Hey guys, Bobby Bones here, host of The Bobby Bones Show. I'm always tired because I wake up at 3 o'clock in the morning, but it's all worth it because I get to hang out with all my friends and my studio. We share our lives. We look for as much good in the world as we possibly can with Tell Me Something Good, and we talk through the biggest news stories of the day, and also your biggest and favorite country artists are always stopping by. On the Gulf Coast, check us out on 95KSJ, and lock us in as a preset on the free iHeartRadio app today.

00:00:28 - 00:01:25 | Speaker 2:

So, quick question for you guys. Do you know someone that you work with that will post on their social media how hard they work? Like, they'll, like, post pictures of themselves or videos of themselves, like, leaving the office at a late time or post videos or, you know, or pictures of themselves coming into work extra early. and they'll post it and talk about how hard they're working. We have somebody that does this, and occasionally they'll post this. The other day they did, and when they did, I actually felt like this is bull crap because they showed themselves walking into the studio to an empty, dark studio that I know for a fact that they didn't walk in and be the first person here because I was the first person that was here that day.

00:01:26 - 00:01:37 | Speaker 4:

that person is spike and i would like to know i got your message yesterday as laughing on oh my god did this really trigger him this this tick tock video oh it didn't trigger me but i

00:01:37 - 00:01:57 | Speaker 2:

think it's funny because you do do that where you'll post oh really bad really long day leaving the office at five o'clock as you're walking out into the parking lot the empty parking lot which by the way is always empty here but there's a few people that do that too yeah in yeah that others that work in your ability, Mike, or in our ability?

00:01:57 - 00:02:03 | Speaker 3:

In the business itself. Yeah. I don't know if it's to show that, like, hey, look it, I'm working for a long time.

00:02:03 - 00:02:11 | Speaker 2:

I want to know, what is the psychology of people who post how hard they work? Do they just need, like, an attaboy every now and again?

00:02:11 - 00:02:17 | Speaker 4:

I didn't post how hard I worked. I did the opposite. I was making fun of myself. Post I fell asleep within five minutes of being here.

00:02:17 - 00:02:33 | Speaker 2:

So here's the thing that I want to do. I want to say that Spike does work a lot. He works very, very hard. He's here very late. He gets here, you know, now actually earlier than he has in the many, many years, like he gets here.

00:02:33 - 00:02:39 | Speaker 4:

The whole More Mojo podcast yesterday was you talking about how hard we all work and no one understands our long hours.

00:02:39 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 2:

I get you, but I feel like we need to give you a little bit of love because I don't know how you're going to do it if you don't get love off of the, you know, posting it on social media. So I'm going to open up the phone lines right now to ask our listeners, who is the person in your office that always tells you how hard they work? And I want you to call them out right now to give them recognition for how hard they work. This is the funniest thing. So hold on. Let me see if I can find the – it's on your TikTok here.

00:03:04 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Hold up. Are we getting recognition for it? Then I would like to say this. Hi. Hi, Mike. Yeah? I do a lot on this station. You do a lot? Okay. Yes. All right. Hold on a second.

00:03:13 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 1:

Mike, you actually do everything. Now, background.

00:03:16 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 4:

Actually, let me give you a background on this TikTok because, you know, our boss is on us to constantly create and I have to do a TikTok every week. So while Mojo was resting on a beach on vacation, we were going through an ice storm.

00:03:29 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 2:

Bullcrap.

00:03:30 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 4:

And so I got here. I set my alarm an hour earlier than usual to get here because I was running the show that morning. Wait, wait, wait. You're interrupting my explanation. Okay, go ahead. So I set my alarm an hour earlier because of this ice storm. they were warning us about well i got up that morning i got to work in 10 minutes the roads were just wet it was interesting it was the next day so i was here at 4 45 with my thumb up my ass

00:03:54 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 2:

going now what do i do no one's actually you were here at five because it said 5 a.m time stamp yeah

00:03:58 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 4:

i was here at 4 45 and nobody else was here for 45 minutes so i was like okay what can i catch up

00:04:05 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 2:

on here and i'm like you know what so you didn't take this on monday no i told you yesterday i taped this on third how could i have taped it on monday because you were wearing the hot mom sweatshirt did you wear that two weeks or two days in a row no i've because you had your hot mom

00:04:17 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 4:

first of all i taped the ending later when i was trying to think of when it was my day to do tiktok how am i going to wrap this up but so this is thursday when i was here 4 45 elevator but i always take the stairs because it's the only exercise i'm going to get all day

00:04:32 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 2:

5 a.m good morning taylor walking in all right it is the most important part of broadcast

00:04:40 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

equipment in the radio station the coffee machine this is the morning show office by the way nothing ever happens in here except we sleep on the couch once in a while i think the best part about my job every morning is that when we walk in this door we never know what's going to happen for the next six hours all right there you go and then you cut off the end but the end is me sleeping There's me falling asleep.

00:05:01 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 2:

At what point did I brag and say I work hard and I need recognition?

00:05:05 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 4:

I'm just giving you the recognition that you do. You work very, very hard. Okay. How are you doing, Zane? How are you doing? Good morning. What's going on, Zane? Who is it in your office that is the spike of your office?

