The crowd sighs Right? so trying to have a nice uh valentine's meal with chelsea and uh listen we really don't celebrate valentine's day we've been married a long time and you know we uh we love each other every day of the year and not just valentine's right exactly sure so we we ended up going to a nice restaurant downtown. And I've never been one that has ever thought that there should be rules on parents bringing children into restaurants. But I am now starting to think differently about this. And it all stems from what happened to us when we were there. So we're at a nice restaurant. And I would say this to you. It's not a Red Robin. Okay. Not that Red Robin's not nice, but Red Robin has family-friendly fare, okay? This is a restaurant that I typically would think that you would see mainly adults in. And at the table next to us, all I could hear the entire meal was this kid's iPad blaring some kid's show, like Bluey or Paw Patrol or something like that on it. I mean, it was so loud. And you guys know that iPads typically don't ever sound like that loud, but it was so loud that I could hear the dialogue of the show that was on, that this kid was, yes. Bluey's a great show. All right. Are you a Paw Patrol also or no? Just Bluey. Is Bluey.

this kid was not loving it either because this kid had nothing you know, no excitement level when he was watching this thing. Then, this kid, so this kid's out with his mom and his dad while I am out with my wife and there's countless tables out with no other children in the entire restaurant. This kid gets up and starts running around the restaurant. And this is where it got really weird and if you're a server i want to know what your thoughts are on this one if you work in a restaurant tell us what your thoughts are on this the kids running around while the parents are still sitting at the table and the parents are letting the kid kind of like play games like doing like ring around the rosie around their table only to have one of the waitresses carrying a tray full of what looked like five you know plates full of food just barrel this son of a bitch over oh no i mean i'm not kidding you everything went everywhere i'm not no she was able to keep it uh together and kind of keep the things the kid ended up flying across the room oh did you smile did you smirk a little bit spike i'm so glad that you actually said this because the kid ended up flying across the room hitting his head and the only two people that gave a crap about it were his mom and his dad everybody else looked it was great everybody did that one of these things here you can get the camera on me

ass about this little kid that had been just bothering them it was almost kind of like people felt like we were justified in that and the waitress didn't even stop and nobody from the restaurant came over to see if the kid was okay because i think the restaurant was so fed up with the fact that this kid was doing this was causing this you know why why f them babies yes

you are absolutely right and really in this case it's f those parents yeah you know because i i had the same thing happen sunday morning we're out to breakfast and and the booth next to us they had the device so loud that i couldn't hear my daughter talking to me i kept asking her what what are you what is that what class and then by the end i made a joke like well we can't leave yet i paid the bill but i'm like we can't leave i have to see how the show ends that she's watching because

i've been listening to it for a half hour it was uh spike it was so loud the i don't know it was louder the kids ipad or when the kids head thudded against the ground i don't know how like i get so

much anxiety in those situations i don't know how it even gets to that level of of like being that

out of control. The only time the mom paid attention in my case was when she was mad because the child somehow logged her out of something.

So there is a restaurant that's getting a lot of crap. It came out in the news yesterday. You might have seen it. The restaurant's getting crap for the fact that they have some nice Italian place on the east coast they have now said that you cannot bring a child under the age of 10 years old to the restaurant i love it they have banned uh little kids i love it guess what you're doing

it for the kids that's so unsafe they you could have spilled a hot italian dish or soup on that child and it would have been the child's fault but guess who would be suing the restaurant

and they're going to the lengths of they will not they they are will turn you away if you do try to bring somebody that looks like they're they're gonna i don't know if they're gonna

card the kids it's their restaurant their rules but they're also one of the things that they're

going to do is they're not going to offer any kind of child fair food like you know food that they

you know will be something good for them i've said it before man there are kids only places there needs to be kids never places like yeah it's gotta happen you just said that's the solution if

they remove all the kids meals from the menu at least that's going to cut down because because if you have little kids you're not going to take into a place where the kid's not going to like

anything that's for spaghetti what i what i honestly thought is i thought that the restaurant should just charge like a cover for the kid and the cover should be like eight hundred dollars

or something like that and it's a tip for the server that has to deal with yeah see i don't

think changing the food is going to change it because when you change the food those same parents are the parents that order their kids a rack of ribs and then expect you to charge them

But we had to leave because he was being a total a-hole. And we had to get up and go. And it's embarrassing, you know, and we did not get our veggie patch pizza yet.
