It's Mojo in the Morning Show. So I hate to even bring this up because I think at some point people would just become, you know, numb to it or now annoyed by it. But we moved into these new studios and we got all kinds of technology that for some reason is kind of going crazy. And I was having a conversation yesterday with my Chaldean buddies, Martin Manna and Mike Sarafa. They came down yesterday. Martin is, by the way, one of the funniest. He might be the funniest human being ever i always i always joke say with him i it's amazing that this man rubs uh i was gonna say rub shoulders like what what body part is he rubbing elbows he rubs elbows with politicians you know what i mean governors and presidents and congress people and stuff uh but he's a great representative for the chaldean community and i was telling him i'm like yeah the studio is great but occasionally we get these like things that go in here like weird stuff that never happened in the old studio where you've probably heard them where things just get taken over like the literally this my system's gone into satellite mode which means i get no control over any of the controls so it sounds like everything's playing at the same time and um nobody can figure it out they all they all look at me like i'm the insane person like oh i don't it doesn't show up on the computer like that you know it's like you know this is all you

00:01:16 - 00:01:21 | Speaker 2:

it's the strangest thing today it happened two or three times yeah so we're we're having this

00:01:21 - 00:01:55 | Speaker 1:

conversation and we're talking about it and um uh i said to martin i go i don't know what it is and martin goes i know what it is this is what's that he goes it's the ribbon cutting thing that happened with jay towers i go what are you talking about and he said in our community in the chaldean community if there is a bad thing that has happened somewhere we bring in a religious figure like a priest and we have the priest come and re-bless everything to make it not bad i have a question

00:01:55 - 00:02:00 | Speaker 3:

yeah do we have any tinfoil around here i feel like you need a hat you're thinking it's one of

00:02:00 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 1:

those are you crazy person you're no but this i get this this is a religious thing this is a thing where it's like we had in it it always happens everything happens right around the same time that we all looked in the old studios at the TV camera on Fox 2 and saw Jay Towers ribbon cutting. Remember that? Remember the feeling that we all had that one Friday morning?

00:02:21 - 00:02:22 | Speaker 2:

That was not a good feeling.

00:02:23 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 1:

No. So, and we moved in here. We had a very nice opening, but we never did a ribbon cutting, right? Because it had already been cut. So Martin said, we should see if we could call, like, the priest of the Chaldean community or any community. I don't care what kind of priest you are. You could be a priest of whatever your religion is that you do. But have them come and give us a, you know, I don't know, like a little prayer or something, a cleansing.

00:02:50 - 00:03:12 | Speaker 3:

I need somebody to text 95500. Is Father Mark still around in the Toledo area? He was at St. Joe's, Sylvania and went to St. Joe's Mommy for a little bit. And I also know that he went to St. John's. But is he around? He's the funniest priest I've ever met. He would be hysterical to come in here and bless. He did magic during his homilies. He went to high school with my dad. He's great. I would love if Father Mark would come up here.

00:03:12 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 1:

Father Mark, if you're listening, Father Mark, what church is he at?

00:03:15 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 3:

The last I heard, so I had him as a priest when I was at St. Josephania. I heard he had moved to St. Joe's mom, me, but he went to high school at St. John's with my dad.

00:03:23 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 1:

Well, wouldn't it be easier if we just found some priest at some church here in Detroit?

00:03:27 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 2:

I was just thinking, he's very funny. Father JJ. We got to get Father JJ. He's now working at the diocese here in Detroit. He's funny, too. He could come down.

00:03:35 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 1:

I was out for lunch the other day and I saw this young priest that was there that literally was, I was like, that guy looks like he, he looks like he's wearing a Halloween costume because there's no way I've seen a priest that looks like that guy that's that young. You can burn some sage.

00:03:51 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 2:

I have sage at home. I don't. The only thing about sage is that I think it smells terrible. Some people like it, but I don't, I don't love the smell of it. We could sage all the corners of this room.

