Lojo's breaking and entering Christmas wish, granting wishes throughout Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Toledo. And we have all our wishes and the videos up on our social media. And you should go check them out because I'm going to tell you this. I, like, sob like a baby when I'm listening on the air and we're doing them. When I watch the videos and get to see what Mike and Reese and all of the wish-granting angels are doing, it just really gets to me. Like, seriously, I get very emotional. But I would love for you to go check them out. I was talking to my sister yesterday. Actually, it was me and Mike were talking to my sister yesterday and Pat. She called me up during the show And Or actually after the show She doesn't usually bother me during the show But she's a sweet lady She's the best lady I don't know if she's up this early in the morning Because she's on Central Time Zone in Chicago But Mike we were talking to her And she was like She got so excited to talk to Mike Because Mike was the famous guy that does the wishes She watches the wishes all the time She was so sweet Ann invited me to stay when I'm in Chicago, which is awesome. Yeah. Come stay at her house, she says.

00:03:19 - 00:03:20 | Speaker 4:

Isn't WGN her show on right now?

00:03:20 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, yeah. She watches the WGN morning news.

00:03:22 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 4:

The one guy. She likes that one guy.

00:03:24 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 2:

What's his name? Pat, what the hell is it? Yeah.

00:03:27 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 3:

Sorry, I can't get to the phone right now.

00:03:29 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 2:

Oh, she's not answering.

00:03:29 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 3:

How do we reach out to WGN and have them do a special shout-out to Pat from us? Tomasulo?

00:03:35 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 2:

Pat Tomasulo, yes. Pat Tomasulo, yeah. I would love to do that. Like, you know how the local TV stations will, you know, have their own local news? WGN is kind of like Their unaffiliated You know like news station That does like non-stop local news The whole time and if they said Hi to my sister Pat in the morning show And did something for Pat Oh my god she'd probably Poop her pants

00:04:00 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 4:

Or can we get them to do a cameo or something for her

00:04:02 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 2:

For Christmas Check and see if anybody from WGN's on cameo

00:04:07 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 4:

She would die and go to heaven

00:04:09 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 2:

I should see if they're on

00:04:11 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 4:

hold on let me see cameo do you have the app is our cameo app i do i have the cameo app because

00:04:16 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 2:

remember i bought you guys your cameo still one of my favorite christmas gifts of all time all right hold on a second here wgn wgn let's see if anybody there is on there oh they do have a couple people here is he on there no they're all the tv are there they look like they're radio no nobody uh from that show not to call him up hit him up on social media maybe i say fred has any connections with them oh speaking of that I gotta talk about this before we

00:04:41 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 4:

get into break up or make up I gotta mention this so yesterday there was a

00:04:48 - 00:05:01 | Speaker 2:

big story that came out on social media that one of our Detroit news people got fired and it's it's somebody who

00:05:00 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 1:

A lot of people know because he was pretty well liked. I was bummed when I saw that news I sent it to you last night. I was really bummed. A lot of people like Jason Carr from WDIV, Local 4. He's that guy with the good-looking beard and kind of an attractive guy who's married to Taryn Asher from Fox. Hold on. Pat's calling real quick. Sorry about that. I'll get back to it in a second. Just checking. Hi, Aunt Pat.

00:05:30 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Aunt Pat. Hi.

00:05:32 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Pat, we were just calling up this morning just to see how you're doing.

00:05:37 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 2:

Oh, don't ask me. I'll tell you.

00:05:42 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 1:

But I was also promoting our Breaking Night and Christmas wish, and the fact that you watch each and every video that is posted and make yourself miserable crying watching these things.

00:05:55 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 2:

I know. I did last night. In fact, I was just telling Tracy about last night.

