I'm back, baby. Bianca, what did you do this weekend besides hang out with us and go to the concert?

So I actually went to a little event yesterday. It was for my friend. I normally don't really plan what I'm doing. I'm just like, all right, text me the time, place, and I'm there. And that's kind of the way I run. So they said it was a dress code, flower dresses, really cute. And under impression, I thought it was a birthday party. So I went to the store, got a birthday card, got a little birthday gift. wrote a really nice message in the birthday card, too. I showed up to the function, and I was like, Happy birthday, Grace! And she's like, It's a graduation party, but a birthday will do. No. I was like, what?

You thought it was her birthday.

I thought it was a birthday party.

But it turned out to be a graduation.

How did you get that mixed up? I have no idea. And all the graduation decorations are everywhere. She was graduating from MSU, so all this MSU stuff. and i did not recognize or realize any of it and all these people are like you're joking like you knew you knew it's graduation and i'm like no i literally this is such a bianca story i'm like what how did i not know and literally she opened up the birthday card heavy i was like how did i mess this up like how did i not know like i was like

laughing like how did you not know this like i actually don't know how i didn't know like that's

actually so embarrassing at least you had something though for her because have you ever gone to somebody's has anybody ever had this you went to a person's party and you didn't realize it was actually like a party where you should have brought a gift yeah and you go to the party

thing why not with dress codes wait okay why is it a flower dress dress code for a graduation party that that's the part to me that doesn't mess it up but apparently her birthday's in august but i

did not know that i'm a fake friend i well i will i will say this to you that was nice of you to come because we just talked a few moments ago about not going to the stuff like actually saying you're

gonna go but you end up not going to the thing made an appearance ate some subs and pizza and

then kind of dipped your your party was kind of wild like that kev i was a banger last year that was like the party of parties where it's like all of a sudden we were like is this kevin's like big birthday like is this like a 30th or 35th birthday and it was like what are you it was 34 34 it was

like why have a party that big for a 34 because you got to celebrate life but i'm for that though i think i don't know what the topic that you're gonna go with is but i think you should celebrate graduation. Really? I don't see any reason why you shouldn't have a graduation party when you graduate college. You worked your ass off for four or so years. You should celebrate that.

That's an accomplishment. I thought it was just a high school thing. I think it's a high school thing

too. So when you graduate college, how do you celebrate? We went out to dinner. My parents took me out

to dinner.

I'm not going to lie, I had a little graduation party. It was like 10 of my friends. We just got food in my house and went out to the bars after. That was my graduation party. My mom's like, I'm not doing a high school graduation again. That's so much work. Yeah. Money. Yes.

You know, it would be honestly the funniest thing to do. And I can't do it to you guys now, but I should do this. I should invite people.

to my house just for a random come over to the house and when they show up at the house

i have birthday streamers and everything all over yeah i would trap my pants if i if that happened

and i didn't have anything for you or with graduations you know how they do the high school graduations where they'll line up pictures of the kid throughout the years and like they'll have or they'll have the sign in front of the house that says congratulations yeah the grad right there so welcome to my party yeah bianca by the way showing up at the uh at the party uh

Congratulations. We got to do that in the dirty. David Montgomery, best running back in football last year. He ended up going back and got his degree and had his graduation over the weekend, which was cool. Was it Iowa State, I want to say? Yes. It was? Yeah. Okay. That was pretty cool. That was actually cool. Melissa, what would you do if you showed up at a party empty-handed and found out later that it was somebody throwing a birthday party?

Just take food and leave. And leave.

I would run at least to the party store or whatever. Like, I love going over to the party store with the brass mug because they have, like, gift bags and things like that in there. And you can fake it. Like, you can fake it, like, at least buy them a bottle of booze or something. Yeah. But, I mean, the flower dress is what threw me, though. Same. I want to focus on that.

You created a. Like, a dress code for a graduation party? That's weird. I'm like, I've never seen that before. And that's what I thought was a birthday party, because usually when I go to birthday parties, there's, like, dress codes or, like, themes.

Did you have a flower dress or did you have to buy one?

I went to Meijer, actually. I got a skirt. I did. Before the function. That's where I got the birthday present.

I think high school is mandatory. And the party is more for the parents, celebrating that they made it through high school.

Yeah.

Definitely a college graduation should be more celebratory because they have to pay for it. They have to work for it. It's not mandatory. If you don't fill up, they're not going to call you. They're not going to screw in for you.

I feel like the high school graduation, though, is where you kind of give the kid money so that he has, I don't know, beer money or something for like their freshman year or whatever. You know, you kind of help them out a little bit with it.

But I think that the party for the high school is more for the parents celebrating that they made it.

You think? Okay.

But the college party graduation is more for the person graduating.

Hi. How are you guys? What's going on? Good morning. So I just wanted to say I am 34. After 10 years of no school, I decided to go back, and I worked for six years to get my bachelor's. And two weeks ago, I finally graduated. I'm a single mom. I work full-time. And I'm not something I'm proud of. That's right. Throw that party. That is incredible.

So are you going to throw that party?

Yeah, honestly, I don't want to do nothing too crazy because I don't want to host my own party, stress myself out, celebrate myself. So we're probably going to do like a big bonfire, have everyone bring a dish as has, BYOB, bring a chair, make some decorations as a cake. But I'd say to have a good time. That's right.
