I was at the game, so I didn't get a chance to hear it, but I'm on a group text with a group of guys, and they were all talking about how much they hate Chris Collinsworth. Why do people hate him so much? People just can't stand him. It's so funny. They all think that Chris Collinsworth wants to make love to anybody that's on the Kansas City Chiefs. That he just sits there and is in love with those guys. But what's his name? Mike Tirico is from Ann Arbor. And I know he's a Lions fan. I mean, I know, listen, these guys have to be unbiased. But you're living in the town. You know the excitement. You see him, how he was at the parade. He was the Grand Marshal of the parade. And he was excited about that going on. And the guy's like one of the most professional guys ever. But deep down inside, it's your team, you know, and you want to see them win. Also, you love the idea that you don't have to drive very far or stay in a hotel probably for a game. You get to, like, stay at your home. See some fam. Yeah, so that was pretty cool.

Drew Brees was at the game last night, too, with his kids. That was weird. Was he really? Yes. Why? His son is, like, wearing Jameer Gibbs jerseys. Shut up. That's cool.

Here's the weirdest part. Drew Brees, who you remember, he was a Super Bowl champion with the Saints. Drew Brees was sitting in the stands and then walked up past our section with his son. And it was like he was just a spectator.

Like taking pictures with people.

It was wild.

Like, I think that there's a lot of people. And I know a lot of people that aren't even from, you know, this area or has ever lived in this area that are just kind of like, you know what, I'm rooting for him because they've never done it before. They love the Dan Campbell kind of approach to things that he's a gambler and, you know, he's Dan Gamble going crazy and stuff on fourth.

down and they love that the team works hard they love that they know that we're going through a little adversity with injuries yeah i it's it's pretty cool but i will also uh say this to you it's hard not to like them yeah even though the other teams probably don't seem like they like us too much because we we go out there and hit yeah so i'm sorry it's gonna be a fun postseason

think that, I'm looking at this, I think people don't want to see Kansas City win it again. I agree. I think the only other team that I could see people getting excited about is Buffalo. Yeah. What do you think a Buffalo Lions Detroit Super Bowl, would that be boring for the rest

Baltimore is sneaky good right now, but I would prefer to beat Kansas city because they're trying to do what no team has ever done which is win three nfl championships in a row and for the kings of the nfl so to speak to be dethroned by the lions who are the underdogs would just be a tremendous story we beat them the last time we play that would be great um i think

it is going to be us chiefs in new orleans yeah and then what happened over the break in new orleans was crazy to see that happening i i still don't get like i i i look you know listen i know that there are there are terrorists out there there's no doubt that that this you know you you know you have terrorist incidents and we haven't seen one like this in in a bit where the guy just started driving through people which is just insanity but um and now obviously there's and there's other stories now that are coming out did you see that the guy was wearing one of those meta glasses so they really are now going through his videos of him walking around uh the days before that

to do a girl in his apartment or like airbnb that he was staying in or his house or something there was a girl that just like walked into the door and was filming herself really place after the fbi were in there really so the fbi paperwork was on the countertop crazy oh wait so very

interesting was that in his house that was in houston or was that in uh i think i think so don't

plans and stuff well the fbi totally f that that thing up from the get-go they said they initially said it was not a terrorist attack which i don't know what you call a guy driving through and

killing trying to hit as many people as he can and how about the cops not putting up the barriers

that they said they didn't know they had that did you watch any of the do you see any of the the police chief of new orleans who act who is like we got beat by a terrorist and she's like that's all we got to say and then they're like well what about these like i don't even know what they call them they call them something with uh bulliards or something like that or those big metal things yeah sidewalk yeah that thing that just come out of the out of the ground and they're like i didn't even know we had those and i'm going are you kidding me like you didn't even know that

Yeah, she was in the press conference. She was like in the press conference saying this stuff. But the part that I never understood, and I've been to New Orleans countless times. We used to go to New Orleans every year for this thing called Morning Show Boot Camp. I never understood why you could drive a car down a street where a bunch of drunk people were hanging out. Because Bourbon Street pretty much is just like a drunk, you know, fun party area. And you could just drive cars there. And I'm like, God, it's just crazy. I thought about this with the game last night. Like I, it's weird when an incident like this happens, what does it do? It makes you more aware of stuff. In front of Ford Field, they had streets blocked off with big old like moving trucks.

