We hung out last night all together and then Mike stayed at the house last night And so we were talking, and I don't know if you noticed this at all. By the way, Louie Tomlinson tickets, I'll give them to you. Hold on one second. I don't know if you noticed this, but my wife is, like, really having a hard time with Luke going away to school. So all she wanted to do was sit there and talk about Mike's children with him, his little kids.

It was a very insightful conversation. It was really, really – it was a great conversation because she was talking to me about, you know, cherish these moments and, you know, because I was telling her, you know, we're a little nervous about a new baby coming and and you know our house is already a disaster all the time and we feel like we can never catch up and she just I mean she talked me through it it was a great conversation she was

like embrace the disaster that you'll love that disaster and all I kept thinking to myself was can I go to bed the entire time that we were just having that conversation so I by the way I forget how soon you're having that baby that how fast this pregnancy has gone I don't know if Ali feels the same way or you as dad feel the same way but it feels like it's really flown by we waited longer

to tell everybody this time i think that's why it feels like that but um we both talk about it all the time and i think now she's getting a little uncomfortable so she's kind of ready and it probably doesn't feel like it's gone fast but for me it feels like it's gone really fast yeah

really really fast and the amazing thing from listening to you talk last night can i say what uh what you said last night about the the sex of the baby and stuff like that about what you oh Mike is hoping for a girl because he does not have a boy name picked out so he doesn't know what he's going to name Baby Doe or whatever because he does not have a name and I was kind of surprised by that and I don't know if this is a very common thing but there are people that have no idea what the name of the baby is going to be after the baby is born Would it go to that length where you guys will not have a boy's name if you go into the delivery room and give birth to this baby?

I don't know if you guys have done this, but we sort of kind of maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe have a name. We don't have a middle name, but we keep, you know when you think of that name and then you start seeing it everywhere and then you kind of have to go off of what you're seeing because it just keeps popping up everywhere and you're like, well, now I don't like it because of this or now I really like it because of this. That's where we're at with a boy's name. And outside of that name specifically, I have no idea what it would be.

So if you guys give birth and he was so excited yesterday, he's going to Mike never is the first to know anything, you know, even like on this show, Mike's always.

of the last to know yes he is so excited by the fact that he's going to be the catcher right there with the doctor oh yeah and he'll know the sex of the baby even before mom knows the sex of the baby yeah jander was that way with both of mine so so if that baby comes out and that baby has a you know has a little thing hanging off are you are you gonna just be like whoa what are we gonna do

And now I'm going to mess with her for a second. I'm going to go, oh, boy, or girl, or.

Don't do that. She's waited this long.

This is wild. I Googled about baby names and stuff, and I was Googling about boys' names. And then this story came up, and I clicked on it because I thought it was so interesting. One in three adults hates their name. 2,000 people surveyed, 32% confessed to hating their given name, with 4 in 10 choosing to go by a nickname instead, 1 in 20 even resorting to using an entirely different title. social media accounts were often given uh given names you know different they actually now you know people choose their social media accounts based on a name that they wish that they would have because if you see like a friend of yours has a name or uses something that's other than their name for their social media account typically that's a person that does not like their name according to this study and 11 studied had fallen out uh falling out with their parents because they didn't like the name and they told their parents that they hated their name wow so you better come up with a good name that's pretty wild that's a lot of people that don't like their name i don't know there's any people that don't like their name but if you don't like your name what did you do you what do you do in that case you just go by a nickname or or with it

you just deal with it yeah do you not like your name i love my name now i love my name now i hated it when i was growing up because nobody's spelling yeah it wasn't my name is megan which is fine like that i don't mind that i hated that nobody ever spelled it right because it's spelled m-e-a-g-h-a-n

yeah yeah that's a tough one when when they give you the uniqueness of that and as an adult i i

couldn't ask for anything more i love being unique but as a kid it is a little disappointing not being able to like get stuff with your name on it or have your teacher spell your name right That hurt.

You told us earlier this week. What was it? Miegan or whatever they call you?

