Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Good to have you guys here with us. It's going to be another nice day. Temperature is going to be unseasonably warm, but we will take those better than unseasonably cold like we've had. So far, I like this June. So far, I'm okay with it. I thought May sucked. I thought that May was a tough one. But this is going to be good. Day one of my May, or my June, was good yesterday. I did my first day of my physical therapy, which was, which, well, you know what? I actually kind of like it. I'm one of those people that enjoys going to doctors and physical therapists and things like that. Interesting. So I have to, because I don't know what this, uh, the story is with me, but I think I'm one of those people that, what is it called when somebody thinks that they're always sick or dying or hypochondriac, am I a hypochondriac? I feel like maybe that might be, but I was sitting there judging myself based around the people that around me like I saw a guy there with a broken leg somebody that looked like they had like an arm issue going on and then I was there with my shoulder and I was sitting there comparing myself to every person that was there and you go well I guess I don't have it as bad as him but I definitely got it better than this guy right here you know what do you do for your physical therapy uh well they kind of walked me through uh Amy is her name at uh what the hell is the place called team rehab team rehab i was like shannon used to do commercials for them and my sister works there i'm going i went i went there because shannon was uh was there the endorser so i want them to know they should place lots of locations continue shannon endorsements because i team rehab because of shannon i i dropped your name uh it didn't really give me anything well that's not the location that she's a pt yet but oh but did you do it just for one her location

00:03:48 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 5:

or no for the whole place no no no i did it for the whole place i thought you meant you dropped

00:03:52 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

my name to see if my sister was. No, no, no. I dropped your name. I said, I said, I heard it on the radio. Like, you know how they always ask you, like when they'll say, how did you hear it? I always, I always say I heard it on the radio, even if I didn't hear it on the radio. I'm a pro radio guy. So if you go to places, tell them you heard it on the radio. So I, um, so I went there. Amy was her name. She was great. Uh, she started off by just kind of talking to me. I hate having to tell the story of why I hurt myself or how I hurt myself because it's embarrassing. I look like an alcoholic drunk you know what i mean and so i uh i was getting ready to tell her and i realized i think she already knew i think she was a listener i think she kind of figured it out um and then we knew each other through a friend uh my buddy scott went to her uh as a physical therapist when he had shoulder surgery so i used his referral too okay so long story short i got a little massage which was nice okay and i got to stretch out my arm didn't fall off my shoulder is okay and i feel okay and i can take the um sling off more now i'll probably take it off a little bit during the show today but i got to be careful still about going like this with my arm i can't do this if i do this with my arm i'm gonna screw myself so i

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 5:

can't do hey it's this big like i can't do shannon's it's this big so if i do that i'm

00:05:05 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 4:

messed up yeah so do you feel better now or does it feel sore uh physical therapy it felt a little

00:05:11 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 5:

sore like because i hadn't been doing it the funny thing was she said to me she goes she goes and tell me uh you know what other exercises have you been doing uh and i go i haven't and she's like um just because you hurt your shoulder doesn't mean that your legs aren't working so she's She's basically telling me you need to do a little bit more than just what you're doing right now. Move a little. All right. Lydia, a quick question for you. Did we roll the tape like we have to do for, I know we don't have our audio guy here today, right? Or what's the story? Because Zach is out.

00:05:49 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 2:

Well, our audio guy, I guess, is a no call, no show. I'm assuming that he overslept, but his phone is off. Okay. We're contacting him.

00:05:58 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 5:

So is somebody rolling the tape in the other room so that we can start recording or do we have to do anything like that?

00:06:04 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 2:

Well, Bianca's trying to do that in the podcast studio, in Zach's studio. Roll the tape.

00:06:09 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 5:

Should I just play a bunch of music right now since we're probably not getting any credit for what we're talking about at this moment? Yeah, I'm telling you, the world falls apart. Zach, hold out. If I'm Zach, what I do is I hold out during the next negotiations that he has.

00:06:24 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:06:24 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 5:

And I hold out because he is very valuable. Zach's been out the last couple of days He's moving into an apartment His first He talked about it on the air His first grown up apartment Completely by himself He's got nobody else with him He's not here today And the world fell apart yesterday I did something yesterday That was like the worst thing That you could possibly do ever And in all the years I've been doing this thing And I've been doing this a long time I completely deleted every bit of audio From yesterday's show So thank God we've got, like, satellites up in the sky that do things. But I honestly have not done that in I don't know how long. Like, I don't remember the last time that I've actually done the whole delete thing.

00:07:09 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 4:

Is it not a delete button? You mean, like, an undo delete? No, no, I mean, like, how do you delete it?

00:07:15 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 5:

Well, because it said, would you like to delete this? And I said, yes.

00:07:20 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 4:

That's how I delete it. I don't think it takes rocket science to know that you're not supposed to say yes to that.

