Hey there, I'm Kat. I'm a college athlete. I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, which caused back pain and stiffness every day. With Cosentix, I'm able to stay active.

00:00:29 - 00:01:09 | Speaker 2:

Cosentix Secukinumab is prescribed for adults with active psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, or non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis. Available in both IV infusion and self-injection. Don't use if allergic to Cosentix. Get checked for TB before starting. Increased risk of infections and lowered ability to fight them may occur. Like TB or other serious bacterial, fungal, or viral infections. Some were fatal. Tell your doctor if you have an infection or symptoms like fevers, sweats, chills, muscle aches, or cough, had a vaccine or plan to, or if IBD symptoms develop or worsen. Serious allergic reactions and severe eczema-like skin reactions may occur. Learn more at 1-844-COSENTICS or cosentics.com.

Good morning, Mojo in the Morning Show, coming up in just seconds from now. The valet who helped Shannon escape, she'll tell us that story. Plus, Megan is not really an outdoor kind of girl. Wait till you hear what happened to her this weekend. And the second date update coming up in the next 20 minutes. We got all of that coming up and more. I do want to do this, though. We said that we were going to announce our Mojo in the Morning daddy-daughter dance. And it is time now to announce that. It is time to announce that we are having a big party, okay? So this is something that we've only done once. We've only had an opportunity to, you know, have an opportunity to do a daddy-daughter dance once because COVID ended up hitting, and it was honestly one of, like, the best events that we've ever done on this show. the mojo in the morning show daddy daughter dance is happening on june the 23rd it's going to be at a brand new venue it's going to be at a place called district 142 which is in wyandotte it's a great venue where they're doing like concerts and cool parties and stuff at and i actually got a chance to tour this like six or seven months ago while it was still under construction and make a decision of whether or not we wanted to do daddy daughter dance there i made the decision before walls were up like that because it's such a cool venue and we haven't had a party down river you know in wyandotte or taylor or you know uh uh why am i brain farting right now Woodhaven Southgate there you go I we have not had a party in a long time there so here's what we decided that we're going to do June the 23rd it's for daddy daughters that are 21 and up so no little kids that are going to be allowed to come to this thing it's you having your dad have a special moment so if you're an adult woman and you want to celebrate dad for father's day and bring him out to go out and have a night of partying it can be for you and your girlfriends to take their dads out and celebrate the men that actually are the good guys in this world because there's not a lot of good guys a lot of people always say i want to marry a guy that's like my dad well there's not a lot of guys that are like that so why not just go out with your dad

00:04:20 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 6:

it is such a fun night um megan brought her dad to the last one i brought my dad tim murphy to the last one and it's so cool because all of the dads then start hanging out with each other and And it's such a fun night for them not only to spend quality time with their daughters, but also to just meet other dads in the area and have a hang.

00:04:41 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 5:

The way Scott Mick is absolutely obsessed with Tim Murphy now. Oh, and vice versa. Yes.

00:04:46 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

So here's the story, guys. This year we're doing something different with this, too. And we may do this for a lot of our events. We're going to use it as another opportunity to raise money for breaking and entering Christmas Wish. So if you want.

00:05:00 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 1:

to buy your way in the money will go to breaking entering christmas wish or you can wait to win your way in but the tickets aren't that expensive it's like 25 bucks a piece okay so 25 dollars a ticket so you and dad 25 bucks 50 bucks for an evening and remember it's a donation yep goes to breaking and entering helps us grant more wishes uh you can go to mojo in the morning.com for all the information about the mojo in the morning daddy daughter dance june the 23rd let's give away some tickets so why don't we grab a couple winners here uh lydia do us a favor and uh go through the phone lines 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 why don't we grab 95th caller and grab the uh next caller after that so 96 caller we'll have a uh a chance to uh to win district uh 142 if you live in wyandotte you guys are probably driven by it i don't know if you've done this have gone on social media. They've had some concerts and some parties that are there. This place is gorgeous. It is really, really

00:05:59 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 5:

nice. Everybody who's been said it's a really fun time

00:06:01 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 1:

too. And they're so nice. I mean, first of all, Julie and the entire team over there, they're so nice at helping us out with the Daddy Daughter Dance. They're going to make things special for you. Here's what I kind of suggest for the evening if you're somebody that comes to this party. I would suggest you get your tickets, either buy them or win them. Then make your reservation or find a place to go have like a pre-meal beforehand if you want you can kind of enjoy the light appetizers and fare that we'll have along with cocktails um and then go out afterwards if you want and then come and just have a fun time with your dad just come time you know come and party with him I know you guys both said that your dads really enjoyed this but was it just wild for you guys to see all the other daughters and dads that were really enjoying