00:05:58 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 1:

My sister, yes. tracy your your sister too yeah what were you what were you telling her my sister first that's

00:06:05 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 2:

right that's right your sister first what's going on you were the last one why were you the last

00:06:11 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 1:

child i was the baby that's right save the best for last they got perfection and they stopped thank you for that i sent that to luke by the way you sent me this meme yesterday and i sent it to luke and luke loved it because he's our baby so pat yeah um tell our listeners why they should watch those videos those breaking under and christmas wish videos oh you know what it makes

00:06:34 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 2:

you when you have your own problems and makes you realize that your problems you know sometimes they're not as bad as you think they are sometimes they are but sometimes they're not it just gives you it gives you a few minutes to think that things could be worse in life

00:06:49 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah. And it's heartwarming to see these people having a nice thing happen to them, you know?

00:06:55 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm waiting for mine. I get up early every day and they address me.

00:07:00 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 1:

Mike, you got to do that. I'd love to. You and Reese got to show up at Aunt Pat's house. It would be the greatest.

00:07:08 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 2:

I know. I need a new slider, Mike. The cold air comes through it.

00:07:13 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 1:

Oh, on your sliding glass window?

00:07:16 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. No, I'm fine.

00:07:17 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 1:

We got to figure that out. We'll see if any...

00:07:19 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 2:

Any new car? Any new car?

00:07:22 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 1:

What do you think this is? The Price is Right?

00:07:24 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 2:

Oprah.

00:07:26 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:07:26 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, no.

00:07:28 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 1:

Pat, we were just having a discussion about how much you love WGN's morning news.

00:07:32 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm watching it right now, and it's the commercial right now as I'm looking at it. See? I knew it. And who's your guy? Pat Tomasulo? Yeah, I like all of the morning show. I think they're very funny and laid back. and their poinsettias are dying and they make a big joke about it. The budget's so low, they don't even budget and someone to water the flowers.

00:08:03 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 1:

That's funny. Well, we're trying to see if we can contact any of the people there because our goal is, Pat, that we want to get them to give you a shout out on the show.

00:08:14 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I love WGN.

00:08:16 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 1:

They love you too.

00:08:18 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 2:

It's good to watch news. Wait, did you just not yawn?

00:08:21 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 1:

Did you just yawn? Oh, my God. To me? Yeah.

00:08:25 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

I've been up. I have a pinched nerve in my back, and it's going down both my legs.

00:08:29 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Mike, will you grant a wish for her already? Give me the music. Give me the music. It hurts so bad. Hold on a second. Hold on. Mike's got something special here for you here right now, Pat. I don't know if you can hear him because you're on my phone.

00:08:41 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 2:

Hey, I'm waiting for a Joe Show hat and a Mojo shirt. You know what?

00:08:48 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 1:

How about that, Mike? Grant her a wish right now. Tell her what we're going to get. What are we going to get her? Hold on. You've got to open her slider. Mike's knocking on your slider right now.

00:08:57 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:08:58 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 1:

Answer the slider, Pat.

00:09:00 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 2:

While he's back there, will you ask him if he'll cover my air conditioner? I got a new top for the winter cover.

00:09:06 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 1:

He's going to start doing chores. Mike, have you ever had that happen to you when you granted a Christmas wish where they ask you to do household items for them while you're there? Not yet, no. Oh, my God. That would be funny. All right. Well, listen, Pat.

00:09:20 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 2:

What he doing is the question. What he doing? Is he that sweet off air?

00:09:26 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 1:

Mike, are you that sweet off air? I would cover an air conditioner. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So wonderful. All right. Well, listen, Pat, I love you so much. Merry Christmas.

00:09:36 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 2:

You've got a terrible cough. You better take care of that.

00:09:38 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 1:

I am. Dr. Warner just gave me a steroid to take.