00:07:25 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 5:

Well, but I didn't think it was, I thought it was just deleting the one little thing that I was trying to delete. And it was something that was, you know, non, I didn't need to save. And so I didn't realize it was going to delete the whole thing. So yesterday I'm going through, actually Bianca was helping me. Thank you, Bianca. She was going through trash folders to find out, find all the trash that was there. The funniest thing is I ended up, and don't tell Zach this, but I ended up finding an air check of Zach.

00:07:56 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Play it.

00:07:57 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 5:

No, I want to wait until he comes back.

00:07:59 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 4:

When he comes back, I want to play it. I can't wait.

00:08:01 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 5:

It's Zach in there, and it's like, I think his name was Zachy Z or something. No, he did not.

00:08:08 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 4:

Now, you remember that day we were going through nicknames? Yeah. I wonder if he pulled it from one of those.

00:08:12 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 5:

Honestly, I think that maybe he is applying. Oh, he's here. All right, good.

00:08:17 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 3:

I tried to get the stream going, or not the stream, but, like, with the audio stuff. Desmond just walked in, so he walked... That's our audio guy. No, I got it. I got it going for a minute.

00:08:28 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 5:

So where was Desmond at? Was he just running a late?

00:08:31 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 3:

Did you see him come in, Bianca? No. He didn't text me back. He didn't call me. Dude, the audio's running, though. I got it podcasting right now.

00:08:39 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 5:

All right, we're good. Go, Bianca. So we got everything going.

00:08:42 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 3:

He's okay. Yeah. He looks fine.

00:08:43 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 5:

He's right here. He just looked in the window at us. He just looked in the window. out a fresh shave. Clock in time

00:08:49 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 3:

was like 5.50, but... No, it's

00:08:51 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 5:

okay. As long as he's here. As long as he's here. That's it. That was going to make me a little panicky there, but it's one of those... This is one of those things, though, guys, and this is something for everybody. When you... And I don't know how it works. If somebody works on a line right now, will you call us up? See if Kenyatta is listening to the show. What happens if the guy that puts the bumpers on the car takes two days off to move into his apartment. Do the cars get made with no bumpers? Like, how does this work? Like, we all have our conveyor belt of people here, right?

00:09:27 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 1:

Because we used to have a cushion enough staff that there were subs and backup people. It's like, you're in the game, guy. Get in, check in. It's bare bones at this point over here, as I'm sure is the case at a lot of jobs. And so there aren't really quote unquote backups when certain people are out.

00:09:48 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 4:

And not only is it bare bones, but it's one of those situations where the whole process has changed.

00:09:53 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 1:

Correct.

00:09:53 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

So where people used to be able just to plug and play, you got to relearn a whole new system in order for it to flow.

00:10:00 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 5:

Right. Well, this is where this is where we're doing this whole, you know, hiring a new staff member type thing. And where we're trying to get a new person in here so that you can be part of the show and you hopefully will be able to be trainable and be able to do stuff like this.

00:10:18 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 1:

Everything you do on radio, like be one of the hosts on Mojo in the Morning. Hey, bitch, that's my job. Mojo in the Morning has an opening and it takes real intellect to be on this show.

00:10:27 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 6:

If you're getting flu-ed out, he paying for the price. Flu-ed out. If he paying for the price. You're getting flu-ed out.

00:10:34 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 1:

What? We're talking about things that draw out the best in society.

00:10:37 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 2:

I just wanted to say, this whole topic is so disgusting to me.

00:10:41 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 1:

You work with Mojo, Kev, Lydia, Bianca, Zach, and Sweet, Innocent Shannon.

00:10:46 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 5:

Shannon only likes to watch, basically, hardcore porn. No, no, no, no, no, no. And likes to turn friends on to it, including me and my wife.

00:10:54 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 7:

I did not know what the show was. That was the show.

00:10:56 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 1:

Apply by going to iHeartMediaCareers.com and search Mojo. You'll be one step closer to smelling whatever comes out of Kev's body every morning.

00:11:03 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 7:

Shut up.

00:11:05 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 5:

Oh. That's hard.

00:11:06 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 7:

A heads up, you guys. I'm out next week.

00:11:08 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 5:

Well, it's going to be wonderful.

00:11:10 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 7:

So, it's just you two, but somebody's got to do the weather and the traffic and the dirties. Oh, we got that. So, be prepared. Okay. Because normally, I would have a backup, right? Yes. I had Megan who would do all that, and now we don't have anybody right there, so.

00:11:24 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 6:

Well, I do have training with the dirties, even though you wrote them.

00:11:27 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 7:

I think you do great dirties. You guys, Desmond was locked out. His phone was dead, so he couldn't get in.

00:11:32 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 5:

Locked out of what?

00:11:33 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 7:

The studio? The building?

00:11:34 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 5:

Poor guy. Because our phones are what get you into the building. Yeah. Yes. Oh, wow.

00:11:38 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 6:

Wait, so you mean he was able to get in through the original entrance, but through the entrance to get to the studio, he was locked out.

00:11:44 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 5:

Oh, the security person had to let him in.

00:11:47 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, security had to let him in. Gotcha.

