This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:01:22 - 00:02:04 | Speaker 1:

My name is Metarica Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently, even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and stuff are really there for them so when they don't know that i'm their resource that explain

00:02:04 - 00:02:17 | Speaker 7:

and show them that they're here to help us ready to make your own bishop statement visit bishop.edu today and start building your tomorrow at bishop state community college cav you witnessed or not

00:02:17 - 00:02:36 | Speaker 6:

witnessed you heard of uh a situation that i don't think i've ever heard of and you lydia and i were having a conversation about this um a situation where the crazy ex comes into play but this crazy ex was not a woman it was a crazy ex guy yeah bro i was talking i won't say her name because

00:02:36 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 5:

they still kind of going through a situation but hanging out with my friend who i haven't seen in a minute she pulled up to a pistons game and we kind of reconnected last week and was like hey man we should we should link up so i went over to her home and we're chilling we eating or whatever the okay, well, we didn't eat at that point. We were going to get something to eat. So thinking about going to get something to eat, she says, I'll drive. So we go in her garage and she used to have a Jeep. This car that we got in wasn't that Jeep. So I go, you get a new car? Like, what happened to your Jeep? She was like, oh, my boyfriend bust the windows out of my Jeep. It's in the collision shop right now getting fixed. Now, in my mind, every time that I've heard about crazy exes, it's been the reverse. it's always been projected that you know women are the ones that key the cars put the sugar in the gas tank bust the windows out so I was extremely shocked when I heard that her boyfriend was the one that was busting windows out the car on his Jasmine Sullivan

00:03:33 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 4:

what'd she do? at that point? what did she do that he had to bust the windows out of her car?

00:03:40 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 5:

I ain't dig that deep you didn't ask that question? no I don't think there is a reason Like, I don't think I would ever, nothing could ever make me, like, bust your windows off. Like, that just seemed weak to me.

00:03:52 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 4:

No, I agree with you. I would just be curious. Yeah.

00:03:55 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 6:

That's not a guy thing usually because the guys usually don't do that because you're right. They just play mind games or do crazy stuff. They don't usually get destructive unless, I don't know, if there are any listeners that want to share with us, like, what did their crazy acts do? And that is kind of a wild thing.

00:04:12 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 5:

I'm talking about all the windows. Back window destroyed all of them. And that means that he was really hurt.

00:04:20 - 00:04:24 | Speaker 4:

That's why I said, I want to know what happened.

00:04:24 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 6:

She obviously really caught him off guard. Or he was just then nuts in the south. Probably both. Yeah. By the way, does anybody know if Jasmine Sullivan has ever had a relationship after she made this song?

00:04:40 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 4:

She was just in town. She opened for Maxwell.

00:04:41 - 00:04:52 | Speaker 6:

Did she? Come on, ma. Did she ever end up getting another guy? Anybody that just blatantly comes out and says, I'll bust the windows out your car. You don't ever want to break up with her. Let her break up with you.

00:04:52 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 5:

I want to say she had an album called Hotels that was crazy.

00:04:55 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 6:

Was it?

00:04:56 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:04:57 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

Have you ever had a crazy acts? Me?

00:05:00 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 4:

I would say I've done some emotional damage to some women who've acted out emotionally, whether it be calls or pop-ups or stuff like that, but never any physical damage or harm. A few of my clothes from my last relationship magically had bleach on them and it was an accident, but hey, who knows?

00:05:17 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 5:

Was it bleach in bad spots or was it looked like accidental bleach?

00:05:22 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 4:

I mean, if an accident is you knocking over the whole can and it falls on hoodies and stuff, maybe, I don't know.

00:05:27 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 5:

I like the girls that don't bust the windows, but do stuff to your clothes, like where they cut them up and stuff.

00:05:33 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 7:

I told you about my friend who cut every, when she found out her, they were actually engaged at the time, found out that he was cheating on her. She cut every single zipper out of every single pair of pants that he owned. That's insane. Diabolical.

00:05:48 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 5:

That's awesome.

00:05:48 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 7:

Every single one.

00:05:50 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 5:

That's criminal minds. Jasmine, but not Jasmine Sullivan is on with us right now. Jasmine, on line number 27, what did your crazy ex do to you, Jasmine?

00:06:00 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Good morning. First of all, first time, long time. We got Jasmine on the phone. Hey. Okay, so one of my exes actually cut up my couches and smashed my TV.

00:06:17 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. Very great. Really? Like, took a knife to your couches?

00:06:24 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 3:

a razor to my couches. My brand new sectional I bought and cut up my couches.

