mojo in the morning show mike is one of the most inquisitive people ever and you're a car guy you love he loves cars like he you know i think that for for mike when he sees a car nice looking car he wants to know a little bit more about it well the other day he feels he got busted by snooping into somebody's car so you got to be careful nowadays mike because these cars are have high

tech in them well that's what i that's what i hear and maybe you guys can tell me uh what's the situation here because i saw a tesla in the parking lot and you see him driving all over the place but i've never really had a chance to to look at one in person i know that seems very very uh small town of me to say but i've never had a chance to just walk up to a tesla and and look inside one and look at this the screen and everything inside of it and i could google it But it's cooler in person. So I saw this one in the parking lot, and I'm like, all right, I'm just going to go check it out. Like, it was a white. I don't even know what they're, like, the type of Teslas they have or whatever.

They do it by letters. So it's like X's and Y's and ABCD's. Okay, I don't know. I don't know what it is.

Yeah, it was just a white car.

It looked pretty cool. It looked pretty sleek. Is it one of those ones that has the doors that open up like a spaceship?

No, I did see that last night, though, in the parking lot for Paw Patrol.

I've always wondered when people have those doors, if you're a bigger person and you're parked in a small spot, can your door still open or are you locked in your car?

That's a problem. I've always wanted to know that. I still haven't been in a Tesla yet either, Mike.

So were you driving or did you just sit there and look into it or was the person around?

No, no. So I just looked in it because it didn't have like tin of windows or anything. So I looked in it. It's got the big screen. It looks very similar to the new Kia EVs or whatever, but it's the original, so I wanted to see what it looked like. And so I look at it. It's got screens or whatever, this giant screen in the center. It looks like an iPad, doesn't it, right there in the center console? Yeah. I wonder why. And so they don't have a speedometer at all? It's all on that screen?

No, it's all on that screen. That's kind of cool. Yeah, you see everything. It kind of weirds me out a little bit. The only thing that weirds me out about a Tesla, not so much the interior of it, is you can't hear it. so you cannot hear that so it sneaks up on you sometimes i'll be walking the dogs and somebody will be driving a tesla and it'll be like oh where the hell did you come from

i start going up so i hope it wasn't on then because i start like messing around and like i'm like hey dude because i got a buddy with me i'm like hey dude take a take a video or a picture whatever and i want to make it look like i'm sitting here driving this tesla i'll do something with social media on it or something i'll be funny i'll send it to you guys and you And you guys will tell me I'm dumb or laugh at it or whatever. And as we start doing the video, he's like, hold up, hold up, hold up. I don't think we should do this. And I was like, why? He's like, I'm pretty sure Teslas have cameras on them to monitor if somebody's looking or touching or. They do? I don't know.

Does your Tesla have, like, cameras that can actually see people looking at your car?

Yeah, so if you walk up to it, it will say, like, you're being recorded. Now you have to put a USB drive into it for it to actually, like, to be recorded.

Yeah.

So you may not have it in there, but it will record any time.

So it's like a ring camera on your car.

Yeah, it kind of is. Even if it's like my, because my phone is my key.

So if it doesn't recognize it for some reason, like, it will record me trying to get into my car. But I also have the Model X with the spaceship doors at one point, and it will adjust. So, like, if you're in a parking garage or if you're parked really close, they will go more in and up. So it adjusts based off of how close you are.

Oh, that's cool. So you can't get locked in your car or stuck in there if you go into a tight squeeze. That's wild. That's the other thing that's wild about those cars is that you don't have a key, right? What is your thing that starts that car?

Your phone. Your phone is your key. They do have a credit card type thing that if you want to take for a valet, that you can give them that will start the car. But just use your key. So, you know, it's nice.

A lot of car manufacturers are working their way towards that, too. I would love that. In the future, I don't think we're going to be having key fobs and keys.

I keep my phone with me all the time. The only problem is you've got to make sure your phone has a battery charged, right? So you've got to stay on top of that. Can I tell you something that's funny? about mike doing this is that i used to be the guy or the kid so to speak i don't think i do it now as an adult that would walk up to the car and i'd always stick my nose right up to it to look inside to see what it looks like yeah and i remember back when cars had the sensitivity of the alarm system where if you touched it the alarm would go off yeah and always the alarms would go off and i'd be like standing back going i swear to god i was just sitting there looking at that thing But I was like Mike with the I always want to look In people's cars And nowadays I'm afraid to do it because

It's so great. No. That's a good time of year to do it because the weather is at least nice. They always did it in the wintertime back in the day, and it was just too cold.

um no not as much so i'm not as big on older cars i have been later so can i tell you what every guy my age so if you're over the age of 45 and you're between like 45 and six years old i'm 52 every guy wants the car they couldn't afford when they were 16 yeah so everybody so i was talking to buddies of mine friends of mine like everybody's been trying to get irox z's and so these guys that those are now the cars that everybody wanted you remember when irox z was It's like a Camaro, you know, it looks like that. But everybody wanted an IROC Z when they were 16 years old and you can't do it. Well, now you might have some money and you go, you know, that's kind of like, you know, what I want.

And then everybody looks at you going, oh, he's got a midlife crisis.

Well, it's funny because I said to Chelsea, I told Chelsea, I go, I would love to, I've always wanted to have a Camaro. But I joked even earlier this morning saying I wasn't like big enough to have the thing. The thing that I want, like the car that I would love, my neighbor had an international harvester. They made these SUVs for a little bit What is that?

I loved my Chargers, and I'm so glad I don't have one now. It's like the most stolen car in the Midwest. Oh, yeah. But I had three of them in a row, and I loved them.

When I was growing up, my dad had a little MG, which is like this little two-seater convertible. And those are some of my favorite memories of being four, five, six years old and sitting in the front seat with him. And that's how he taught me how to drive stick, which I don't know. Well, last year he said he was selling it. And it made me so sad because that's my childhood. So he was so excited to find out that I was bummed he was selling it. He is gifting it to me and teaching me how to drive. I'll teach you. Stick. Okay, you can teach me too. Yeah.

So I'm going to have this little... He has to work on it. It's not in drivable condition right now. But it's going to be like a project for him and Wes to do so that I can have this core.