Yeah, they do that whenever a politician's downtown. They mark off all the streets with those huge like almost garbage truck looking things. Yeah.

And then they also had those things that you were talking about that these metal temporary things that you can't, you had to walk through them. Like, you could physically walk through them, but you could never drive a car through them. But I don't know. Where were we talking about? We were talking about the Lions. So we were talking about the Lions and them winning. I think that if, okay, if they go to the Super Bowl, I don't think it's going to be ever an affordable ticket, even if, you know. But I think it's one of those things where I would want to be there.

No, I want to be downtown. People are going to be here, too. people gonna mortgage everything in order to be there there's not a ton of fans that go to the

super bowl though and i think what verizon is doing is incredibly smart by doing it at every stadium across the country if you're a verizon customer you can try to win a ticket into your stadium to watch the super bowl they're gonna have parties literally across the country um but i would much rather be downtown where our Thank you.

flooded with detroit but i don't think maybe i agree with you but i i still personally even and i know y'all are not going to believe me even if i were offered a ticket to the super bowl i would still want to be here i think i really would i'm going to the i'm also not a fan of new orleans in general i'm not i've been once i'm good i don't ever need to go back i love new New Orleans. But I'd rather watch it in my house or at a party with people than watch it. Yes, with a bunch of fans. Simons and a ball. I have a couple of things I wanted to bring up, and I wanted to bring this up this morning. I either now do it or later this week do this or before our next game. I had the craziest thing happen. I went to, uh, my friend, Alan O'Block's, uh, um, his, his tailgate. And I'm sitting there having a conversation talking to this guy. And as I'm talking to this guy, I'm like, you know, describe him. This guy is like a guy who looks like he goes to like a barber in Royal Oak with like really nice cut hair. And like, he's got like, what do they call it? Like a fade, I guess they would call it right in your hair and stuff. Really cool looking designer and stuff. Everything looks good. Like he's a guy that shouldn't wear a hat. and then hour or so later this big dude walks in with a fro like a blue fro and an outfit a costume on like this line and he's a guy that i've seen on television before and i said to ellen i go ellen who's that and he goes who's that that's the guy you've been talking to all night i go who and he goes the guy that you commented about how great his hair is and i go that's him and he's like yeah and i go he just seems like such a normal guy and i'm like all of a sudden out of the blue he's got this costume on literally out of the blue like literally out of the blue and i what i want to do is and i don't know if any of the tv stations have ever done this i want to talk about the people that are the people dressed up for these games like these lions games the guy that you know dresses up in all the lions gear and has like the spikes coming out of him and you know he's got like the dog collar on and he kind of like looks or paints his entire face or belly or something like that and i want to know what do they do during the week like does does that guy

like work at like chase bank you know we know we know jason rasnick and he goes crazy we saw his daughter on the screen last night in a full like nala lion costume and he runs a financial media

company talking about data and investors i want to do like the uh by day by night yeah like side

But I want to see what they, like, it's funny.

Lions fans.

I just Googled Lions famous fans and it comes up Kid Rock, Big Sean, Eminem. Not that. I'm talking about, where would they be? Fanatic fans.

Yeah, I'm trying to get my brother to text me back. His, one of his really good friends' dad was a meme for the Lions for a very long time because he was sad at a game, I think, or was crying and had like a hat on or something. Oh, I feel like I remember talking about, or to him.

I feel like we talked to him. Crack, okay. Who is the guy? I look, I Google, it says, it says Ron Crackman, super fan. He's like, he's, he's, he's a guy that, that comes, you know, dressed up in costume.

This isn't a super fan that was at a game or anything, but yesterday I was at the gym and it was probably a couple hours before kickoff. And there was a guy, I mean, working his ass off on the elliptical. And he was wearing one of those humongous gray lion's hats. It looks like a baseball hat, but it's not this big. It's like 20 times the size of a normal baseball hat. How would you like to sit next to that guy? He literally had that on the elliptical. That's all I could see was that bouncing up and down.

That would be like sitting next to me at a game. You're not going to get much of your seed. What's up, George? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning.

