It was nice to see all the celebrities, though, showing up last night, you know, instead of having everybody not be at the awards, which happens so often. It seems like, you know, you ever watch like American Music Awards or any of these other awards that are on? Like, nobody goes to the award show. It's like, I'll accept that for them. I hate when that happens. That and the hip hop performance at the end was, to me, the greatest thing in the whole Grammy. You know, I missed that. I got to watch that.

I didn't stay up for that. They put it too late because they did that 20 minute Motown thing at the beginning and everybody lost interest and then you didn't get to the part at the end where all the young

people lost interest. Because I thought that it seemed like the crowd loved it when they did the Motown thing with Stevie Wonder and Smokey and those guys.

Listen, I'm a huge Motown fan. I'm a huge Stevie Wonder fan. Inner Vision is one of the greatest albums ever. But 20 minutes to poor Smokey. You want to talk about Madonna's plastic surgery? Smokey Robinson.

But he's got beautiful eyes. All right, Heidi, are you there?

Mojo on the morning show. mojo spike shannon megan mike uh kp lydia katie it's good to have you guys here with us so uh this weekend we took luke to go and visit the campus where he decided that he's going to go to college he's going uh to state and we did a tour of uh pretty much everywhere on the campus i mentioned earlier this morning when when we were you know starting the show off i could not believe how much walking i did and they forewarned us you know ahead of time they said it's a 90 minute tour dress warm if it's cold outside and you will do a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes 10 000 steps in 90 minutes that is insane we walked the entire campus which that is a huge campus i never realized how big of a campus it is because you know i usually would go there and just go to games and stuff but i never really would spend any time it's crazy like as a freshman

you're not allowed to bring a car to campus so yeah you gotta hike it i mean they do have

will he bring a bike or something are you allowed he's gonna have a bike yeah because i think

everybody does have a bike they said that uh that everybody uh kind of brings a bike knowing him and how he is

He'll have that thing stolen in about a week.

Oh, God.

Can you have scooters?

Can you bring those electric scooters?

I don't think so. I don't know. I haven't delved into that. We did go into the dorms, and we got a chance to actually walk into a dorm. And they have like a, it's not somebody's dorm, but you're on somebody's floor.

And it's always so nicely decorated and sponsored by IKEA, and it looks way nicer than any students.

You know what? The couple of the colleges that we went to tour did that. They don't do that at Michigan State.

No?

No, they take you into a dorm that I'm not kidding you.

It's realistic?

It looked like a realistic dorm. Like, it was like, I looked in there and I go, the furniture was from, like, 1960. And I'm looking at it, and I'm going, oh, my God, this is, like, perfect. Because otherwise, you make it look so nice. And then if you don't get that nice dorm, and you're in the bad one. Because everybody tells you you want to be in Brody, I guess. So, if Luke gets the bad dorm, then he's like, oh, crap, they showed me the good dorm. Well, now anything's like a step up, I think, from what we ended up seeing. The food looked amazing. I would be 8,000 pounds if I went back to college. Same.

We didn't have fast food on our campus. Now they have every restaurant.

And they have, you ready for this? They have, you pay for your food. You can have unlimited food. They basically were telling us you can eat anytime you want to as long as they're open selling food. And they are open to like midnight or 1 o'clock in the morning or something like that. So I was looking at that going, I would be eating all day. I wouldn't even go to class. They'd be like, well, actually they wouldn't because those classes are like 600 plus people in the thing. But they would never know me because I would be in the cafeteria. Every cafeteria worker on parents weekend, I would go to the cafeteria where everybody would go, hey, Tom, what's going on?

Tom, you're going to have to leave. We have to clean up between lunch and dinner.

They would wonder if I was a student or an actual employee working at the cafeteria because the food just looked amazing. It was a really awesome tour. But something weird happened that I'll tell you about here in a second, something that actually Mama Bear was not happy with, and she hates when I call her Mama Bear. So if she's listening right now, she's probably throwing something at the car speaker. What's going on, Josh?

Hey, I went to Michigan State here, just graduated this past May. You need to get your son a moped. Those are the things to get around campus.