00:11:48 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 5:

Wow, I never thought about that, that if you don't have your phone charged that you can't get into the building because that's how you get in. That's your key card.

00:11:56 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 6:

It happened to me later in the day when there were actually people here and you just beat like your SWAT. Yeah. Somebody will finally open it.

00:12:03 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 5:

That's where you honestly find a potted plant and throw it through the window. By the way, Shannon, next week filling in for you will not be me literally erasing everything. I can't figure it out. But Kenyatta, what happens to you when you have the one person on the line that doesn't show up to work? How do you guys survive at 40? Oh, really? Like yesterday?

00:12:27 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 2:

Like yesterday, we only run all the lines. We just don't run all the lines unless there's a whole lot of people that shut the plant down.

00:12:37 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 6:

Wow. Has that ever happened?

00:12:42 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 3:

When it's bad weather sometimes. If enough people don't come in, they'll send everybody else home.

00:12:47 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 5:

Wow. You know what? My favorite cars in the world from Ford Motor Company aren't getting made because one guy, one guy doesn't show up to work. Why don't we do that in radio? Why don't we all go home?

00:12:59 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 6:

Say we test it out.

00:13:01 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 5:

Well, I'm happy to know that that person's that valuable that everybody gets to go home if they're not there.

00:13:09 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 2:

But not enough people.

00:13:10 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 5:

Wow. Love you. We'll talk to you later.

00:13:13 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 2:

Love you.

00:13:14 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 5:

Jennifer, also, you work at a plant. What plant do you work at?

00:13:19 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 4:

I work in Flint. I work for GM.

00:13:23 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 5:

Okay. And is what happens over at Kenyatta's plant just like what happens at your plant if somebody doesn't show up?

00:13:30 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 4:

No, no. We've got a lot of people. We've got a lot of AR people that cover jobs when people are not here. And we have a lot of cops that will cover jobs too.

00:13:40 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 5:

All right. Okay. Things are a little bit easier over at GM compared to Ford there. Oh, yeah.

00:13:46 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, we build the heavy duty truck.

00:13:50 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 5:

Make me a Tahoe with that Super Duty or Super Cruise or whatever it is. That's what I'm looking to buy.

00:13:55 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 4:

You want that bad.

00:13:56 - 00:13:57 | Speaker 5:

I do.

00:13:57 - 00:14:05 | Speaker 4:

We build the Silverados and the $25,000 to $3,500 and the Dupos.

00:14:05 - 00:14:12 | Speaker 5:

Oh, wow, those are the big ones. Those are too big for me. It cost me an arm and a leg to try to be able to drive that back and forth. What's going on, Amanda? Hello.

00:14:13 - 00:14:15 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, guys. How are you? Good morning.

00:14:15 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 5:

We're doing good. Wait, Amanda, do you know how to save audio?

00:14:20 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 4:

I do not.

00:14:21 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 5:

I'm telling you, if you're somebody that works at a plant, you know what you're doing. You could do this job. I'm telling you. What do you do?

00:14:27 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 4:

I build seats for General Motors.

00:14:29 - 00:14:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh, really? Okay.

00:14:31 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

00:14:31 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 5:

So you build the seats or put them in the car?

00:14:34 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 4:

No, I build the seats. I work at Magna, and we're contracted by General Motors.

00:14:38 - 00:14:39 | Speaker 5:

That's amazing.

00:14:39 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 4:

Lake Orient Assembly? Yes.

00:14:41 - 00:14:56 | Speaker 5:

I'm always interested in this. Why don't we make the seats like a love seat? Like, you know what I mean? Like, why don't we make it as comfortable? Like, why doesn't Lazy Boy do a thing with General Motors so that the leg pops up while you're driving so your feet don't have to touch the floor?

00:14:56 - 00:15:21 | Speaker 4:

You're turning the far feet as you're driving. But who cares? These cars can drive themselves. We can figure this all out. I'd like a cup holder as comfortable as my lazy boy. I like that. You know what I mean? I want it right in front of me. We're at Imagine. You know what I do? I want it to be like Imagine where it goes all the way back. That's right. And get those great seats. Vibrate. Oh, yes. Hey, what kind of car are you driving, Amanda? Are you single?

00:15:21 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 6:

The new Buicks have those in them.

00:15:23 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 4:

Do they really?

00:15:24 - 00:15:28 | Speaker 6:

Massage seats. Really? Oh, they're so wonderful. Yeah. The front seats.

00:15:28 - 00:15:31 | Speaker 4:

Has anybody orgasmed ever from their car's massage sheets?

00:15:31 - 00:15:33 | Speaker 6:

You know what? I had those seats.

00:15:35 - 00:15:41 | Speaker 4:

Try it out. What's wrong with me? See what happens. All right, well. Brian Moran.

00:15:43 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 6:

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:16:50 - 00:17:35 | Speaker 2:

My name is Patrick Pettway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. For me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition, not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, so I don't use technology too much, but it was very understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast. These past two years, things have just moved in a total different type of way. It's like its own moving entity to see things manifest the way that they do.
