I was talking to Aunt Pat yesterday, my sister, and she was telling me that she had to go to the hospital. Oh, no. And I was worried. And I was like, why did you not call me? Like, you know what I mean? Like, call me when stuff like this happens. Even though I don't live by her. She lives in suburban Chicago. I said, you got to like, let, you know, let me know what's going on. And then she told me how she hurt herself. And I'm going to tell you this right now. I have never heard of this before. So we're going to call her up right now. Ooh, that was a staticky little phone line there.

And for those who don't know, my name is Tom. but um so pat i was just telling these guys how you you injured yourself and now she's in physical therapy too for this which is amazing i never uh in a million years knew that you can injure yourself something that i guarantee you one out of three of our listeners have already done today has required my sister to have to go to the hospital what could it be can you guys guess what it is taking a shower you're gonna take it is it taking a shower pat no no cooking no

Oh, good wine. Or making coffee.

Is it making coffee or cooking?

No.

No? Don't do that. It's like family view right now.

Going to the bathroom? Nope.

No.

Not that either.

No. Although that would be a hell of an injury. Crocheting. No. One in three are crocheting. Brushing your teeth. Crocheting. We're all shooting blanks here. No, but it is something to do with your mouth. um pat do you want to you want to tell everybody what what did you do injuring yourself

i i yawned too too big and i dislocated my jaw oh my god is that craziness wow man who was boring you dancing with the stars is kind of snoozy this season what were you watching here pat I actually wasn't watching. I was sleeping, and I woke up and yawned, and I heard a snap. But I also had a sinus infection at the same time, so I thought the pain I was having was just from my sinuses. But then when that went away, I had to go to the oral surgeon because it wouldn't stop hurting. It was so painful.

Was your mouth, like, stuck open? What's that? Was your mouth stuck open?

no um i i closed it but my problem is is um when i talk i don't really open my mouth that wide but if i open my mouth wide it hurts really bad in the morning in the morning it uh doesn't open i have to do these exercises wow pat's in i hate to laugh but pat's in physical

therapy while people are going to physical therapy because they got like a knee injury shoulder injury shout out to team rehab they'll do it all pat you're going to you're going to

physical therapy and what do they do for your mouth well there's exercises but then um then you know she said probably a lot of the a lot of the pain i have is i have a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders too and you know she showed me a thing you're you're you're all muscle in your face wow so she's just she says i she says i have a lot of tension how how is it i've never

in my life ever known of somebody to have an injury like this has any of our listeners ever done this thing could you imagine that you dislocate your jaw popped her jaw i've had it before where it's like i gotta like it'll click a little bit yeah depending upon what i'm doing

but i've never yeah that's tmj too because when it clicks but mine doesn't click you just go

straight to the dislocation i have a question pat when you originally had this injury how did you

tell them that you had this injury believe me no well you know the good thing the oral surgeon

said was you know a lot of doctors yell at me because i you know i'm half doctor by my dad's and uh i went on the computer and i just followed the tmj exercises and he said that actually saved

me from getting worse you got saved by the way i have to be honest with you you sound a little different when i'm talking to you or it could be that you're just very tired no i actually took a

Painful for my toe. Good for you. What happened to your toe?

I don't usually take pain. Don't talk about her toe. Wait, what happened to you?

Wait, no, I want to know. What happened to your toe, Pat? No, don't talk about her toe. Shush. Yeah, I had a placenta. I had two placenta graphings on my toe. What is that? Tell me more. They use a woman's placenta because I've had the sore that won't heal since May. And they're using the placenta. How do I get the placenta?

Jesus. they just got extras from the umbilical cord probably right or no or no or not or the women

are donating like you know their placentas for people who have oh i could have done that you could have been wearing my placenta on your toe pat told me yesterday on the phone and it's

been hurting my toe ever since she's told me about for in my job my jaw my toe she's like i may have to get my toe uh amputated i'm like i don't i don't want to i don't even want to hear it whenever

I hear this thing I'm like oh would you keep the toe if they let you no but I'm gonna get a tattoo that of a pig that says this little piggy isn't home

Pat oh my god I'll make it a necklace if you give it to me oh geez and Pat just lost a bunch of weight too by the way so we're very very proud of Pat we're very very happy well I think Megan

looks but megan was always beautiful but i think when i look at pictures of megan i'm like oh gosh

she's so beautiful did you know that you're my favorite member of your family oh christ

oh thanks she loves that too she has a lot of people's because i mind my own business yeah no you do not that's a bunch of crap oh my gosh pat you gotta you you know why your jaw got Is I'm a liar? No, because you talk so much, Pat.

To myself, because I'm by myself all the time.

Hey, so a couple of years ago, I had the exact same thing happen to me. I was yawning, and I just hear a pop in my jaw. I was awake during this time. and for the next year every single time like I would go up and down

They would unlock it and lock. I think they called it lock draw. Oh, did you hear that? I ended up going to the dentist, and they told me to push my tongue back all the way in the back of my mouth, and then they had two people grab the bottom of my chin, and I pushed it up to the point where... Let's try again. What kind of insurance are you going to have? It went back and it fixed it, and then the moment I went back to the parking lot and yawned, it unlocked again. And so for, like, the next couple months, that was my form of therapy. They said every time it happened, I would just have to pop it back in.

Good morning. All right. So a few years ago, I was pulling a slab of ribs out of, like, a chest freezer, and it slipped through my hand and landed on my foot. And I broke my foot by dropping a slab of ribs on my foot.

that's insane oh you got to come up you got to come up with a better story like you were running

the marathon or something i know right like everyone was like what what happened i was like i don't even want to tell you

good morning guys i totally had to do what your sister had to do with um mouth therapy did you i had to find and there's like there's like not a lot of physical therapists that do it Like, I had to go a little farther away from home to get it done, and she would, like, massage my head and my neck and my mouth just like you did. I was flossing, and I, like, I don't know, dislocated my jaw flossing, and it was, like, weeks before I, like, finally went to get help. But, yeah, it's the real thing. Totally.

By the way, could you imagine if you did dislocate when you were doing some mouth stuff? Tell me that that would not be your guy's greatest dream come true to be able to take you. I would take Chelsea. Come on, let's go to the hospital.
