old. So sweet. She is. She woke up just on cue. Did she wake up on cue? She didn't. She wouldn't wake up. But I'm like, oh, she's the host. She knew something was

John we received a letter From a very special person For our breaking and entering Christmas wish program And we heard the story of what's been happening to you guys, and I want them to read you the letter. Is that okay? Sure. Take a listen.

Dear Mojo in the morning, my name is Susan Polis, and I would love for you to consider granting a wish for a new little family. Kylie and John Zimmer were together for nine years and married for about five of those. They were the epitome of love. Kylie was a bundle of joy, always upbeat and ready to give you a hug or kind words john is on the quieter side but his love for his wife has always been evident last spring on their anniversary kylie and john announced the impending birth of their daughter nora she was born at the end of september

and is just three months old. She's a happy newborn and the cutest thing you will ever see. But then tragedy struck. We lost Kylie on November 26th. She unexpectedly passed away at only 29 years old. We lost her smile and her light in this world. There was a huge hole where Kylie was. She left her husband, now the only parent for this tiny little girl. He's a phenomenal father, but I know he was not ready to do this without his wife. Kylie also left her parents, two sisters, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all who are very close and are very devastated. Mojo, please grant a wish for John and Nora. A wish, while it won't bring Kylie back, will show how much they are loved and that we care about them. Thank you for your consideration. Much love, honorary Aunt Susan.

And I mean, even just buying pacifiers, a pack of pacifiers to us, put a smile on our face, but also brought tears to our eyes. We've got so much stuff for Nora that Nora is going to be taken care of. But we also wanted to take care of you. I'm so happy to know that you went out with some buddies last night. I'm happy to know that we're also going to help you out, too. Grandma and Grandpa, are you OK with doing a little bit more babysitting?

John's going to need some time So John, we've got a whole bunch of stuff for you Gifts and things But we're also going to Along with our friends over at the Detroit Red Wings We're going to set you up with a great pair of tickets So that you can go to a game Oh nice We've provided everything for you The parking and great seats And I want you to just have a great night And so you can come home And then be with Nora and be able to enjoy that beautiful baby of yours.

We got you all sorts of stuff, Red Wing stuff. We heard you love golf. People told us all about you, John. It's almost creepy how much we know about you, John, okay? Oh, yeah. We got that grill you want. So lots of golf stuff, the grill, the Apple Watch. Comcast is hooking you up with a brand-new laptop. And after today, you will need pretty much nothing for baby Nora. I mean, we did that much shopping, okay?

It's been a while since our little babies were that little, but to be able to buy all those things and see the familiar Baby Einstein stuff and Leapfrog and Baby Shark.

Even hearing Graco Travel System, I was like, oh my God, it took me forever to put these things together. I love it. So we're going to make sure Nora is set up.

Postpartum is one of the most, you know, not talked about things that people don't understand after having a baby, the thing that new moms go through.

It's very real and very devastating.

Yeah, absolutely. Could you tell our listeners a little bit about Kylie, about Nora's beautiful mom?

Kylie's sister, you want to say something about Kylie?

Emily, right? Yeah. There's really not much to say here. They're truly one of a kind. Sorry. She took everybody in. I'm honorary at Susan, and I am honorary at Susan because she called me at Susan from the time she was little. And she's just happy. She's just a happy girl. She still is, I'm sure. Loved deep and loved heart. Everybody that she came encounter with. Several of her friends are here who love her, too.

Well, we feel her, too. And I felt her when I saw this letter. Susan, your letter was so beautiful, and it was so well-written, but I really felt the presence of this story and this tragedy. But I also want you to know that Nora will not be forgotten, that she may only be two months old, but for years to come, the Mojo in the Morning show is going to remember John and Nora and the beautiful family that you have, buddy.

A love as powerful as Kylie's leaves its mark, and it's obvious in how you guys speak about her. it's obvious in how even after she's gone, that letter got to us to let us know that we have to make sure that we're all there for Nora. And as people on this show, as we have personally experienced postpartum depression in various stages, we have to remind listeners that some women aren't diagnosed until the disease is already established. It's rare in that situation that you don't know you're going to have a problem until you have a problem. And that sometimes it's immediate and sometimes it's months or a year later and it's something we often be aware of and really protect the mothers as what they're going through is sometimes ignored because we're all so focused on a baby i want to wish you guys a merry christmas and i want to let
