All right, Mojo on the morning show. So, Megan. You there? Did you go home? Yeah, that's me.

00:02:10 - 00:02:15 | Speaker 3:

No, I was waiting for the sentence to continue. I thought you went home. All this love crap is barfy, isn't it? Yeah.

00:02:15 - 00:02:19 | Speaker 4:

This is a fun show, guys. I'm very excited.

00:02:19 - 00:02:33 | Speaker 7:

well listen uh we got to talk we got to talk love we got to talk more love there's a lot of love in the air right now great i love it and what is your idea as far as dating is concerned oh wow

00:02:33 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 4:

this yeah this really fits in with today's theme because uh it's hard out here being single let me tell you this show really reinforcing it today it's really driving home how loved i feel and um I'm going to be really honest. I'm very proud of myself because for the majority of COVID, I was playing it very cautious. I stayed home for a very long time. I didn't really do anything. I started going out on the weekends again. I started pushing myself to get out of the house and to get dressed up and to go do things even when I don't necessarily want to do them. But I have found that I really don't leave my house during the week unless it's to go grocery shopping or run errands or go to work. I don't do anything social. during the week and it's it's um tough it's very tough I feel like during COVID a lot of my friends who were maybe dating got engaged and married or started having kids and I'm in this like weird life stage where it felt like my life was put on hold for two years and I couldn't date and I couldn't do anything and other people just made these huge leaps and bounds I feel very stuck and I saw this this TikTok of this girl who'd said in 2023 she was going to start dating herself and i love that and i um think it's such a smart idea but i also do think our world is built for couples and not single people and i'm not really sure how to go about dating myself and leaving because i don't feel like there's much you can do alone i don't know i i've heard

00:04:05 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 7:

more and more people that have told me that they have started taking like more time for themselves And recently, one of our sales reps was telling me the best thing she ever did was over the holidays, went on an alone vacation.

00:04:20 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:04:20 - 00:04:26 | Speaker 7:

She went on a solo trip. So I kind of like that. If you can't love yourself, how are you going to love anybody else?

00:04:27 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 4:

Can I get an amen up in here?

00:04:29 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 7:

Amen up in here. I can get you that. I got it in my box here.

00:04:33 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 3:

Can I get an amen?

00:04:35 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:04:35 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 3:

That was a straight RuPaul reference story.

00:04:38 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 7:

Oh, I don't have that one in my box, but send it to me.

00:04:41 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 3:

That's how he ends every episode of the show. You started it, I finished it. It was kind of a nice little tag team we did there.

00:04:47 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

So why don't we open it up? Because you know what? There are others that are listening to the show. As a matter of fact, I bet you that there are more people feeling that way right now.

00:05:00 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 6:

then there are people that feel like they're in love right now that are listening to this radio program.

00:05:04 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 2:

No, I agree, but I don't think there's any real solutions to it either. I think a lot of single people will tell you that this world is not built for single people, but there's no real solution to it either. It's just frustrating. Even when I go out alone, I love taking a buck and going out alone. People stare at you. People look at you weird. People say, who are you waiting for? It's just really a knife in the chest every time somebody asks, one menu? One? Is it going to be one today? The judgment is unnecessary.

00:05:33 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 6:

But you get tables faster than those that go with two, three, four, or five.

00:05:38 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 2:

You can have a bar seat. True. You know who's always sitting at the bar, though? The people you don't want to talk to. That is right.

00:05:49 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 4:

You just want a table with silence.

00:05:50 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 6:

The counter at a Coney Island is always, to me, I actually want to do that as a bit on our show called Counter at the Coney Island. Who are the people I'm going to meet there at the counter today? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number or text 95500. Anybody that has already started doing this that might want to give Megan some advice on this? Are there better places to go to than others to be able to date yourself? What's going on, Eric?

00:06:24 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 5:

Hey, yeah, I just wanted to say, like, Megan said, like, the world isn't made for, like, single being single and stuff like that. But believe you me, you can do anything you want being single. And you don't have to take anybody else's feelings or desires into consideration. It's all about you. You know what? One of my favorite things to do when I'm by myself is go to a restaurant, sit at a bar, and just people watch. That is amazing. You get to see all the different people, all the different personalities around you. Sometimes there will be a couple arguing, and you're like, okay, I don't have to deal with that crap. Yeah.

00:07:04 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 6:

Or kids crying. I don't have to deal with that crap. I have to apologize for all those things.

00:07:10 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I'm going to get dessert. Yeah, that's right. I don't have time.

00:07:14 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 6:

Exactly. That's the other one, too. You don't have anybody rushing you to go home or telling you that you got, you know, all right, can we just wrap this thing up or can we go home? Like, you can actually have more fun. Or do you, Megan, when you're at a place, do you feel more pressure? Like, people want that table back.

00:07:29 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 2:

No, I don't even know if it's that. So I actually did go on a vacation by myself very recently. I remember in September I went to New York by myself. Yeah. And while part of it, you're 100% right, I loved not having to make sure everybody was having a good time, doing what I, you get to be selfish. You're like, I did what I want to do. It was also one of the most isolating experiences because I was almost silent the entire weekend because you just don't have people to talk to. And it almost reinforces more how lonely you are. I was calling Ellen. I was calling Mojo and talking for like two hours at a time because you're out in public and you're doing what you want, but then you have nobody to talk to. It's very isolating.