00:09:43 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 2:

You know what? Yeah, that's good, too. you know what dad would tell you to do what's that kind of selling that's right what's that chicken noodle soup oh yeah but you can't have the noodles i know chicken noodle soup is the

00:09:55 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

king of everything i actually i i went to uh steve's deli and got my

00:10:00 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 4:

some so i'm gonna i'll get some more today all right i love you they probably don't use noodles okay love you too have a good day all right pad i'm glad we granted your christmas wish all right oh yeah okay all right i'll talk to you later bye go back to this jason car thing for one second and then we get to break up our makeup yeah so this jason car thing i can't figure out what happened to him so they say jason car got fired um it says jason car a popular wdiv Channel 4 host and anchor was terminated. He was let go sometime last week. A source familiar with the situation told the Detroit Free Press Carr was terminated after he criticized his co-workers during Jason Carr live segment on December the 6th.

00:10:46 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 3:

Whoa. He criticized his

00:10:48 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 4:

co-workers. He criticized a co-worker, yeah. That's what we do every day.

00:10:53 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 2:

It's got to be more than that.

00:10:55 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 4:

So it said that his bio no longer appears on the Local 4 staff page. Carr did not respond to requests for comments. Carr has amassed a large following on social media and has been at Local 4 since 2016. He is the husband of Fox 2 WJBK TV anchor, Taryn Asher. Oh, I love Taryn.

00:11:27 - 00:11:27 | Unknown:

I know you do.

00:11:28 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 4:

They are a hot couple, too.

00:11:29 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, they really are.

00:11:30 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 4:

But he must have, I don't know what the story is. He must have said something that obviously got somebody so pissed off that they went to HR and they got him fired. But I would think he would be a big enough personality that he could withstand, you know. And especially if he was live on his TV show. I wonder what he said. I'd like to know what he said.

00:11:49 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 2:

I feel like you could, people complain about their coworkers on the news all the time.

00:11:55 - 00:11:56 | Unknown:

All the time.

00:11:56 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 2:

You can tell when they hate each other. And I feel like this had to be extreme for him to actually be let go. I feel like this is being downplayed.

00:12:04 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 4:

I wonder what the story is.

00:12:06 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 2:

Also, if we start complaining about our coworkers getting fired, oh man, I'm out pretty quick here.

00:12:11 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 4:

We're all in trouble right now. It's interesting because I got to tell you, I thought that the guy had multiple... He was one of those guys that could do anything. He could do the hard news. He could do the lighthearted stuff.

00:12:24 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 3:

He did the Live in the D show.

00:12:25 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, which is like their local show where all they do is plug sponsors and make money for like an hour or something like that.

00:12:31 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 3:

That show, while we're talking about it, you know what drives me crazy every day that we watch that show because I say it in the studio, the flowers on there. Pat just mentioned the poinsettias are dying on WGN. The flowers on Live in the D are the worst fake flowers, and they're right there in the center of the table.

00:12:47 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 4:

But they're smart. They've got fake flowers that don't look like they're dying.

00:12:50 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 3:

And with no water in the vase. They don't even try.

00:12:52 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 4:

The thing I don't understand with the whole firing of the TV person like this and the coworker thing is that these TV stations now are doing their own, like, watch us on our Internet access thing, and they're trying to fill more content than they ever had to fill before. And the problem is, this is what ends up happening. It's like a radio show. You know, because normally they're used to scripted stuff. Everything's all scripted. These guys really don't do anything, you know, live. They do it off of a teleprompter. Right. And when they give them more content to produce, because they have to do it on their live on the D, watch us on, you know, whatever website or, you know, channel 189 on cable, you got to fill content. And then now you've got somebody that's upset over something that was said, but I don't know. I don't know. It's interesting. We're going to have to explore that. Can Shannon's Dirty on the 30 do some investigating? Will you call? Aren't you friends with some people at that station that can give you like a, we can voice disguise them or something?

00:13:51 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 3:

I mean, yes, so are you.

00:13:55 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 4:

Let's call them and find out what's going on. I want to know. I know who will give us the dirt. I want to know why you got fired.

00:13:58 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 3:

I know who will give us the dirt.

00:13:59 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 4:

All right. Let's find out. We're going to find out. We'll update in the next Dirty Report.

00:14:03 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. I've got to do it fast.
