Oh God.

00:03:49 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 6:

What?

00:03:50 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 7:

I'm nervous. What are you about to send us?

00:03:52 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 6:

Tell some of our great women that listen to the show, give me an idea of how I could get Chelsea's size without asking her her size because I want to see that this works out. I want to buy her this.

00:04:05 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. What? You just sent it to the group.

00:04:09 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 6:

Oh, hell yeah, bro. What's wrong with it? Grab that.

00:04:12 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 7:

I don't know how to say this. No. That doesn't scream Chelsea to me. No. At all. Not even a little bit. I can see it. No, I can't.

00:04:23 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 6:

Why?

00:04:23 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 7:

It just is. Get her something nice. That's not nice? No, that's tacky. Yeah, that is. Get out of here.

00:04:30 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 6:

Why is that tacky? Because I actually found, I found that they had, for those that they can't see over the radio, you can't see, I want to get her this really sexy Santa outfit. Imagine mean girls. Yes. Like what they wore when they performed at that talent show. And what I want to do is I want to get her that, and then they have a Santa one, too. By the way, does anybody find Mrs. Claus hot? Is Mrs. Claus sexy? Because it's kind of like a sexy Mrs. Claus.

00:04:58 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

There are two problems with this.

00:05:00 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 9:

very very big problems one she's just gonna laugh and roll her eyes when she opens that that is not chelsea okay second the name do not do not show the listing to her or a receipt because the name of this is velvet kitten sexy santa mistress costume exactly this ain't for mrs claus this

00:05:21 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 3:

outfit the girl was wearing when he cheated on but that's but that's the thing though is that

00:05:24 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 2:

we're gonna do a night at a hotel and i thought this would be kind of fun i like it so she's not How do you get your girl's size when you're trying to buy her, like, sexy outfits? Lingerie and things.

00:05:37 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 9:

That sizing is weird.

00:05:38 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 2:

Is it?

00:05:39 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 9:

Yeah.

00:05:40 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 2:

Because I don't, is it insulting if I buy too small or buy too big? Which one's more insulting? If, like, say Wes was going to buy you something, would you rather him buy it too small or too big?

00:05:53 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 8:

I know the answer. I think it's too small. Oh, this is easy. Too small. Too small.

00:05:58 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 9:

I want you to think I'm skinny. But then you feel like awful if you put it on it. No, but if I... I don't know.

00:06:05 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 8:

If you put it too big, I'm like, you thought I was... Hold on.

00:06:08 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 9:

I think, well, because this is online, so you can't even take her stuff to a store and be like, okay, so these are some of the clothes that fit her. First off, just don't even buy this. Please don't. Be done. Please don't.

00:06:18 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 8:

That's the solution. Also, buy a sexy outfit. Buy a classy, nice, expensive outfit. I got a good store you can go to. What's wrong with that? That is cheesy.

00:06:27 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 2:

I think the one that I took the picture of is classier. I'm trying to find it. Read Zach's text to me. At the bottom? Yeah.

00:06:34 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 3:

In all caps, absolutely you buy that. But then get her a bag as well.

00:06:41 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 8:

Okay, yeah, get her a nice-ass bag and put that inside of it and be like, and open the bag up. That I would be okay with. I like that.

00:06:49 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 2:

Thank you, by the way, to the person that said Chelsea's size is hot, capital H-O-T. I love that. Thank you.

00:06:56 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 7:

laugh and a good bag what's up jamie hi hi i just want to let you guys know if you take your the seams from like the jeans and line them up to the new pants if they fit directly across and even then they'll fit oh okay that's yeah that's what i do whenever i go shopping and

00:07:14 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 2:

there's no uh changing rooms okay so okay so but here's the thing um study that all over again

00:07:21 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 7:

So let's say you're looking at your jeans that you have on right now. You know how you have the seams that go down the size of your pants?

00:07:30 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:07:31 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 7:

All you have to do is take those new pair of pants, line them up to the seams. If they go from seam to seam, they'll fit.