00:08:08 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 6:

Wait a second. What did you say? You were what with Mojo?

00:08:12 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 2:

Talking?

00:08:13 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 6:

What's wrong with that?

00:08:15 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 2:

I was like, did I curse? What did I say?

00:08:19 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. I was like, what's wrong with talking with Mojo?

00:08:21 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 4:

No, but you have a very similar personality type. Mojo and Megan both need to talk to people. You need social. I love being by myself. I love silence. But that doesn't fit most people.

00:08:32 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 6:

But you know what's funny, though, Megan? When we go out in places, people want to be with us because we have an energy to us.

00:08:39 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 2:

Sometimes. Right. But I also think that's draining. The fact that we kind of present ourselves As the entertainers Sometimes I just want to have a nice Glass of wine, a gin and tonic And a simple conversation Without having to be like the jester Of the night

00:08:55 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 1:

I also feel like with dating specifically I feel like I'm always the person interviewing And for once I just want someone to take the lead Yeah

00:09:03 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 6:

Well Eric can, Eric sat there And was trying to talk non-stop and we were cutting him off The poor guy If Eric's single and you're single Why can't we all just hang out together What's going on Jen

00:09:14 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 3:

I just want to say I think this is a great idea I'm married now and in my late 30s But when I was like my mid 20s I used to go out a lot By myself and I've never ended up Alone though I'd always end up talking to people Or you know just going out to eat Or going to the bar alone I'd always end up talking to people Like I guess it's about You know what you make of it

00:09:38 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 6:

Yeah Are there places that are better than others To go to?

00:09:45 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 3:

God, I mean That was like 10 years ago for me So I couldn't tell you now But I mean back then

00:09:51 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:

Now she's rubbing it in She found somebody Hold on I'll go to Sandra Sandra, what's going on?

00:10:00 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 11:

morning hi there guys i've been listening to you forever and by the way i used to work at your costco at commerce township oh yeah we love it yeah before yes um but i want to tell megan you have got a fantastic personality and i'm telling you girl you walk in that place sit down have a cocktail and let them know it's your choice to be there by yourself and be confident because that's more sexy than anything i've done it before and nobody you know it's more confident more sexy i think to be confident in what you're doing than worrying about what other people are thinking about you sitting across the room from you. Can I get an amen? Amen. All right. Thank you. I like it. I love you, by the way, Sandra. Thank you. I love you guys too. Sandra,

00:10:44 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 8:

don't end this by saying that you've been married for the last 25 years.

00:10:49 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 11:

Oh, nope. Honestly, I've been single. I'm 48 years old and I've been single up until the last

00:10:55 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 8:

two years and got married um so where did you find that uh that guy where did you find her her her girl uh match.com actually oh god i don't megan you don't want to do match.com i still

00:11:07 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 4:

love that she still ended it with i am married but back in my dark days i did uh what's up kelly

00:11:15 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 10:

kelly megan i think i just want to say that when you really know yourself well you're comfortable with yourself and you don't really care what everyone else thinks so you just need to get to that point where you're comfortable going out alone or being at home alone by yourself it's really just about knowing yourself well can i get an amen

00:11:39 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 4:

i i think that's great you agree with that megan or no no i do i do agree with it i feel like the segment has quickly become i hate myself which is no no no no i don't think anyone's saying that

00:11:53 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 7:

But they heard when you said you had a chance, you did go on a vacation by yourself, and you had struggled with handling it because you don't like the silence. You like to talk to people. Are you looking for more so ideas of things to do to date yourself? Yes. Like suggestions?

00:12:08 - 00:12:08 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:12:10 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 8:

Chanel, you're a bartender, and your bar would be a good place to go to?

00:12:16 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I work at Park Downtown, and you would be surprised how many people come in there by themselves. You know, because, like, it's a bunch of business people and just random people going on lunch, and we have tons of single people coming in there. All right. That place is beautiful.

00:12:32 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 9:

I was going to say, that place is amazing.

00:12:34 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 8:

They're coming in by themselves because they can't afford to have somebody else in them? You know what, though? That might be a good place for Megan to go to, though. If Megan shows up, will you make sure she's got a spot up at the bar?

00:12:48 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 12:

Absolutely, and I will take great care of her. Love you. Thank you.

00:12:51 - 00:12:52 | Unknown:

Thank you.

00:12:52 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 12:

Love you guys. Bye.

00:12:54 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 8:

All right. Take care of yourself. All right. You know what we should do? We should do a solo vacation where everybody that comes on a vacation with us, oh, my God, this is a great idea because we got a cruise company that wants us to do cruise. We should do everybody come solo.

00:13:09 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 7:

When no one's allowed to talk to each other?

00:13:10 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 8:

No. They all come solo, and then we all meet there. We all meet at the place. And then that's where we all hang out.

00:13:17 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 6:

So isn't that like a singles mingle?

00:13:19 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 8:

No. singles means everybody always wants to bring one of their friends but bring people that just want to go solo just to hang out with the people they've never been with before I think that would be fun because then what the deal is is when you do want to talk to somebody you got common interest I listen to Mojo in the morning I hear the whole deal I think it could be kind of fun and they all have to be guys that look like Harry Styles and Meghan's the only woman that's allowed to go

00:13:45 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 9:

now I'm in