Miegan is pronunciations I got sometimes. That hurt.

Amber, Mike has no name if this baby is a boy.

I was calling because I have four boys. And the last three boys, we really couldn't decide on a name. So we were in the hospital for two or three days, and they were baby no names.

Yeah.

because we couldn't think of a name and names are so important and so um we just we waited until it came to us um one of my boys you know was a no name and then in the middle of the night one of the nights I was there my husband said um you know God just spoke to me and I think his name should be Nehemiah and I was like I love that and so my last son we couldn't think of a name either and I asked the nurse, I said, what if I can't think of a name when it's time to go home? She looks at me, she's like, you need to think of a name. Oh, yeah, they'll pester you.

Do you have to have a name? A baby has to have a name before it leaves the hospital?

Well, I think there's like a grief period, but she was really earnestly looking at me saying, you need to get it together. They will come every hour. Yeah. Yeah, they could not stand it. So it was baby. They just named On the card they just had baby And then our last name But yeah we took our time So Mike Take your time but I was going to tell you too I really like the name Giles I don't know if you like it

I love it Don't get offended if I go Take your time but name it The name that I want you to name

And it's a big deal obviously because You're naming a child but for me I grew up Mike but my name isn't mike it's robert michael so i had to deal with that my entire life because my mom after i was born decided that i wasn't a robber and and also follow out with my dad my biological dad and so she decided we're gonna you look more like a michael so we're gonna call you mike for your entire life but for your entire life you're gonna have to do legal stuff where you have to go through and type it out and then explain it to every teacher and every person and every person's like why do you go by your middle name yeah why are you because my mom decided the last minute because my My mom doesn't like my dad. Basically.

Wes just texted me and said he didn't have a name for over a month.

Oh, my God.

They called him No Name Baby.

In Canada, they... Isn't that insane?

I did not know that. Oh, my.

I didn't know you could do that. Nicole didn't go a month, but how many days did your daughter not have a name?

It was about six days. Oh, wow. I mean, that's a long time. It was, and we kept getting pressured to find a name. And so finally, my husband and I, there was a box of Kleenex in the recovery room, and it was Kendall Pharmaceuticals. And we're like, hey, Kendall's a good name, so that's her name. Oh, what a great story.

That is so cool. That is such a great story. Vanessa, you left the hospital and did not have a name for the baby.

Yes, that's true. It was my third daughter. So we knew it was a girl, but we were, like, running out of good names by that time.

Man.

And I was sitting in the hospital, and I was stressing out. And my husband was coming to pick me up with our other two girls. And they're like, what's wrong? I'm like, I don't know what to name her.

Wow. So you're at home one day, and how did the name pop in your head?

Yeah, so we leave. They say you have a couple days. We left on a Friday. They said by Monday, 3 p.m., we submit paperwork. You have to bring it back. So no pressure, right? Well, my husband starts throwing out other names. I'm like, no, we were between Aurora and Gwen, and we decided to go with Aurora because my one daughter said Gwen sounded like a boy name. Wow.

All right. That's wow. So Misfit Victor, this is a wild story because I remember you telling me this. Victor's, you guys changed your child's name, right?

Yeah, yeah. When my oldest son Christian was born, I went in the hospital. I'm like, this is his name. I had his first and middle name picked out, and we were ready to go. He was born on Christmas Eve, and he was supposed to be called Alexander, and his middle name was going to be spelled D-E-G-R-E-A-T. It was going to be Alexander the Great. And three days later, I changed his name to Christian.

Why did you not?

Alexander the Great would have been the greatest, though. I know. I know. It's just everybody came in there. Well, he was born on Christmas Eve. You should name him this, and you should name him that. And it turned into biblical and this and that. And, you know, thank God I didn't have a box of Kleenex next to me named Ken. He would have been named Kendall. Yeah.

I think what we should do, don't you think, our greatest advertiser that we have on our station or something, you know, like Puffs or whatever. I'm trying to think of who the advertiser is.

Or you should name him Kroger.

Kroger or Meijer because he's from Grand Rapids.
