And go on the radio with us So guys, big news in my neighborhood The complaining neighbor has moved out of the neighborhood Oh, really? Yes. So I got to tell you a story that happened a couple of weeks ago. And I didn't tell it on the air at the time because I didn't want to embarrass anybody. But now that the neighbor is no longer out of the neighborhood or no longer in the neighborhood, I can share it with you. My neighbor next door to me, very nice family. They were preparing for their son's grad party that they had. And they were doing a lot of like cleanup work. You know how when you have a party like something like that, you always end up like massive amounts of things you got to do. Yeah. So they ended up getting a power washer to do power washing. I did not know that you could power wash as much stuff as they were able to power wash, but they power washed everything, which was fantastic. I love power washing. It's addicting. Is it? Yes. Oh, my God. Is it one of those things that once you start, you don't stop?

00:03:33 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, once you start, you find other things to power wash.

00:03:35 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:03:36 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 2:

It's very satisfying.

00:03:37 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

So they were power washing on a Saturday afternoon. I think they started it at, like, noon, and it was maybe, I don't know, three hours of power washing. Well, the crazy neighbor got all upset about this whole thing, and I'm in the middle of them, so my yard's in the middle. And he walked across, what I witnessed was, walked across my yard to go and start yelling at the kid who was power washing and yelling about, Are you going to keep that thing running all day? He was all upset because all he wanted to do was sit on his back deck and just kind of chill, I guess. And the very calm neighbor of mine, who is the dad of the kid who was power washing, got very defensive. This is my kid. You don't sit there and yell at my kid, my teenage son, who's literally doing chores. These kids, I'm going to say this. I'm going to go on record to this. My kids are lazy sons of bitches. These kids who live next to me work so hard all the time. They are out. They're cutting grass. They're picking weeds. They're doing all kinds of stuff. They're unbelievable. I love these kids. And so the dad got all upset and said, hey, get off my property and stop yelling at my son. And they kind of like started jawing at each other. Oh, exactly. They started jawing at each other. Like you ever watch like a Tigers game and see.

00:05:00 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 5:

when a player or the manager, AJ Hinge, comes running out and starts yelling at an umpire. I mean, it turned into one of those situations. And I just sat back, loving every minute of it.

00:05:09 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 3:

I bet you did. This is great. Did you pull out your phone?

00:05:12 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 5:

I didn't. I was so bad. I should have done it. I was so excited. And then I was so wanting, because I have a ring cam, and I was like, man, is that ring cam catching any of this stuff? But the problem is, if the ring cam doesn't sense motion, it doesn't record audio. Because I was thinking, wouldn't it have been great is to be able to get the audio over the power washer. Turn, da, da, da, da, da. All you hear is going all this time. And so the neighbor who is the nice neighbor who has the very hardworking sons was talking to Chelsea and I, and he felt really, really bad, not that he yelled at this guy because he felt fine with that, but that he yelled and it was able to be heard in the neighborhood. But we all were for it because this neighbor was a little kind of cuckoo.

00:06:01 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 3:

Yes, absolutely. It blows my mind. Like I always talk about my neighborhood Facebook page that people will get on there and complain about. And just in general, not like early morning or late evening because I get that. But people mowing their grass or using a leaf blower or like a power, like anything that causes noise. Because I'm like, but they're trying to make their home look nicer. Yeah. So that our neighborhood looks nicer and you're like poo-pooing on them doing that.

00:06:27 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 5:

And this is like two in the afternoon. Right. On a Saturday.

00:06:31 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 3:

Right. I'm also the neighbor with the leaf blower. So I know it's very indirectly pointed at me. And you guys, I just added to the collection of my mini leaf blower. I just got a mini shop vac. Oh, my gosh. And let me tell you, that thing is amazing. 20 bucks, Mike. I'll send you the link. All right.

00:06:46 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 5:

By the way, you have more loud devices at that house. So you need to run them all at the same time And just see what the neighbors do Just see like what kind of Response you get you know Don't you think

00:07:00 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 4:

I'm so jealous of your Facebook pages though Ours is super boring like I want to just throw Stuff in there just to spice it up Like there's nobody complaining I wish there was some people complaining Yeah you want the drama

00:07:13 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 5:

In the neighborhood huh

00:07:13 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely it sounds great

00:07:15 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 5:

I think that Mike you need to be the person To start the drama then

00:07:19 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 4:

What should I complain about?

00:07:22 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 5:

No, you should be the person that maybe causes the problems that gets people to start the drama and start yelling about you.

00:07:29 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 3:

Weren't your Christmas lights an issue? Because they were going into your neighbor's living room?