00:07:37 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right. That's going to be a little confusing. Can you just tell me like a place I can look and just see a number? Why are women's clothes are so weird how they're totally different than guys?

00:07:50 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah. Yeah, I have 10 different sizes. It's completely frustrating. And it can be at the same brand.

00:07:56 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 8:

Like, I have jeans from the same brand that are different sizes.

00:08:00 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 2:

Do you think... Yep, exactly. Do you think it's wrong to get your, as a guy, to get your girl, like, a sexy Santa Claus outfit?

00:08:07 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 9:

I don't think so. I love lingerie. No, I don't think so. The lingerie gift to me, I love that. This is like, it's a white elephant. Yes. Yes.

00:08:17 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 2:

Why is that a white elephant?

00:08:19 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 9:

Because it's just, it's, like, funny.

00:08:20 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 2:

Really?

00:08:21 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 9:

I wouldn't.

00:08:21 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 2:

I don't mean it to be funny, though.

00:08:23 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 9:

I know, but buy her something nice, then, that she will wear more than one time.

00:08:26 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 2:

There ain't nothing funny about money. No, because this is for you.

00:08:30 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 8:

This is for you.

00:08:31 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 2:

What's wrong with that, though?

00:08:32 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 8:

Because that's not a gift for me. It's a gift for us. Nope.

00:08:37 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 2:

What's going on? I would have bought it. Courtney, what's going on?

00:08:41 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 5:

Mojo, this is not a gift for Chelsea. This is a gift for you, man. You not knowing the size is a sign from God. You should not.

00:08:50 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 2:

Why are you guys all haters?

00:08:57 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 6:

I'm not a hater. Listen, if you want to get it, make it fun for you and Chelsea, fine. But get her a real gift.

00:09:02 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 2:

I've gotten her so many real gifts.

00:09:05 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 6:

You've been on the radio for a while. You're in a new studio. You've got the money, man. Send it on her. She loves you. She stuck it out with you this long.

00:09:13 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 2:

This isn't your only gift, though, right? I know. This is going to be one of many. I've always just gotten her the gifts. She opens them up, and it's like, whatever. This would be the gift we would be talking about forever.

00:09:23 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 3:

You got to do it.

00:09:24 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 4:

If it's not the only gift, I'm in support. Figure it out. Find it. I don't know. But you have to buy another gift.

00:09:34 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 8:

Do you even hear the despair in her voice and kind of saying maybe?

00:09:38 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 4:

I don't know.

00:09:39 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 8:

Maybe. You're going to be disappointed if you don't do it.

00:09:41 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Every Christmas Eve, as Kris Kringle leaves, 6.30. The reindeer team's in the air Sexy toys Making all kinds of noise

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 3:

While the jack-in-the-box displays Her mistletoe floor

00:10:04 - 00:10:14 | Speaker 6:

Me and Mrs. Claus I have never heard a sexy Christmas song before.

00:10:14 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 3:

I kind of like it, though. What's up, Princess? Hi.

00:10:17 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 6:

Get it for Shannon. No.

00:10:20 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 3:

This isn't Princess Steve Guevara's princess, is it?

00:10:25 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 5:

No, but I've called in a few times.

00:10:27 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Princess? What'd you want to say?

00:10:30 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 5:

I was just saying that I really love listening to you. I love how you open the door to like the man slash the husband's perspective. Thank you. Like your thought process when it comes to like looking for a gift and stuff. Yeah. Yes. I love that. Oh, thank you. Thank you. I just wanted to tell you.

00:10:46 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 3:

I ain't perfect, but you know what? I'm me and I think she loves me. So I think that's wonderful. Let's go to Misfit Victor on this one. I know he'll agree with me, right, Victor? Good morning.

