It's always funny, Spike, isn't it? when you talk to people that are dating and you find out some stories from them of either the craziest first dates or some of the craziest things that people will bring up on their first

dates? Well, and this just triggered a memory for me as we were just talking to Lydia about her bar experience and the guy sitting next to her and breaking that personal space barrier. It's one of my favorite things to do. Meg and I all go sit at a bar and we'll just talk to strangers and we'll just chill. She'll read a book.

Meg, your girlfriend?

Yeah. Not this Meg that's sitting right here. And so Friday night, our bartender told us that she matched with a guy on one of the apps who asked her on a date. And as they started chatting, he said, I want to take you on a date because I have a Cheesecake Factory gift card to use. Now, that should have been her first red flag. But it gets way worse. She was down. She was like, you know, she thought he was cute. She's like, I'm going to meet him. Well, on the first date, He talked about his job as a male stripper.

Hell yeah.

And told her the story about a girl who bit his wiener while he was on stage. So...

I mean, didn't she do damage? Because that's important information to know before you get intimate with somebody.

I don't think she even wanted to get that detailed on the first date. I just think that's a weird story to share on a first date. You look for interesting life stories to talk about, and maybe you talk about work more than often, But I think there's just certain stories you don't save for the first date.

Maybe that's a way that they say, you know, like, hey, show me your scar type thing. He just wanted to get a scar looked at.

Well, I said, you know, was that a deal breaker for you? And she said the whole occupation's a deal breaker. She wished she was mad he didn't put male stripper in his profile so she wouldn't have wasted her time because she does not want to date somebody who does that. And she's like that, you know.

I wonder if that ever happens to other male strippers.

I don't think that's common.

Actually, this is what a guy with a small has, and then this is the bigger one.

So I thought I'd bring up the story of what is the craziest story he told you on the first date that he really shouldn't have shared?

Wait, do you say it's only guys, though, that will tell us super stuff?

No, it could be women, too, but I just feel like guys are more prone to have word vomit because they just are nervous, and they start talking too much, and they don't understand the barriers of what makes a good conversation and what's inappropriate for a first date.

Things not to bring up, probably things better left unsaid.

Yeah, that's a story to tell on the fourth or fifth date. I mean, she was just finding out.

that he was in the entertainment business, quote-unquote.

Yeah, some people might think that's cheap or too cheap for a date. I think it's fine.

Is it bad to use a gift card if you're going out on a first date? Does that make you look cheap?

I think especially this time of year, I assume that you just got it for the holidays from your company. I don't think it makes you look cheap. I think if you pulled it out ahead of time and said, we have $50 stick to the budget, that makes you look cheap. If I can still order a dessert, I'm good.

Hey, I just wanted to tell you, when I was younger, I got in a car with a guy. I let him pick me up for a date, which this was the last time I ever did that. And as we're driving to where we're going, he says, oh, if you look me up or anything, I was charged with something really bad. But don't worry. I never did that to that girl.

And I was like, oh, my God. And I was like, how do I get out of this car? I don't have my own car. That was the very last time. I always met at dates from there on out. And I was like, I did make it home okay, thank the Lord.

What did you find out? What was it about him, though, that he was charged with?

Well, he had, I don't want to say the word, but he had done something to a girl that was very heinous. And spent some jail time and everything. He was actually convicted in the whole nine.

But did he have to serve a lot of time, or did he get let out because they found out that it wasn't true?

No, no.

It was true.

It was yours.

Wow. I mean, you want to know that, but it's almost like I wish you would have just cut. And he probably is thinking, I'm going to cut to the chase on the first date so I'm not wasting too much time, but maybe just say it in the app.

Or thinking that she already brought it up, although if she looked it up, she wouldn't be on the date with him probably. Bath?

It's popular. They told me you can go to a VR strip club and you can get a VR lap dance. I just assumed it was like a computer. I didn't realize there's someone on the other end performing.

No, it is. You get like a full body tracking on yourself, and you can go in there and you can dance.