00:07:32 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but they never complained on the page. The only thing they could complain about because my neighbors actually said something is I kind of let my bushes go right now. They're outside of my house. I haven't had a chance to let Mike. Heaven forbid. I know, but they're bad. They're really, really bad.

00:07:45 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 5:

You never want to have an overgrown bush.

00:07:47 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, trim that bush, Mike. It's out of control right now.

00:07:50 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 5:

You should use one of Shannon's devices that she has at home. I bet you she has a device for that one.

00:07:55 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 3:

This all sounds really interesting, doesn't it? I'm sorry.

00:07:59 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 5:

I know. Well, you know what the problem is? The problem is they started that. What is that, Nextdoor or something like that? Is that what the thing is? They started that stupid thing, and that thing is just basically meant nobody goes on there to say nice things. Like, my neighbor has a very nice clean house now. They just power washed for two and a half hours for a party. They go, the guy was running the power washer for two and a half hours and all I heard was the whole time. Could you imagine living next door to Shannon with eight different devices? They're minis. Come on. Thank God. That is true, by the way. That little leaf blower is literally the size of a hairdryer.

00:08:36 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 2:

Do you know my brother and I went out and got a new lawnmower because we were worried that we were these people?

00:08:42 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 5:

Did you buy an electric lawnmower that was quiet? We did.

00:08:44 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 2:

We specifically did because we were like, we are bothering all of the neighbors. We got to get something quieter.

00:08:52 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 5:

It's three in the afternoon and we don't want to bother them with our lawn mowing. What does that thing do? Does it just go?

00:08:58 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 2:

It's so quiet. I didn't even know he cut the grass the other day. Really? I was sitting in our living room watching television and he came inside and he's like, cut the grass. I was like, what?

00:09:07 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 5:

Does it have an extension cord or does it have a battery that's charged?

00:09:11 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 2:

It's like a battery that you charge. It's almost like what you use in, like, your power drills.

00:09:15 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:09:15 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 2:

It just takes two of those.

00:09:16 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my gosh. Man, that sounds like fun. You are very environmentally conscious.

00:09:22 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 2:

It's not even that. It was cheaper than a gas one. Really?

00:09:25 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 5:

Who would have thought? Listen to some of these complaints. People have got some neighbors that are fed up. Jordan, is your neighbor the complainer?

00:09:33 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

So I actually had two crazy neighbors, and I was talking to the one, and she was complaining about the other one, and he just happened to come to his window. so she turned to him and started yelling at him and like giving him the finger and he started yelling back and then he turns around, drops his drawers and sticks his butt against the window I'm standing there looking at this I'm like, I don't need to be a part of this

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 2:

I don't want to see that.

00:10:02 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 3:

That's when you know you're a grown person who lost their spit to the point that you are sticking your butt up against the window. How bad is this neighbor? Jen, your voice disguised, because obviously you've got some scary people living next door to you. But what did your neighbor do?

00:10:19 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, I do. So my neighbors, I graduated like a while ago. And I remember, and this just continues on, whenever we have a big event of some kind, they decided to do the loudest yard work, like loudest. But for my graduation party, they decided to put their full sprinkler system on. Oh, my gosh. And we had it in the garage. I mean, just like a typical family would, like out into the driveway, and they just put their full-on sprinkler.

00:10:48 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 3:

Wait, they wanted people to stay off of their lawn, so they put their sprinkler systems on while you're having a grad party.

00:10:55 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 4:

We weren't even on their lawn, but they're just so petty. And it's like they blast my family all over Facebook. And every time they do, it's not like an issue against origin.

00:11:08 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 3:

What in the world has gotten into people? What town do you live in?

00:11:13 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 4:

I don't want to say.

00:11:14 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. All right. Well, thank you for listening. Are you afraid of that neighbor? Are they mentally unstable that you think that they'll do something to you if you say something about them? Or they know who you are?

00:11:25 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 4:

No, but they're just, like, suck-up snobs, and nobody in my family likes them.

00:11:30 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Well, congratulations on your graduation. Hi, Alice. What's happening?

00:11:36 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, Mojo. How are you?

00:11:39 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 3:

Alice, I'm doing fantastic. I'm excited for the weekend.

00:11:43 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 1:

I am so excited. And can I first say, please, good morning to all of you guys there, because I have been listening to you guys since you've been on the air. No joke. Hi, Alice.

00:11:52 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 2:

We love you.

00:11:52 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 1:

Hi, I've met you guys all before, but I literally didn't want to do voice disguise, so I didn't name disguise, because I am terrified to tell you guys this story, because everyone in the world knows this story right now, if you live in Metro Detroit, because I am complaining about my father's neighbor, and we're going to call her Karen, and the other neighbor is Karen 2.0, because my father, who is an innocent man who was on a golf course this morning, and I really hope he hears this, does nothing wrong in his life. He's worked his entire life to own a trailer in, I'm just going to say, Canton, Michigan, okay? He's retired. And he is getting complaints and fines. $50 so far this week because I have been over helping him move, unpack, repack, and I have ready, quote, long-term COVID. So I keep passing out on his lawn.