00:06:30 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 6:

And I'm going to be honest, you can go out and replace the TV same day, right? It's annoying. He shouldn't have broke it, but you can go out and hit up a store and get it. Couches can take months to be delivered.

00:06:42 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 3:

No, I had to get rid of it. I actually went to the store and got like needle and thread and tried to, you know, sew it back up and it didn't look bad, but every time, you know, a piece of of the inside would come out and my kids would start pulling it out and it just looked tacky. So I had to get a whole new couch.

00:06:58 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 4:

Were you there when he did this or did you come home and see it?

00:07:03 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 3:

I came home and saw it. What did you do? Because we were going through a breakup.

00:07:09 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. But did you cheat on him or anything?

00:07:13 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no. He got caught cheating.

00:07:15 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Yeah, he's just crazy.

00:07:16 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 3:

He got caught cheating.

00:07:18 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 5:

I'm sorry, Jasmine, that happened to you.

00:07:20 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 3:

But he took his defense off. Yeah, I did smash one of his TVs.

00:07:26 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you did that first.

00:07:30 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 3:

But that's because he had ruined one of my things. So it was like, you ruined one of my things. He won up to you with a couch. You ruined one of my things, I ruined one of your things. I always like that, by the way. She saves that to the end.

00:07:41 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 5:

She's like, let's make him look crazier than I'm going to be crazy. Grab Lisa. Lisa, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. What did your ex bust? What did they do?

00:07:50 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 1:

we had um bedroom in our bedroom the closet was full mirrors and he thought i was hiding a guy in there so he smashed it and shattered the mirrors oh my gosh what made him think that there was a guy in there yeah because we were separated and he's always accused me of cheating and i want and i never did but we were separated he accused me of cheating and he thought i hid

00:08:12 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 5:

somebody in there that's that's actually insane that is yeah that is nuts uh god yeah how how debummed would you be if you're the guy that breaks the mirrors only to find out there's

00:08:26 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 4:

nobody inside you gotta replace him looking dumb in the mirror grab uh grab cameron on

00:08:34 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 5:

line one what's going on cameron how you doing hi how are you good what's up

00:08:41 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 2:

uh yeah i just have a crazy girl ex-girlfriend story oh i had a girlfriend i just broke up with her i was just done and she would like every day for about like three weeks she would come and just put cones in random places in my house and she put them in front of my car cones is that you said like like traffic cones like big like big yeah orange traffic cones okay and then she always turn in the mirrors of my car and she did this for about three weeks i couldn't get her to stop

00:09:10 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 6:

So random. I'm not going to lie. I kind of love it. It's not real damage. But it's just annoying. We should give you this color from them. And it shows how dedicated she was to go around and get them. Every day.

00:09:22 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 5:

Although there is some construction site that doesn't have cones anymore. Tell line A or line two, it's initial A, that we're going to try to voice disguise them. Zach, will you fire that sucker up? uh voices guys line number two initial a are you there yeah i'm here how you doing what did your

00:09:47 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 2:

crazy ex do um after i got a ppo against him uh he went to my ex-husband and made a bunch of lies happen

00:10:00 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 5:

about me and my ex-husband who is not involved in my children or my life gave up custody walked away from us filed a motion to try and get my children back oh no and they tried to take my

00:10:15 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 7:

kids away from me so it wasn't that he tried to damage something physically he tried to damage your reputation enough to get your kids taken away from you yeah i claimed i was drugging my

00:10:26 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 5:

children that i was selling myself that's horrible did you end up having to fight this

00:10:32 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 7:

he called the irs on you i went government i'd rather have my windows busted

00:10:38 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 5:

did you lose your kids um no no um we went to court um lasted 10 minutes and um they had to

00:10:52 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 7:

pay my attorney fees because they had no proof of anything but what went so wrong in a relationship

00:11:01 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 5:

that made him do that um what was so wrong he's crazy yeah i don't i don't like that because sometimes people just don't he he got the ppo sometimes guys just or people i shouldn't say

00:11:14 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 3:

guys but people just don't want to be dumped there's not anything that they did to justify that behavior there's a massive insecurity in being alone with some people hey thanks for

00:11:25 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 7:

00:12:08 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 7:

00:12:13 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 4:

00:13:15 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 7:

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders

00:15:25 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 2:

have to say. I would say Bishop State is like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people. Classmates, please in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be the thing you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So they'll be able to meet new people or meet heads of new people have been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State, with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits

00:16:10 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 3:

I would go for a four-year. Ready to make your own Bishop Statement? Visit bishop.edu today and start building your tomorrow at Bishop State Community College.