How are you guys doing this morning? We're good, man. We're excited. I got to tell you. Oh, I'm sure. You know, I'll tell you. But the best way, if they open up the stadium for people to watch the away games, those are your true fans. Yep, right. They're not season ticket holders. Those are people that want to take their kids to watch. And what a boost of power if you're at an away game and you look up at their jumbotron and see Ford Field full. I was there when the Pistons won both years. I was at the Palace in a sold-out arena with no games going on. It's awesome.

See, I understand that, but I don't like people. And so I like seeing the game on the field or, you know, back in the Pistons days, I liked watching the game on court. I couldn't watch the game like there. And no offense, I think it is. You're right. It does. It makes your team feel excited. Yeah. But – Well, these – The people –

The people that were there, they were all like your buddies. It was like people that you thought you knew everybody in the stadium. It was awesome.

It is great. I love the people that are regulars that have been going to these games when they were 0-16, and now they're getting to go to these great games the last couple of years where we're winning the North, and it's awesome. Kevin and I sat next to a few fans yesterday when my friend gave me his tickets that you can tell that they've put up with a lot of crap over the years.

I wish we as fans organized more, like, things in the crowd. Wouldn't it be great when we were 0-16, it was traditional for us to wear paper bags on our head with just the eye holes cut out, like, embarrassed to be here season ticket holder. I would love if people wore, like, paper bags on their head that had the whole face cut out. So, like, we sell the paper bags, but now we're willing to show our faces. I would love that.

Where are the paper bag guys now? Because now they can come out and actually...

Oh, so I know the crank man, Ron's his name. He lives up near me in the northern suburb of Detroit. The guy is just a peach. He dresses every day in those bib overalls with his socks up over the overalls.

He dresses like that all the time?

Every time I've seen him in public, he is dressed up in that wacky Lions getup. But we rolled into a restaurant one day and saw him wear his Ford F-150 all decked out in Lions. Was parked in his house. We know where he lives. His house is painted Lions colors. Really? Like I told one lady to our kids and, like, just tries to get them really excited about the Lions. This was, like, last year when things just went, you know, down the drain for us. But he's just the nicest guy and just probably the best diehard fan for the Lions that has ever existed.

Love that.

My name is Ron Cracchiola, a.k.a. Crack Man. I grew up in Utica, Michigan, a little farming community back then. My dad bought there in 57. You know, I'd go with my dad to the games at Tiger Stadium, and it was just awesome, the crowd, you know, and the center field. You know, you had diehard fans there. You know, my dad knew people, and after the game, a lot of players would go across the street to Hoot Robinsons, and, you know, you'd get some autographs. This guy's like, wow. It was just a lot of fun. And I loved outside, the cold weather.

Do we know if Ron, is Ron a taken man? Megan's looking for somebody. Absolutely.

It was like, go Lions, baby! Ron was just there with a bunch of buddies his age having a few beers on a nice fall day. It was great.

These guys that I was tailgating with yesterday, like multiple of them are dressing up and they're doing their thing. And I'm like going, man, you guys go home? How long does it take you to get all that stuff off? You know what I mean? Like, this game last night didn't end until almost midnight. And then you're two hours in the parking garage. By the time you get home, they finally get the paint off their face right now. I took them over. Now, my dad don't go anymore with me.

He says, I'm out of control. The last game he was at, I got all, it was a touchdown. I stood up and my arm went flying. I almost knocked him over. He said, that's it, kid. You're out of control. I'm done with this, you know. I watch it at home on the TV.

the funny thing is could you imagine his dad finally admitting to ron this many years later 50 plus years later ron you're an idiot for dressing

yeah time into doing what you love and and you can tell he loves it because he's been there the

whole time it is great listen these are the ones who should be in the you know the superdome for the super bowl not the not the rich people that uh that are the sponsors and stuff like that i get

that see that's what i mean wouldn't you want to watch with true fans versus some guy who can afford a twelve thousand dollar ticket absolutely who's not even a true fan but can just simply

afford to be there that's how it is when you finally get a chance to sit close and you're ron and they look at you like what are you doing we don't need that up here yeah i think honestly

If you are the Ford family, you need to get that guy on a private jet to the game, take good care of him, because he spent more of his own money on your organization than just about anybody else.

That's the one thing about what Minnesota did with buying up all those tickets. I mean, I think that that's a great way as a team to say, you know what? We care about our fans. All right, thanks for the call, man. I appreciate it.
