All right, it's Mojo in the morning show. Yesterday, I did something on the show that was kind of just impromptu, but it was funny. we had my wife on and while we were talking about I think we were talking about how there's going to be AI wives or something and so I had Chelsea on asking her if I can get an AI version of her and after the conversation was done I said I love you to her and Chelsea just hung up the phone let me play it for you oh god alright I'll talk to you later I love you alright bye alright wait I love you I love you

00:01:48 - 00:01:51 | Speaker 3:

oh see I call right

00:01:51 - 00:01:52 | Speaker 5:

she just hung up

00:01:52 - 00:01:54 | Speaker 3:

I called right back.

00:01:54 - 00:01:57 | Speaker 5:

Hold on a second. Hold on. Dialing her back up. That's crazy.

00:01:58 - 00:01:59 | Speaker 3:

You think I'm joking? I really do. Yeah.

00:01:59 - 00:02:09 | Speaker 5:

You can't do that to me. That's crazy. Hold on a second. You do it. And when they answer, I'm like, what if I get into it?

00:02:12 - 00:02:15 | Speaker 1:

Don't answer her all day today. Act like you're dead. All day.

00:02:15 - 00:02:22 | Speaker 5:

That is mean. You can't leave me hanging like that. How dare she? Oh, here she goes.

00:02:23 - 00:02:23 | Speaker 3:

Hello?

00:02:24 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 7:

All right. Tell me you love me.

00:02:25 - 00:02:26 | Speaker 5:

You didn't say I love you back.

00:02:27 - 00:02:28 | Speaker 3:

I didn't?

00:02:29 - 00:02:31 | Speaker 5:

No. We love you, too. Come on.

00:02:31 - 00:02:34 | Speaker 3:

You should just know that I do. Oh, I do.

00:02:35 - 00:02:39 | Speaker 5:

That is true, by the way. You do. I know you do. All right. I'll talk to you later.

00:02:39 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 3:

I love you. Bye.

00:02:41 - 00:03:12 | Speaker 5:

All right. So there you go. So that was yesterday. I had a listener come up to me yesterday. I was out. I had a lunch with one of our big executives here. and then afterwards I ran into some errands and got my car washed and stuff and a listener come up, big fan of the show said, I heard Chelsea not say I love you to you, I love when you call her back and then told me oh what did I just do today, was that me? I'm sorry, what did I do? I knocked something off by moving my microphone? Your filter Oh I moved my filter? You have a filter? I have a filter, what is a filter?

00:03:12 - 00:03:16 | Speaker 3:

You have the mic. Oh my mic Oh my light fell

00:03:16 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 5:

Sorry about that, we'll fix that Sit still so the so the listener the listener said uh to me that was so funny when you call chelsea back but then they said and they got deep with me and they said that they've been married for years and i asked how long it's like more than 10 years it was like uh almost 11 years and they have not said i love you to their spouse and it was heartbreaking to me yes they said that no they said that they've said i love you before but they said that they're kind of like in their thing right now and they don't hate each other but they don't say i love you and it's wild because i think i'm the exact opposite i say i love you to the operator that answers my phone call i am the same way i tell everybody i love them which sometimes bothers chelsea because it makes her feel like i discount that those actual words i say it especially to my friends and my family

00:04:13 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 3:

and this is such a morbid thought but i'm like if this is the last time i ever talked to you or vice versa i want you to know i love you i think about that a lot and by the way if i say love you in a text message and like wes for example or lucy doesn't say it back i do the eyes that are looking

00:04:32 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 1:

sideways like hello yeah i said something respond back so every time scott makes on the show i'll say i love you and he says whatever it's very funny and i get it it's like a running joke now But I text him immediately and I'm saying, I'll say, tell me you love me right now or we're going to be fighting. Like, you have to say it.

00:04:49 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:04:49 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

I would love to know if there are any other listeners that are like, and maybe she's listening to the show. Are there any other listeners that.

00:05:00 - 00:05:07 | Speaker 3:

But don't say I love you like you guys just don't tell you tell your person that you'll you know that you're in a relationship with that you love them.