00:12:43 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 3:

What are people complaining about, though? Stop for a second. What is the complaint?

00:12:47 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 1:

that his daughter is too loud on the lawn during the day and at night with the ready guys quote loud christmas tree lights i put a god darn thing yeah in the shed because i wanted some dim light for the quote blue hair gray hairs who are sleeping and have problems at night because low light is where i work better and they drive by they wait you put a christmas tree up you put

00:13:17 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 3:

a Christmas tree up in summer?

00:13:18 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 1:

I did. I have pictures, you guys. I can show you right now.

00:13:21 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 3:

Why did you not just go get a light? Why did you just put a Christmas tree up?

00:13:25 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Mojo, stop trying to man-understand this because I'm trying to tell you what you said. There was nothing in it but the lawnmower. And not the lawnmower. I'm quiet.

00:13:34 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 2:

I'm not sure what that is.

00:13:36 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 1:

I'm still confused. Why the Christmas tree in June or July? Because literally I was going to throw it away, guys, and I was trying to donate stuff. I was thinking about your breaking and entering, and I thought... Okay, so you weren't putting it out to put it out.

00:13:48 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 4:

You were just cleaning it out, and it happened to be out.

00:13:50 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 1:

I plugged it in, started sorting through both of my parents. My mother passed about four years ago, and he still hasn't gotten rid of stuff. So I plugged it in to see if it was worth even donating. Only two-thirds of it worked, guys. Two-thirds of it worked.

00:14:04 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so Alice, let's pull this back together, because I don't have all day for this one here. Your neighbors are upset because a Christmas tree is on, or because there's a few more things that are on this list?

00:14:17 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 1:

All of the above because they're all selling their houses and going out of town for 4th of July, and they're now asking me and my father, are you guys going to be home this weekend? You seem to always be out in the lawn.

00:14:27 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. I have no idea what to save with this call other than...

00:14:33 - 00:14:34 | Speaker 1:

I don't either.

00:14:34 - 00:14:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, other than I got a feeling, Alice, that they may not be 100% wrong on this one.

00:14:42 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 1:

And they're not. They're not. The only difference is they just changed their name from retirement to senior. And that's why my dad's out golfing and I'm cutting his lawn this morning. Oh, okay.

00:14:52 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 2:

All right.

00:14:52 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 1:

And that's why I called you guys because I turned you up real loud and I'm about to start the lawnmower. And Karen's over there.

00:14:57 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 3:

Hold on, hold on. Turn, turn, ready, ready. I'm going to talk to them.

00:15:00 - 00:15:05 | Speaker 6:

neighbors you got it up loud right um i'll roll the windows down because i am right here in front

00:15:05 - 00:15:12 | Speaker 5:

of the trailer park all right all right here we go ready please i'm so sorry you guys have to put

00:15:12 - 00:15:18 | Speaker 6:

up with this you're probably not wrong you're you're not wrong me neither i'm sorry i'm so

00:15:18 - 00:15:26 | Speaker 2:

Okay, Shannon, I killed her lawn.

00:15:26 - 00:15:35 | Speaker 6:

I killed her lawn because I left the lawnmower out too long, and it's a patch of lawn. I cut it too, and she's mad. 14 years. My dad just moved in. I didn't know it was her lawn.

00:15:35 - 00:15:39 | Speaker 5:

Wait, so you left the lawnmower running while you're talking to us?

00:15:40 - 00:15:41 | Speaker 6:

Yes, I did.

00:15:41 - 00:15:50 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. So while you're talking to us, the lawnmower is just running by itself. Have you ever thought of an electric lawnmower? A friend of mine just bought an electric lawnmower, and it's fantastic.

00:15:51 - 00:15:55 | Speaker 6:

I know she did. It's so much cheaper than the gas. I just filled the gas in with them about the cut. Yeah.

00:15:56 - 00:15:56 | Speaker 5:

All right.

00:15:56 - 00:15:57 | Speaker 6:

We're getting one tomorrow.

00:15:57 - 00:16:06 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Listen, I— Have a good day, guys. You, too. You, too. You, too. Have a good one. Yes. Have a great day. Take care of yourself.

00:16:06 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 1:

I just want you to know she didn't say any of that when I screamed that call.

00:16:11 - 00:16:14 | Speaker 5:

Guys, I think it's time to go on vacation. Oh, my God.

00:16:15 - 00:16:19 | Speaker 2:

Okay. I love how even Ellen was like, don't blame me, don't blame me.
