As thousands upon thousands of people in the crowd began running toward the stage, causing 10 people to lose their lives, leaving many others injured. Travis has maintained from the get-go he had no idea that there was a stampede happening in the crowd as he was performing. and he's always pointed to the fact that there were police officers in the crowd who were responsible for the safety of the fans. Travis's rep said, now that this chapter is closed, we hope for the government efforts to focus on what is most important and that is stopping future heartbreaking tragedies like Astroworld from ever occurring again.