00:05:07 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 4:

I would be so insecure. I know I want to go back to something you said about you saying I love you to any and everybody and maybe Chelsea perceives that is it not as special when you say it to her.

00:05:20 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 3:

Right. Like you you really think that's a thing. She has said that before. Like, we've talked about that before. Because she says, I don't need to tell you I love you all the time just for you to know that I love you. She says, it's my actions that are speaking louder than the words that are speaking. Plus, you also say this. And honestly, when I think about it, I've talked to my therapist about it. And my therapist has said to me, he's like, you know what? she brings up a really good point you know that you shouldn't have to always hear it but also maybe you've discounted the actual words i love you by who you're telling you love them a complete stranger you're telling that uh that you love don't you say it different when it's a stranger

00:06:05 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 6:

yeah i was on the phone i was on the phone with at&t the other day and the woman helped me with something that i i needed help with and i was like oh my god i love you i say that very different if saying it to my kids or you know my husband or my sister

00:06:20 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 5:

yeah but have you ever freaked somebody out with it that wasn't like a relationship you're saying it for the first time I don't know

00:06:27 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 3:

I mean probably yeah I absolutely

00:06:29 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 5:

freaked out my brother's girlfriend by saying it to her for the first time what did she do did she just look up but that could be you love her I actually love her I genuinely do but I definitely left the house being like love you guys and she was like do I love you Like, she was like, do I say it back? And I was like, well, I enjoy having you around. You don't have to say it back, but it would be nice.

00:06:52 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 3:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. I'm looking for a song here right now. I don't know. It's the Nicki Minaj flute. No, but you know what it is? That's what she used it from. Cardigans, love fool. No. No more I love you. Annie Lennox. I'm looking for I love you songs. Hold on a second. I'll order this one here.

00:07:14 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 4:

Give me the Akon Snoop Dogg.

00:07:18 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 3:

Akon, which one?

00:07:20 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 4:

I want to love. Oh, I want to love you, yeah.

00:07:25 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 3:

Logan, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. What's up, Logan? How you doing? Hi, Logan. Logan?

00:07:35 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Logan.

00:07:35 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 3:

There you are. Hey, what'd you do? Mute your phone?

00:07:38 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah, I was listening and I muted it. I forgot. Sorry.

00:07:42 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 3:

No, that's okay. What's going on?

00:07:44 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 1:

we're talking about people that don't say I love you yeah so I wouldn't consider myself a person that doesn't say I love you but like you know if I say like I love you like my grandma or my girlfriend or my brother or something like that and like you know I'll say it back instantaneously I'll say it to them I have no issue with that whatsoever but like I'm weird about it when it's anybody that's not family or my my somebody that I'm romantically involved with like you know my best friend i've been friends with him for like 11 years now and he's gonna he'll be the best man at my wedding and i'll be the best man at his wedding but like if he's ever if he ever says like oh i love you bro to me too it's like i just like i can't really say it i just like i feel

00:08:26 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 3:

weird about it interesting it's funny it is funny when you when you it's funny when you do say it to your buddy you always got to say bro at the end of it you know what i mean like it yeah right but but it is it is weird that you just say that you just can't say it back to him but i'm no i know that if he's your best buddy and he's going to be your best man in your wedding, you do love him, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah.

00:08:46 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 5:

I actually wish guys did this more. My brother and his best friend started doing this because they were noticing guys don't give each other compliments and friends don't tell each other that they love each other like women do. And I wish more guys had the confidence to say it because you don't hear it enough.

00:09:03 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 4:

Dog, I texted the group chat this morning. God bless y'all. I love y'all. Be encouraged today. That is so important. I think this has just started within the last year or two. My friends and I started to say I love you because for a while, for some reason, it just didn't feel masculine. Maybe that comes from what we were taught as kids and trauma and who defined what masculinity is and it being completely wrong. But fully agree, Megan. We need to start saying that.