00:05:18 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 7:

Well, I don't work in an office. I'm an electrician. But on the job site, my buddy Toby, he's always the one saying how hard he works, and he can never get over it.

00:05:30 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 4:

Really? Like, what does he do?

00:05:33 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 7:

Well, he'll be standing on his phone sometimes, and then he'll, like, go and work hard for a little bit and then go back on his phone. And the only time that he talks about how hard he's working is when he's not working.

00:05:49 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 4:

So, quick question. Does he work any more than you work?

00:05:54 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 7:

Nope, not at all.

00:05:56 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 4:

But he tells everybody he does. So what is he doing by doing that? Is he basically saying that you need to work a little bit more? Or who is he trying to prove it to?

00:06:06 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 7:

I don't know. I think he's just trying to prove it to the whole crew.

00:06:09 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So, you know, listen, I will say this to you. I think everybody works very, very hard, but I don't necessarily think that you have to go and tell everybody.

00:06:17 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 2:

Only one person was triggered in this room that you weren't in the video because you were here first.

00:06:21 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, Kenny?

00:06:23 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, twice in one day.

00:06:24 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 6:

Let's go.

00:06:26 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Kenny, Trucker Kenny, is that you again?

00:06:30 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 6:

Yes, sir.

00:06:30 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 4:

Wow, you're working harder than all of us on our show.

00:06:33 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 6:

I got you on my Bluetooth, and I just got in from making my delivery, and I was like, oh, I got to text in for this one.

00:06:39 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 4:

Kenny wants to talk. You want to call out somebody that you say likes to tell everybody that they work hard?

00:06:46 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 6:

Oh, absolutely. So as a truck driver, and I'm sure all my fellow truckers will agree, it's always the dispatch that seems to do the most work. Not the guys out here driving and delivering. The people telling you where to go.

00:07:01 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:07:02 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 6:

They work the absolute hardest. I love it.

00:07:06 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 4:

And they're in a nice, warm, comfortable building while you are on the road having to deal with all the crazies out there, right?

00:07:13 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 6:

Oh, man. I got my bibs on, my insulated snow boots, my insulated hoodie, and I'm still freezing.

00:07:18 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. No, it's funny. What's going on, Julie? How you doing?

00:07:22 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 5:

Good. How are you?

00:07:23 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 4:

Fantastic. julie who would you like to tell everybody that they work hard this would be my head medical

00:07:29 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 5:

assistant i work at a doctor's office she is constantly running around like a with chicken with her head cut off the doctor always runs for her yells for her and other other ma's and the poor thing husband just passed away and she's still working her butt off well so you're calling

00:07:49 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 4:

legitimately about her that she's working hard. Yeah, we're tongue-in-cheek in it. We're tongue-in-cheek in it. Do you have any people in your office? Do you have any people in your office that say they work hard, but they... The rest of the

00:08:03 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 5:

medical systems, yes, but they don't. It's her.

00:08:07 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 2:

There you go. There's always somebody that wants credit that'll message you while you're at the gym and say, what time of day did you tape this? I was in studio.

00:08:15 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 1:

I love this texter. I can't call in, but I want to

00:08:17 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 2:

recognize myself. That was you.

00:08:19 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 4:

Wait, no, I'm sorry. Was that a humble brag, though, that you were also at the gym? Was that when you said that? What was the text, Jenna?

00:08:25 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 1:

It says, can't call in, but I want to recognize myself for doing the least. Why strive when you can just drive by? Amen, right?

00:08:34 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 2:

I like that. Is that the person that told us yesterday about, what was it, Bare Minimum Monday? They're just going to go in and cruise.

00:08:41 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 4:

That's it. Bare Minimum Monday. You've got to pull that off. I would like to say out of everybody that works here at the station, KP, you work the hardest. Because yesterday I called you at, what was it, 6 o'clock at night? And you were still at the radio station. What are you doing here at 6 o'clock at night?

00:08:58 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 3:

It wasn't 6 o'clock at night.

00:09:00 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 4:

What time was it?

00:09:01 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 3:

I'm pretty sure it was like 2.30. No, it wasn't. Oh, you're going to.

00:09:05 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 4:

It was. Why did you not make a TikTok about that?

00:09:09 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 3:

Well, actually, I want to point out that I have made a TikTok extensively showing how much work I do. So I'm surprised you didn't call me out for that. No, no, no. Because that was definitely more bragging than spice. Yeah. But what I was doing, I was just chilling. I was doing my other show and all my other stuff because I'd rather get it done at the end of the day than the beginning.

00:09:27 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 4:

I think that there is a time when you have to go home. And I told you yesterday, I'm like, I told KP, I'm like, you got to go. First off, the sun was out yesterday, which is very rare that the sun is ever out in the wintertime. And if you don't experience the sun, it just gets to you. So you've got to get a little bit of sun in your life.

00:09:46 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 3:

He's saying I'm pale.

00:09:47 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 4:

Kind of, yes. He's dribbling the ball with everything on the line. He's driving down the pitch. He's facing price hikes and cuts past him. Carrier Contracts tries to block him.

00:09:56 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 2:

Oh, he leaves him in the dust. He's at the edge of the box. He cuts past the nonstop group.