00:06:53 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 3:

it? Well, it was really nice for me because a lot of my cousins and uncles went as well. So it kind of felt like a mini family reunion. I don't know how many listeners realized like how many family members I had the last daddy daughter dance. Yeah. And you know what else I loved too is this daddy

00:07:08 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 5:

daughter dances weren't a thing when we were little. And so to see some of the dads get really dressed up like i i can't i'm trying to think what my dad wore did he wear i know scott mick wore a um a hawaiian shirt because we matched i wore a little bit some of the dads dressed up in like full suits and top hats and canes and it was so much fun just to but to have that opportunity that they didn't get when they were you know when we were little yeah mike you remember what it was

00:07:39 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 1:

like to take cecily to daddy daughter dance could you imagine if years from now if you're able to

00:07:43 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 2:

still do that when she's a grown woman well you always think about too the moment where that those dances stop like eventually you hit a grade where those dances stop that's an awesome thing to do

00:07:53 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 1:

like i hope to do that someday with her yeah it becomes honestly like a sad moment when your daughter grows up but not anymore when we've got daddy daughter so yeah uh hold on a second no i thought that was a hold on i was looking for the uh the song that makes shannon get uh god not on Monday. Yeah. Hold on a second here. Ready? I think I got it right here. Here we go.

00:08:14 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 5:

Kev, the newest member of our show, you're learning I despise

00:08:18 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 1:

this song. Have you ever heard this song before, Kev? You have?

00:08:22 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 4:

I'm glad it's not Friday. I wouldn't have guessed it.

00:08:24 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 1:

No, you wouldn't have gotten it? You wouldn't know exactly who it was on the throwback throwdown?

00:08:28 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 4:

It's a creepy song.

00:08:30 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 1:

This is a very creepy song. Here's what I suggest. I know you said you have a girlfriend. We thought she was a fiancé, but girlfriend? Yeah. play this tonight if you guys are going to make love. This is a good song to make love to. I'd get out of bed. I don't even know if I would get up. Kaylee, what's going on? Are you there?

00:08:49 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:08:50 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 1:

Would you like to come to the daddy-daughter dance?

00:08:52 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to cry. I want to so bad.

00:08:54 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 1:

Aw, you're in. Congratulations.

00:08:56 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 5:

Oh, thank you. I'm reading on our board. You're from Wyandotte. Have you been to District 142 yet?

00:09:02 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 4:

No, I have not.

00:09:04 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 1:

Do you want to tell us a little bit about your dad? Because you say you're going to cry. This has got to be somebody special.

00:09:11 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 4:

My best friend. I just had a daughter, and her middle name is John, after him.

00:09:15 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 5:

Aww.

00:09:16 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 4:

Everyone made fun of me because how dare I give a girl a boy name.

00:09:19 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 5:

No, I love that.

00:09:21 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 4:

I love him. He's my best friend. He babysits. He goes to work seven days a week, and he has everything for us.

00:09:28 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 1:

That's so sweet. Well, we look forward to getting a chance to meet John. Kaylee and John are coming. And tell Lydia if you want to get some tickets for, like, friends or other sisters that want to come, too.

00:09:38 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 4:

I was about to say, I'll buy one for my sister, too, because she obviously has to come.

00:09:41 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's nice. Hey, hold on one second. Abby, what's happening?

00:09:45 - 00:09:46 | Unknown:

Hi, guys.

00:09:46 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Abby, you're a winner, too. Congratulations to you, Daddy Daughter Dance. Thank you.

00:09:52 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 3:

I'm so excited.

00:09:53 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 1:

We're excited, too. Tell us about Dad.

00:09:56 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. My dad is literally the best. He's so...

00:10:00 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 1:

funny and he worked so hard he's like in his upper 50s and he just bought a farm and but he was never a farmer and he bought a farm no no he moved from the suburbs um out to the middle of nowhere and bought a farm because he life was slowing down and he wanted a hobby so it'll be fun to get him back out with people in the real world wait a second is he going to smell

00:10:28 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 4:

like a farm when he comes to this thing? Does he smell like farm? No, we'll make sure he gets a shower beforehand. That's cool. That's so sweet. And Abby, how old are you? I'm 26. 26 years old. That's what I picture. I'm telling you, I picture you're in your 20s or 30s or even 40s and you're bringing your dad for a daddy-daughter stance. I love that. Again, go to mojointhemorning.com so that you can get tickets for this. You can either win them from us and keep listening. We'll be having them from now until June the, whatever the heck it is, 23rd. Or you can buy them and they're just 25 bucks a piece and the money goes to breaking and entering Christmas wish. It is our Mojo in the Morning Daddy Daughter Dance.
