play date yes it was on a play date um recently and so i i went to go pick him up and the one takeaway that he needed to tell me about when he got into the car was this mom there were bloody tampons in the garbage cans in the bathroom and I just had to laugh because this little boy that he was playing with has an older sister and I think the situation is that all the kids share the same bathroom and maybe nobody has shared with her yet that you need to rep those things and toilet paper before you throw them in the garbage can but he was just absolutely appalled that he saw bloody tampons when he went to the bathroom isn't it funny i was like did you have fun and he's like yeah but mom tampons isn't it isn't it funny that when you ask the takeaway

of what they did like they they could have gone to cedar point during this time that they were together nope didn't matter that's the one thing that he comes back with is that by the way uh Apologize to the girl that had the bloody tattoos that now we're talking about.

But here's the thing. It made me laugh and remember all of my friends growing up when I was Smith's age, first grade, second grade, whatever, elementary school. And there was always that something that you noticed at somebody's house that you spent the night at or had a play date with. Yeah.

Do you know what I mean? Oh, my girlfriend's older sisters had their first bras. And I remember all of us going in and being like, a bra! First time.

but I will say this he had a picture, he had two younger brothers he had a picture where he was laying on his stomach with his elbows on the ground and both hands on his cheeks with his brothers on the side with his feet in the air dangling we clawed him for months

you ever had that i'm just letting you have your moment i had that but it was it was the story was going in a different direction i feel like it's why i didn't drink for so long because His older brother had come home in the middle of the night and he must have went out and secretly drank and was vomiting everywhere. And I remember mom and dad screaming at the top of their lungs at him. And I was so scared. I was in a sleeping bag on the floor and I was so scared. I'm like, I just want to go home. I did not want to be there anymore. And I realized it was because he had drank too much. I was probably in fourth or fifth grade.

And I'll never forget it. John Martin's mom was like something out of like a movie. This is going to hurt. She was so hot, by the way. And we would go over to the house, and she smoked a cigarette that was the longest cigarette I have ever seen. This is when cigarettes still were kind of like the thing. Yeah. She had a cigarette that might have been the longest cigarette ever. Did they put it in a thing? Did she put it like in one of those things? No, it was by itself. So my first sleepover ever, I remember my friend had, like, spaghetti out on the stove and wanted to know if I wanted to eat. I'm like, I'm good because their house was kind of messy. Unbelievable. We had a friend of ours that we used to sleep over at his house, Tom Sexton, and Tom would always leave us. Like, we would sleep in his basement, and he would always leave us because he wanted a good night's sleep, and he'd go to his room. And I remember as a kid going, we're down in the basement where it's got like...

It's got like the concrete floor with a freaking, you know, sleeping bag on top, and Tom's going up to a sealy post-rumpedic. I'm like, this guy's a dick, you know? But it's funny because my kids were different. My kids, Joe had a ton of sleepovers. He would have his, and by the way, what's up with guys turning gay during sleepovers? All the guys used to do, they would like, it was the basketball team would all come over and all the guys would sit there and like, they would try to like walk in on guys in the showers or do something like they would do things to each other we used to make fun of joe all the time we used to say that he and one of the kids that was on his basketball team were like what are you guys doing in the bathroom together this is why my mama never let me sleep at people's house really and these kids were like oh i wasn't doing anything at all but then then the other one was jacob would never have sleepovers like he would tell kids you have to leave my house by nine o'clock because i want a good night's sleep i love him he was not about sleepovers at all DeAndre, what's up?

I'm just tired. I woke up kind of late and everything. But I remember I would stay at night at my friend's house and his dad would wake up every morning by like 4 or 5 in the morning and go to work. And he would be like a very cheap guy and sneak over and always unplug our phones just so he can save money. And just wake us up at 4 o'clock in the morning. It would just always just make us mad.

He would turn the power off to your phones. What happened if your phone died then? You had no phone.

I mean, he was, you know, got dressed and left early, so he just had to wake up and plug it back in and then turn off the lights on just to make him mad as soon as he left the house.

John Joyce's dad answered the door the first time I went to his house, and I thought it was John's grandpa because he didn't have his toupee on. And this is no joke. You've got to have Tom Barrett tell the story. Tom Barrett tells the story great. I said, hey, John, your grandpa is a really nice guy. That's my dad. I'm like, oh, my God. I had no clue. The guy looks so different without his hair on. Jordan, what's going on?

so i had uh when i was over at a friend's house um his mom would walk around and just oh how old are you guys no no before you get all excited mojo yeah i never went back again Why? Because it was definitely not a bra you wanted to do.

It would be like seeing me walking around with bra panties on.

Did they hang past the waistline of her jeans? No, they are. She didn't invite me back and go, I am busy. It happens.

it's karen oh first time long time hey what's going on oh not much i had a story where i was a teenager at the time and i went to their house and it was a weird house in every way but the worst was when we got ready to go to bed the dad had all these ocd things about where you could sleep and why you shouldn't sleep in certain places so for example i got on the couch and he came in very awkwardly and told me i shouldn't sleep there because there was a ceiling fan over top of it and the globe of like he had this story he's like the globe could fall and it was very weird so i had to like keep moving around the house and try and find a you know space that

was good for him do you do you ever think that the dad had cameras all set up and he was just taping the girls because i think that's scary i hear these stories years later about these parents and they go over the house and then you find out that you know dad was uh was a pedophile or

something crazy oh my gosh i never even thought about that he was just such a weird guy i mean and he was i think he was sincere though because he he just seemed really really nervous he's like you know this pan it really shakes that globe could fall and then there was another place where it was like by the window and there was something about the window and it was just i'm telling you

if i had kids nowadays not that people were not bad in the past but i feel like i'm smarter and also more cautious i would never let my kids have a sleepover or go to somebody's house i think the liability of kids coming over to your house and then also the idea of that like what if that dad was videotaping you or something like that like i don't want my kid part of that old crap yeah yeah

I never even thought of that nightmare until now, but thank you.