00:10:56 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, sometimes you have to buy presents for somebody that are more presents for you. No, you don't. I bought my wife something, and she's like, what is this? I go, it's a gift for you, but it's more of a present for me. Just put it on. But Tom, what you have to do is, like, if you go on some of these sites or if it's online, read the reviews. Because sometimes people put a review on there like, oh, it's big or it's small or runs large. Some people will put on there, I'm 5'4", 120, it fit good, whatever. And sometimes what's even cooler is they'll post pictures on there. So you can, like, line up, you know, okay, that's kind of what Chelsea looks like.

00:11:42 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Chelsea kind of looks like that, yeah. Okay.

00:11:45 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and you can, you know, compare and contrast the two.

00:11:48 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 3:

Do you know Victor actually does this for Tina all the time? He buys her, like, her dresses and stuff, which is wild. I always thought as a guy that was a weird thing, but she likes it. I think I'm going to try this with Chelsea. Thank you, Victor.

00:12:01 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, according to one of your listeners, it's a control thing. Yeah. You know, I'm an abusive husband, and I'm like, you have to wear this now, woman.

00:12:08 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 3:

No. Yes. No. There's nothing. If you know the two of us, we don't have control of even ourselves.

00:12:16 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 4:

No, exactly. No control.

00:12:18 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 3:

All right. Talk to you later, buddy. What's up, Shay? Hi.

00:12:22 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. You know, I say get it. And it kind of, you've been married a long time. So it's things that you do. I was married for 30 years to keep stuff alive. Yes. To make it fun.

00:12:31 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you don't. When you say you've been married for 30 years, are you still married, hopefully?

00:12:36 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 6:

No.

00:12:37 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no. Was it because that you guys didn't keep things alive?

00:12:41 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 6:

No.

00:12:42 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

00:12:43 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 6:

No, no. It just is what it is. It was toxic. And things are better off.

00:12:48 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 3:

Let me just say this to you. If I don't buy this for her, our marriage will fail. I'm going to buy it for her.

00:12:53 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 6:

I don't think so. You do need to buy it, though. You know what? It gives me family vacation vibes. Okay. Oh, yeah. There you go. Yeah, it does. I think it'll be fun. Have fun. Have a good night. I mean, uh-huh.

00:13:05 - 00:13:06 | Speaker 3:

Thanks for being supportive.

00:13:06 - 00:13:15 | Speaker 6:

Be careful where you order from, though. Be careful where you order. I do clothing reviews. Some of the lingerie, especially, is, like, cheap. It's not made well. Okay. So just watch, you know.

00:13:15 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, nothing flammable. I don't want anything flammable.

00:13:18 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 6:

Exactly. All right. Look in her, or it will be a family vacation thing. Christmas vacations. But look in her drawers and her dresser and just look at the sizes that she's wearing. You know what's funny? It goes by measurements.

00:13:29 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 3:

I don't even know which drawer is her underwear drawer. Isn't that the craziest? We've been married for so long. I don't know. Do people know what drawers? I sometimes get surprised by stuff that I put. I go open up a drawer. So I have no clue. But I'm going to try it. I'll see what happens. What's up, Kaylee?

00:13:47 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 7:

Hey, good morning. I just said, like, if Kev likes it, we hate it.

00:13:53 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 3:

Oh, dang. Well, Kaylee, guess what? I like you. So what is that?

00:13:57 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 7:

I asked you back, and I said, I love you too, but you have been so spicy lately.

00:14:04 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 3:

Muy caliente. I got to bring the heat. Kevin, by the way, has got my back all the time, so I just want you to know that. I take Kevin's advice.

00:14:11 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 1:

The girls on the show have your back as well, and that's why we are very strongly suggesting that you buy her something. Buy her lingerie, just not that. Yeah, we would not have your back if we were like, this is a good idea. She's going to love it, dude.

00:14:25 - 00:14:55 | Speaker 2:

I think they're setting me up. All right, thank you. The first season of the X Games League is ending in New Orleans, and only one team walks away champion. leaders have to say. My name is Metarica Terry LaMille and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection. That I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.