00:04:01 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 1:

I am. I am one of those people. Listen, I'm one of those people that will believe anything as long as my equipment works. That's all I want. I want my equipment to actually work appropriately. And I don't want, I'm tired of, I'm tired of going to Tony Travato and Tony the Tiger, Tony Beers, and saying to them, what is going on with this thing? Why is this thing doing it? And them saying to me, well, look into it. That's what they say to me all the time. So has anybody ever had this happen where they had to do this to like their home? um maybe they lived in a house they found out somebody died they had like somebody come and get rid of the the juju i don't know is that what it's called yeah i don't know maybe after you get divorced you saved your entire house yes the um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 what's up Brittany? Hi, I'm all Joe.

00:04:57 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

00:06:30 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I was ordained online. I'd be more than happy to come. You know what?

00:06:34 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 7:

Perfect. I was, too. So you got your license to marry somebody, probably, right?

00:06:39 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 1:

I mean, hey, listen, $5.99, you go online. It is. You could do a lot of things.

00:06:44 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 7:

It's like the first church of Modesto, California. I love it, too.

00:06:49 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 2:

Real question. Do you get a tax break for that?

00:06:53 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 1:

Oh, absolutely. I can do weddings. I can do funerals. I'm not Jewish, but I can do bar mitzvahs.

00:06:58 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 3:

I need to get ordained, by the way. Somebody point me in the right direction. I just got to ask you to do a wedding.

00:07:02 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 7:

I'll send you the website. I want a legit one, though. Like, I'm not really legit either. What's up, Sarah? Hi.

00:07:10 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning. So in May, I actually saved my room because May was a terrible month for me. My boyfriend broke up with me, and then my grandpa passed away a week later. So we were, I was all ready for the, you know, next half of the year. So definitely, I staged my room. Don't like the smell of it, but I did it for, you know, bad juju.

00:07:35 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 7:

Okay, well, listen, that worked for you? Well, we might have to do the whole Sage thing if we can't find the appropriates. We may need, yeah. What's up, Amanda?

00:07:46 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Mojo.

00:07:48 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 7:

Hey, what's going on?

00:07:50 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 5:

First time, long time. Hey, everybody.

00:07:51 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 4:

I think you should do another ribbon cutting and invite everybody. Maybe that's what we need.

00:08:01 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, maybe we need to do that. But I want the blessings done, too, so we get rid of all the bad stuff, and then we'll get the new stuff going here. But, yeah, we may have to do that.

00:08:09 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 6:

We'll invite all the listeners. We'll all bless it.

00:08:11 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 7:

It will be like a pre-Jingle Ball party or something that we can put together. Might be a good idea.

00:08:16 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 6:

I want to go to Jingle Ball, too, by the way. Give me some tickets.

00:08:19 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 7:

God, I wish I would. Keep listening. and we'll have a bunch here. Or go see Brittany in the dentist chair.

00:08:24 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 3:

The engineers are running to our studio right now as you're talking about this.

00:08:31 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 7:

What's up, Jessica? No, they're running. You know where they're running? They honest to God walked right by. They're running to the bathroom. That's the way to the bathroom. Jessica, are you there? Oh, Jessica. Jessica hung up. Jessica said that she might have known somebody that could have done our studio. What's up, Michelle?

00:08:51 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 6:

Mojo, I love you. I've been listening to you forever. So I got to tell you guys, you guys need to get some old Caldean lady, grab the little gold thing, I don't know what it's called, and have her walk around your studio with her prayer book and say these songs, because not one devil would step foot in that studio ever again.

00:09:12 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 7:

I know. That's what I'm thinking.

00:09:14 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. Yes, all right, so that's what I'm like.

00:09:24 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 7:

Lydia, let's get your grandma or somebody here. See what we can get going on.

00:09:28 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, my grandma will call her.

00:09:29 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 7:

All right, or let's get the lady who said that. Let's do that. All right, we'll be right back.

00:09:35 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, don't call me mom. Yeah, don't call me mom.