Really? A moped? But you can't have that as a freshman, right? Because don't you need a parking spot?

Oh, yeah, you can. No, you can have one. The parking spot costs like 50 bucks, and you can park any designated moped spot on campus.

You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to bring that up to Luke, and he's going to make fun of me because, but he'll love it. I wanted to buy one of those Vespa scooters for myself, and he made fun of me so bad, it would make me feel happy I'd buy one for him just to have him riding one of those.

You guys can cruise together. I'd love to see that. Me, too. Me, too.

Yeah. So let me tell you what happened, Katie, to him while we were on campus, okay? Okay. So we're on campus, and I posted a picture. You can see it on the Instagram from Saturday. I did see it. Did you see it? Chelsea, myself, and Luke. All right? and we're uh leaving you know east lansing and heading on 96 to head back to west bloomfield and as we're driving luke says oh my god i am getting a million uh requests for people to to you know that want to follow me and i said and i said what because i didn't tag him or do anything like that i go what and he goes yeah and he goes and they're all girls and i'm like what and chelsea's like what what you know because usually usually it's you know me going what you know in a happy way chelsea's going what in a not so happy way right yeah if i was chelsea i'd be like deleting his instagram so listen to what happens because joe from the joe show my son and joe and luke's brother tags luke and stuff people found out who luke was on social media and you're ready for this one a bunch of college girls from michigan state were sliding into his dms oh i love it but i was a good looking kid but i was like you know i was like wow this is kind of cool and then he starts telling he's like holy he's like oh my god he goes

this one girl's a grad student when he's 17 years old i mean i would be chelsea was she was like

you're not accepting you can't do that and you know i'm the guy that's really you know i have like a problem with uh luke going out to parties and things like that i'm like he can't go to a party and she's like he's gonna be in college he's gonna be in college and chelsea you know Well, of course, we'll go, he's going to be in college. You know, he's got to, like, you know what else? So I did the whole with the girls. He's going to be in college. Chelsea, you there?

Yes. Yeah.

Okay. What does mom think of these girls hitting up Luke on Instagram?

Inappropriate.

But they could show him around campus.

Inappropriate. He is still in high school. They are in college.

Inappropriate. What is wrong with it? You know what, though?

Chelsea says, if you had a daughter, you would never. I go, exactly. But for a son I'm just kind of like, you know what? You know, Luke, this is nice. you'll have friends at school we want him don't we want him to fit in no inappropriate i'm at that

point i was trying to get you and dennis not to enroll in that school yeah so chelsea's best

friend growing up her husband dennis and i were talking about how we want to just enroll in school right because we didn't get a college experience yeah it's like the greatest college experience

ever to be on campus my dad used to come visit me at butler and we i would take him to fraternity

parties and he was a hit chelsea already was trying to look up what parents weekend was because i was excited i might take off a week for parents weekend it might be parents weekend not a week i i here's the thing though luke is i you always like to say that luke looks like you this is a compliment to your looks that there are girls flirting with them it's inappropriate and how do we know that they are actually

wanting that you know to to do bad things i said this could be a man you have no idea it could be a man who's taking pictures and just inappropriate.

Listen, but think of this. We said we want to make sure he has tutors when he's on campus. Guess what? He'll have tutors on campus. No.

I have a question because I've been listening to this show for a long time, this Mojo in the Morning Radio show. I remember you telling me a story once about the age difference between you and your wife when you guys met. Yes.

And I had already graduated from high school, and when I first met you, I didn't even want to talk to you.

No, but this is fair.

Hey, so I just wanted to say I was at MSU on Friday visiting some friends, and they were actually telling me that they get notified sometimes that MSU is going to bring a tour into their room. So I don't know how true that is for every tour they do, but that's what they were telling me.

Oh, so it's like it's real student rooms, like current student rooms. So they must have been out at the time that we were in there.

Yeah, exactly. They must get notified at the time, and just they let them know, you know, clean it up or whatnot.

Does Luke, is Luke going to go in blind, or is he going to know his roommate? Is he rooming with somebody that knows? I don't know.

Chelsea, do you know that? I don't even know that. I don't pay attention. I didn't hear.