00:09:24 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 3:

Jeanette, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

00:09:26 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Good morning. I guess I just wanted to say I'm kind of I'm like Shannon. I grew up in a family where we say I love you all the time. We get off the phone. OK, I love you. Bye. We leave the house. OK, I love you. Bye. when i got married my husband did not say i love you he was not a romantic type of guy at all um but he is slowly coming around and he says it every once in a while and now i guess it's even more in enduring because now he says it to the kids right because we have kids now yeah um so it's just it makes it more special because you know it was Thank you.

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 5:

It's something that he never grew up with.

00:10:02 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 3:

But, yeah.

00:10:03 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 6:

You know what? It is, honestly, I think that that softens you a little bit when you do have kids. What's up, Mary? Hi. What's going on?

00:10:10 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 3:

Hey. Yeah, I'm totally like Shannon as well. I'm so terrified that if I don't say I love you afterwards, then that will be the last time. And if I don't hear it back, I'm like, no, no, no, you have to tell me you love me. And I'll do the repeat phone call until you say you have to tell me you love me. And my dad passed away this past year, and we didn't talk a whole ton, but I think about the last conversation we had, and it was always, I love you at the very end of the conversation.

00:10:43 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 6:

Oh, that's sweet. That's sweet. And I get it, and I get some people won't say that, and it freaks you out because you have an experience like that where you got to say I love you, and you don't want that not to be the unspoken words of your last conversation. Ashley, this is a sad one. Ashley, how long were you guys in a relationship?

00:11:04 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Yes, I was in a relationship for four and a half.

00:11:10 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 6:

Four and a half years?

00:11:12 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 5:

He never said I love you.

00:11:13 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 6:

He never said I love you. Is that unreal?

00:11:16 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 4:

So if you said it to him, what would be his response?

00:11:20 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 5:

Nothing. He just would blow it off and act like he never said anything.

00:11:24 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 7:

Wow. Why did you last for four years with him? And is that the reason why y'all broke up?

00:11:31 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 5:

Yes and no. There was other issues, but, I mean, ultimately, yes. It wasn't going to go anywhere, so it was just pointless at that point.

00:11:42 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 6:

Man. Do you think that he loved you? Do you feel like he loved you without saying the words?

00:11:49 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 5:

Yes, to a certain extent. But I came from a family where he always said, I love you to this day. Every time he got off the phone, everything, he would always say, I love you. So it's just so weird.

00:12:01 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 6:

But like my wife says, actions are speaking louder than words. Unfortunately, you guys are no longer together and you guys had other issues. But I do think that four and a half years of not saying I love you.

00:12:11 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 7:

That would get to me.

00:12:12 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 6:

That would be tough.

00:12:13 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 7:

I hear and I understand that actions speak louder than words. But like saying it is an action.

00:12:20 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 6:

I agree. That's how I feel. And honestly, everybody has, you know, we talk about love languages. Everybody has different love languages.

00:12:26 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 1:

I mean, if yours is words of affirmation, you need to hear that back.

00:12:30 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 5:

I need to hear it once. If you don't tell me about, like, month four, why am I here?

00:12:36 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 6:

Kim, what's up?

00:12:38 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 4:

Hi. I was saying, I don't say I love you either. I'm kind of like Chelsea on the same page that your actions speak louder than words. But, you know, my mom growing up, every time we'd have to say goodnight to her and give her a kiss and hug, goodnight, if she said she didn't love us at the end, that meant she was mad at us for the day.

00:13:00 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 6:

So it does. But that's amazing that you say that. And then yet, and it obviously affected you enough as a child that it doesn't make you want to say it.

00:13:10 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 4:

Right. I don't, yeah, I don't feel like the words need to be spoken for someone to know that you love them. So I've actually dated guys where it bothered them that I didn't say that. And my girlfriends, they'll say, oh, I love you, like when we're saying goodbye. And I just feel weird saying that. Like, I don't know.

00:13:31 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 6:

It's interesting. Whenever we are traveling separately, my wife and I are traveling separately, I have to tell her I love her before she either leaves the ground or I leave the ground. and if the response doesn't come back and I can't get on the Delta Wi-Fi, I'm freaking out. I know it sounds weird to say that. The whole flight I'm thinking, God, I hope that nothing happens. But honestly, it's probably something that stems from my childhood, you know, and losses and all the rest.
