This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:01:06 - 00:01:51 | Speaker 3:

My name is Medterica, Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently, even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:02:02 - 00:02:06 | Speaker 6:

First dirty on the last day. Megan, what you got to say?

00:02:07 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 4:

Man, you know what's terrible? We've been talking about Gene Hackman and his wife dying for weeks, and I have another update for you that is just not good. The bodies of Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy are still unclaimed at a New Mexico medical examiner's office. Now, this is more than a month after their deaths. Hackman and his wife's bodies were found in their Santa Fe home back on February 26th. Remember, they had passed weeks before they were found. They were still on the New Mexico Medical Examiner's unclaimed descendants list as of Monday. Now, that list is updated each week, indicating that as of days ago, that they were still laying in the local morgue. Bodies lying unclaimed for up to a month. that's actually not necessarily unusual. Officials say that the 95-year-old actor's family could still be making funeral arrangements. Okay, let's talk about Blue Origin because they've set a date for its space flight featuring Katy Perry and Gayle King and that journalist, Lauren Sanchez. All right, the all-female crew is going to take off on April 14 in West Texas. What I think is absolute malarkey is that we didn't do this all-female crew during Women's History Month. We missed it by two weeks, guys. Really? We got that close? Anyways, they are going to travel to the boundary between Earth's atmosphere and space. Okay, that's known as the Carmen Line.

00:03:31 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God, I'm so smart.

00:03:33 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

And once they arrive, they're actually going to be waitless for roughly four minutes. Now, here's my question. Is that even going to space, or is that just an incredibly high airplane? That's like glamping. it's like glamping but like for space yeah i'm so sick of them saying we're gonna shoot them off into space well yeah a kite goes into space if that is your marker okay that's not space space is like gravity with george clooney and sandra bullock that's space space is interstellar space is that mars movie was you're losing me you're losing me what is the name damon damian oh my god ben affleck and ben affleck and armageddon no ben affleck and oh my god matt man there we go matt damon um jesus christ we're we're losing it it's definitely a friday uh the woman convicted of killing music legend selena has been denied parole after spending decades behind bars specifically seating the singer at a Texas motel in 1995. Yolanda is going to continue serving a life sentence at a prison in Gatesville, Texas, after a three-member panel of the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles voted to not release her. The board said that the panel found that Yolanda continues to pose a threat to public safety and that the nature of the crime...

00:05:00 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 5:

indicated a conscious disregard for the lives safety or property of others her case is going to be eligible to be reviewed again for parole in 2030 so she'll only in there for quite a while wendy williams heading into the next stage of her guardianship battle now the former talk show host has gotten permission to hire new lawyers to help her out in her stalled case she's been locked in that guardianship for roughly three years so far she's been saying that she doesn't need the guardianship she doesn't like her guardian sabrina morrissey on top of that so that's like a double entendre of pissed offness uh changing lawyers gonna help her get what she wants she's been campaigning to change this whole situation for a while now i think we've spent a lot of time talking about how harvey levin from tmz has been interviewing and helping her out and then she's also gone on to the view to make her case how you doing how you doing uh that viral youtube dating series you guys ever watch pop the balloon of course i love that series i'm addicted to it there is nothing that makes my jaw drop faster than watching somebody walk into a room of people holding a balloon and all of them get popped right away i would feel so ugly anyways if you don't watch a show they will have like a line of people it's either women or men they switch it up and then they have a suitor come in and if you pop the balloon that you're holding it means I don't want to date you but if you keep your balloon not popped that person can come and ask you questions and either pop your balloon or they might answer a question and then you pop it but balloon just means I'm in popping it means and with that information I'm out right well that show is now upgrading from YouTube to Netflix. How cool is that?

00:06:52 - 00:06:53 | Unknown:

That's really sweet.

00:06:53 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 3:

That's awesome.

00:06:54 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so it's going to start every Thursday, starting on April 10th, and it's going to actually air live on Netflix starting at 8 p.m. Eastern.

00:07:04 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and the girl Arlette that started it will be executive producing. So that's a really cool thing, and Netflix didn't just come steal it, but she'll be a part of the creation and leading the team to create this. A really dope story. Super cool.

00:07:17 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 5:

And then baseball fans, get your butt down to Toledo because today is opening day for the Mud Hens at Fifth Third Field. Now, if you didn't know, the Mud Hens are actually the farm team for the Tigers. And today is our opening day. Kevin, Zach, you're both going to come down and join me and Daniel today as we broadcast on Kiss Live, right? That's a yank! Oh, we're going to be at Fifth Third Field from 2 to 4 today. But, man, doesn't opening day, and I know the Tigers is next week, but, like, for me, it's always been the Mud Hens, obviously, because I'm born and raised in Toledo. But it just feels like spring, even on a bad weather day. It's like a holiday. But it's going to be great weather today. Yeah.

00:07:58 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 3:

I'm excited to come down there. I've never been to Fifth Third Field. I've never seen a Mud Hens game. I've only spent a few moments in Toledo, mostly at the zoo. But I'm excited to come down there and see some listeners and have a great time at opening day. Ugh. I'm going to be drinking.

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:09:40 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 2:

My name is Patrick Pettway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. To be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State paid for all of my tuition, not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, so I don't use technology too much, but it was very understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast. These past two years, things have just moved in a total different type of way. It's like its own moving entity to see things manifest the way that they do.
