It is time now to grant a breaking and entering Christmas wish. we go live to kp who is out on the streets this morning with a very sad story about the loss of a husband and a father hi kp hi guys good morning kp good morning to uh our buddy jack is jack out there with you right there what's up what's up brother it's good to talk to you again man oh same here what a great friend i mean this is you know if a wish that kind of reminds me of our relationship we all have where we all talk to each other every single day we kind of feel like we get to know each other and our family so much because we all talk about our stories all the time jack you and john would tell so many different stories and he talked about his boys like crazy

didn't he yes he did he was a very uh you know so proud of his boys you know they're wonderful kids i i there's not i can't say enough about what he how he felt about his kids yeah and you guys would

I also talk a little sports, too. He was a huge Spartan fan as well as a big Lions fan. And this is such a tragedy that he leaves behind this beautiful woman to now have to try to figure out how to pick up the pieces for this family. We're going to grant a Christmas wish for them. Hi, Carrie. Hello.

Hi, Carrie. It's Mojo from Mojo in the Morning Show. I'm calling you bright and early. I know you're like, okay, so what is going on here? Why are you calling me? I'm calling you because we received a letter here to our show for our Mojo in the Morning breaking and entering Christmas wish program from one of John's co-workers.

Okay.

And we just wanted to let you know, first off, we're very, very sorry for your loss, but I'm going to have him read you this letter, okay?

Okay. Day, Monday, in the morning. My name is Jack. I have listened to you for 23 years and have heard all the wonderful Christmas wishes that you have granted. I'm asking that you consider my co-worker and good friend john and his family for this year's breaking and entering christmas wish john became ill about a week and a half before thanksgiving he did return to work three days before the holiday but left because he still didn't feel well john ended up passing away the day before Thanksgiving. Leaving behind his wife Carrie and their two sons. John and I would hang out together and talk sports and family. He loved bowling, was a big fan of the Spartans, and of course the Lions. He loved his family so much and was especially proud of his boys. John had one more year until he I don't know.

was able to retire, but with this sudden tragedy, it has left Carrie and the boys with no income, which means no Christmas. Mojo, if you could find a way to grant this family's Christmas wish, I know they would greatly appreciate it, along with myself. Sincerely, Jack Craig.

Carrie, John was a hardworking guy, and he loved you, and he loved your boys so much. I know this call comes at a time probably where you're getting ready for the holidays, and after this loss, it's very, very hard for you to try to figure out how you're going to stay strong for these boys. Well, we want you to know that we're praying for you, we're caring for you, and we want to make sure that there's one last thing that you have to worry about, and that is where Christmas is going to come this year. And that's why we're going to grant this wish for Jack in memory of his buddy and your love, John. Thank you. We have a little bit of a surprise for you.

um he was generous to his fault um if he could help others he was there to help he had kids later in life he just adored them

oh god it was 27 years ago we met at a bar

what were the holidays like for you guys? what did you guys do during the holidays?

met with friends with our families. Oh, my God. I can understand why you speak.

it with friends when they care about you so much to reach out to us to make sure that you were taken care of this year like this is a very solid group of people that just care about you so much

and care and carry in some way and i don't know if you feel this or not but i feel it in some way i

feel like this is your husband saying merry christmas and in some way spotlighting this letter so that we see it and read it and choose it yeah speaking for his friends he's right on

no we're not not at all oh my goodness carrie we heard so much about you and one of the things we heard is that you give to those boys everything and that's why we're gonna give to them everything that they've wanted. I mean, we've got tons of gifts. I mean, people can see it on our videos. We understand that the kids and their dad used to love sports, so we've got a fun planning of things for you guys. A bunch of lion stuff. Our friends from the Detroit Tigers want your boys to be there at opening day for the Tigers this upcoming season.

So we're going to make that happen. That would be a great memory for you. We heard that

That was, you know, we've kind of seen this year we wanted to take him to the Tigers game. He kept telling me we were going to go, and we just kept putting it off and putting it off. And then this happened, and oh, my gosh.

Well, we heard that Dad was a huge Tigers fan, so we wanted to make sure of that. And then we also heard that you guys were wanting to do some kind of a family vacation. And sometimes getting away is the best way to help you get through some of these times. And we've got a special trip planned for you.

Yeah, we are, you guys are headed to Great Wolf Lodge, and every single expense is going to be totally covered for you, okay? We've got Kroger gift cards to make sure that kitchen is full for the holidays. We've got gas cards for you. We're treating you to a spa day because we know that every mom could use that. And we are writing you a big check, okay, to make sure that you don't have to worry during the holidays.

again we even have some furniture for you that we're going to provide because we heard that there was some furniture that you had wanted to buy we want to make sure you have somewhere comfy for you and the boys to lay on and watch christmas movies but one of the things that we heard that to us as a show we could not let go by we had heard that you do love that fireplace but sometimes you run that fireplace because you want to offset the expense of turning your heat on at home. Yes. And we don't want that to happen. When it's cold outside, a fireplace is not going to be warm enough for you. And that's why we're giving you money to help you with your heating bills.
